Only 1 working elevator so long waits. Owners, please invest in your property. Staff and guests would appreciate it. All staff very nice.

The hotel staff were excellent and very accommodating/attentive. The hotel is an older hotel but it is maintained well. Parking is free and at the rear of the building. Loading and unloading your luggage with a cart is a bit difficult due to the ramp. If you have a lot of luggage and/or parcels going down the ramp safely can be a challenge as well as trying to go up the ramp. However, the hotel staff will assist you. There is no breakfast but they do offer coffee and tea (name brands Keurig and Twinings) and hot chocolate. They do offer extra towels and have vending machines for drinks and snacks.The rooms were very clean and quite affording you a good night’s sleep. Our room was equipped with a fridge and a microwave which is great for food and/or medication. The surrounding area is sketchy and I would not leave any valuables, purchases, alcohol, etc. in your vehicle nor would I go for a stroll in the area at night. We had no issues with the vehicle but again, I would not tempt fate. Check out time is noon and you will find your hotel card disabled at that exact time unless you arrange for late checkout. You will not be able to enter the rear of the hotel nor can you gain entry to your room after noon.The hotel is centrally located to the Destiny mall which was a disappointment but other shopping malls are close by and worth the drive as opposed to the mall. All in all, the hotel stay was very pleasant and the price was reasonable when compared to other hotels in the area.

The room was perfectly acceptable and appointed for the price, which actually feels like a good value. Dedicated parking and walking distance to many points of interest.

I'm not going to say it's a bad hotel, because it's not. But it's not as good as the 8.8 rating it had when I booked the room. It's clean enough. The room was decently sized, but nothing special.

We've been going to the Parkview for about 15 yrs for an annual weekend in Syracuse. I believe it's been through at least two owners over that time. Its a nice generally quiet place to stay. It's clean and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. They used to have a small bar/restaurant inside for drinks and breakfast which is no longer in use. It would be nice to see it open up again to offer a free continental breakfast or to stop in for a drink at night. The price is usually quite reasonable except on a Canadian long weekend when prices typically go up alot. I would recommend the Parkview if you are staying in Syracuse. It is close to the downtown where there are many excellent restaurants and a short drive away from Destiny USA mall.

We had a great stay. Excellent location. The staff was very helpful. The gym and laundry were well used.

Property needs to have better handicap access there is no handicap access at the front desk you have to go around to the back door not good

The room was bright and comfortable. It was called a suite, but really was just a larger than average room with a small kitchen area. The staff are very friendly. The fitness room was good, except that the tv required 2 remotes with no instructions on how to use them (so it didn't work for us). One thing that should be easy to fix is that there is a smoking area just out the door to the parking lot. I have a major tobacco allergy, and it was a really nasty surprise to get a huge dose of cigarette smoke on the way to my car. Moving the smoking area 10-15 feet away would help a lot.

Very relaxing stay. Should sort the out of action lift out. Otherwise great.

The room was not clean. Bedspread had blood spot. Walls had spots of dirt in bathroom. Floors in hallway had several stains on them.

I traveled to Syracuse on business. As a government employee I was attracted to Parkview based on rate and distance from my conference. I checked in 3/28/24 and checked out 4/1/24. I booked a King Suite. Upon arrival the lobby looked good - took a while for an attendant to show at the desk. I was assigned a room on the 5th floor. Upon entering the room - it was clearly not the suite in the pictures and there was an overwhelming stench of old cigarette smoke. I tried to open the windows - but they were locked. This is when I saw the dead flies. Lots of dead flies in every window - on the window ceil, on the window break. In each of the 4 windows in the room there were 3-5 dead flies. I cleaned up the dead flies and noticed that the window ceils all had a grimy film like they had not been wiped for some time. and went to flush them and noticed the bathroom was dirty. I should have taken pictures but was not thinking at this point. I went back down and told the attendant who apologized and assigned me to another room on the 4th floor. This room looked clean, did not smell, and was a King suite like in the pictures with a kitchenette. No alarm clock though. Things were ok until I turned on the TV and the volume kept fading and increasing. I ordered food - and went to the in-room kitchenette to get silverware and a glass. The hotel needs to be updated. My room had an awful smoky, body odor smell. It was terrible. The hotel was full for college drop offs so there was no other room available. The clerk had housekeeping go in the following day to try to disinfect and deodorize but it did not work. The carpet was old and stained. The vending machine was dirty inside. The building is an old beautiful building but it needs a serious renovation and to be thoroughly cleaned in the meantime.

The bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel. All the corners and crevices in the bathroom were emaculate. The bed and pillows were wonderful as well. It was a last minute trip and I was worried it wouldn't be a pleasant stay. I was wrong...great place

As a man I raised the toilet seat to use the bathroom and there was blood on the rim of toilet and on the under part of the seat as well as dried up urine.

The hotel room was clean, and tidy. Bathroom was spotless. There wasnt a store to buy snacks just a vending machine. Could not find a convenient store in or near location, which was odd. At the time, there were no bottled water in the vending machine, however, the hotel provided ice water in the lobby.

Hotel rooms smell like bad body odor. Talked to other guest to make sure it wasn’t just our room. They all smell that way. AC unit is disgustingly dirty and looked like mold was growing inside it. Windows hadn’t been cleaned in ages and could barely see outside.

When I opened the window blinds there were a lot of dead flies on the windowsill; all of the windows had them. it was kind of gross to see that to be honest.

Huge room, full kitchen with dishes and utensils. I loved all the windows in the room and the shutters. Parking was safe and convenient. The lobby was a nice place to sit and relax. The building used to be a medial office building built in 1926. I like places with interesting history.

This is a sweet little hotel with some charm. Only downside is it is very close to the street so it’s a bit noisy. Other than than it was a comfortable bed with a great shower with great water pressure.

Parkview is conveniently located and the rooms are spacious & comfortable. The morning breakfast is nice, there’s an abundant selection and everything tasted delicious.

The TV remote didn’t work, and the TV was really small