We stay here every time we’re in Scottsdale. Love the 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. The hotel staff is fantastic and helps with anything you need. Very nicely equipped fitness center. Full breakfast. Outdoor grills and fire pit. The only part of the property that needs attention is the cleanliness of the pool. There’s always dirt on the bottom and debris floating.

We only booked this property because of its proximity to old town, Scott sale and the fact that it had advertised a heated pool and a hot tub. In fact, we chose this hotel over several others who did not have a hot tub. When we arrived, the pool was freezing cold. We chatted with the maintenance staff and he said that it was broken. The hot tub is also out of order our entire four nights stay! Our kids could not enjoy the pool at all as they were freezing cold after two minutes. No other guests were using the pool either for more than a few minutes as the water was freezing and not heated as advertised. We did complain on our second day and we were given 1.5 nights in hyatt points. However we feel we should have gotten at least double this amount for the inconvenience. The breakfast is OK. However, they only offer fresh fruits every other day. Staff friendly location great. Can’t give more than 2 stars due to pool and hot tub out of order the entire 4 night stay. Not advertised on their website. Unacceptable for a Hyatt. We paid good money to stay here.

Roomy space with a nice seating area and kitchen. No elevators in a 3 story building but parking was close to the stairs. Breakfast had lots of options. Hot tub was out of order when we were there.

We had a good stay at Hyatt House. No issues or concerns. Check-in was quick and staff very friendly. Pool area got busy pretty early and there aren’t too many chairs.

Overall it was fine. Could use some upgrades. The pool area did not have enough chairs or towels. Asked for towels took over an hour until they showed up. Asked front desk 3 times for hand towels and wash clothes. Eventually I went to desk and got them. The rooms were spacious and for the most part were fine. Carpets are old and need replacing.

The hotel and grounds were very clean. We stay here often when we’re in the Scottsdale area. The hotel does not have elevators. They do offer breakfast, but since Covid, it hasn’t been as good as it used to be but it’s still a good price for the money spent.

Room space was excellent for a family of 5. While reading reviews, it was noted the breakfast was fantastic - it was okay, nothing special. Rooms are definitely dated and worn. Next time, we'll need to research the area as there was a night club right across the street that was open 11pm-2am and was very loud - music and people. Limited seats at the pool, especially when people leave towels on chairs to save them, hours at a time.

We have stayed exclusively at this hotel for many years while enjoying baseball spring training. This was once a great place that was truly a great experience. However, today, this is absolutely NOT THE PLACE for anyone who values clean facilities! Our room was filthy and smelled disgusting. We had to leave the AC on the entire time just to mitigate the stench. We had no soap, no trash can. The protective strips on the wall corners were detached from the walls in several places causing a hazard when walking. In addition, the once great breakfast has been reduced to still frozen fruit for soggy waffles, undercooked bacon which was mostly just congealed fat and greasy. Last , but not least, the bar was once a lively gathering spot for people to enjoy some light snacks and libations and now they don’t have anything including alcohol!! The bar was out of stock of most beers and wine and limited hard liquor due to “vendor “ issues. The only enjoyable part of this now dreary and broken down mess of a business was the bartender Nancy who had started working there last year and remembered us and greeted many there by name! She deserves a medal for putting some personal touches to make the experience better for those who wander through this now tawdry landscape.

Room was huge. Lots of space. Problem was the the room was not clean. Specifically the bathroom. There were stained foot prints in the tub. There was also hair on the floor. Called after checking in and they sent someone up, said it was a stain and to call the front desk tomorrow. I called the front desk and they had to look things over and promised to call my cell. They never did. I called on my way back to the hotel after being out all day….they did over to let me change rooms but at this point it was late and I was exhausted. Just showed at a family members house and stayed in the room for the final night.

I like Hyatt house properties because you get a full kitchen, which is great. My room in this hotel however was pretty gross. Hair all over the bathroom floor, window shades that looked like someone had vomited on them and honestly...the sheets smelled very stale. Like old cigarettes. Not up to the typical Hyatt house standards, from my experience. Three nights here was more than enough. Other areas of the property were fine.

Being totally honest, this isn't a 4 or 5 star property but it is located in the perfect location with easy walking access to shopping, dining, nightlife and much more! The pool and hot tub are great, the breakfast was consistent, the coffee was terrible (HA HA!!), and the grounds are very well kept and relatively quiet. The rooms are showing some wear and this property - or our room at least - had the worst pillows we've ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and bring your own if you can! Overall this property is a very solid choice if you temper your expectations and want to be in the heart of 5th Avenue and Old Town Scottsdale. We'd go back in a second.

Our room was on the bottom floor facing the street which was lass than 25 from the street. A bar was directly across the street which played their loud music until 2 in the morning. Each night there were 2 dogs in the room next to us who every night would bark and howl until their owners showed up at 12-1 in the morning. Needless to say but I will never stay at this property!!!

I have stayed at this property once before and really enjoyed it.I was a bit disappointed with my room this time. I think the layout wasn't as good and seemed a bit tired looking. The breakfast options were good, but the pancakes and waffles were not hot and not that good. I recommend having waffle makers and or a pancake maker instead. They are great. Unfortunately, every night of my stay included being woken up, sometimes multiple times, by loud talking guests (I assume) next to me and the guests above were up at 5am. The floors squeaked when they walked. The good aspects were the room size and having a kitchen area with a full sized fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, including the housekeeping. The area felt safe and the property is close to Old town and Fashion square mall.

Property was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff. Some repairs needed: bathroom pocket door was very hard to roll, cabinet door covering bubbling, 2” hole under main door. Great water pressure and temperature, nice walk-in closet.

This was by far the best run facility with regards to check in process, cleanliness and the staff was very pleasant. The breakfast bar in the morning was amazing. I plan on staying here again and the location is very convient to all areas of Scottsdale.

My only complaint is the front desk attendant upon arrival was a bit rude. My room wasn’t ready at 4pm and he was not accommodating at all. He informed me there would be no compensation for my inconvenience and there is no guarantee that rooms will be ready on check in. All other staff were pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The room was nice and clean and was the perfect set up for a family with teenage kids as they had a separate room across the two bedroom apartment style room.

Anne and her team were incredible. The rooms were clean and the service from the front desk team was 5 Star quality. I usually stay at Marriott properties for work and personal, but now I will also look for Hyatt options. What a great stay and within walking distance to old town Scottsdale shops and restaurants.

I had a room that I wasn't very keen on the bathroom. I voiced my displeasure and was given a new room without hesitation. They asked what I didn't like about the other room and when I responded, they jotted some information down so they could address the issue and gave me a new room key! That's just great customer service and is why I will always keep The Hyatt House Old Town on top of my list! The front desk staff, the grounds crew, the bartender.....everyone I interacted with was beyond friendly and outgoing. It's a great location and a great place...especially for the price point!

If we return to Scottsdale, we will definitely stay here. The private entrances were a big plus. So were the doors separating the bedroom from the sitting area. Good breakfast, attentive staff. A great experience.

This hotel doesn’t have elevator so if you get a 2nd or 3rd floor room good luck carrying your luggage. Even do I am gold member had to wait until 3 PM to get my room, witness some else getting a room right away so I was a bit annoyed. We came with grandma and ask for a room in the lower floor but they refused to give us one.

The property was not very clean overall. It was next to nightclubs that played loud music past midnight on New Year's Eve, but also every other night as well! Service staff and breakfast were "OK". Main complaints were the property/grounds are not very clean, and the nightclubs make it Noisy.

Had such a nice time here. The rooms were clean and large. Each of the rooms had a full kitchen, living space with a couch and tv, and a separate room for a bedroom. We were perfect walking distance from old town Scottsdale. About a 5-8 min walk from the bars/restaurants. Would definitely come back again

The Hyatt House Scottsdale/Old Town was within a block or 2 of Old Town. We walked each day and found it a welcome change to battling for parking! Staff was very friendly and polite 🙂

The hotel is in great location in Old Town. Walkable to shopping, restaurants, bars, & the Giants Stadium for Spring Training Baseball Games. I would stay there again

The property was well maintained and quiet. Great location. The breakfast buffet was great. Each day you had a different meat and featured item like pancakes, french toast , etc. Liked the layout of room. Great shower (no bath tub) the water flow from shower head was a good amount of water to shower with.

We were pleasantly surprised that our room was more of a suite than a hotel room. We had a sitting area, a kitchen with a stove and dishwasher and a separate bedroom. The bed was comfortable. Overall the room was clean except for the carpets which were worn and stained. If you stay here bring slippers! The pool area was very nice though pool towels ran out and it took quite some time to replenish them. The buffet breakfast was very nice for a hotel and had everything you might want. There was also a machine for filtered water in the lobby. The 3 star rating for this hotel is accurate, in my opinion. We were in town for 2 nights for a wedding and this worked out well for us.

Breakfast- selection was good. We’ve stayed at this property 5-6 times and the omelette station was something we thought was great & appreciated it also set the property apart from others! Pool area-new furniture is desperately needed. There were several adults at the pool but not enough loungers.

The best word I can come up with is “suffient.” While close to the river walk, shops and restaurants, the overall property is dated. Additionally, the bar was closed almost the whole time we were there. Further, the breakfast was bearable. No omelette station as advertised on their website. Lastly, there is a lot of traffic car noise if your unit is facing or near the Main Street. Staff is nice.

The properties clean and well kept. The staff was professional and friendly saved for the lack of knowledge of the surrounding area. The breakfast that was served was terrible. The eggs that were served were rubbery, the bacon was undercooked, and the raisin bread was stiff, but not stale. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but not worth the money spent.
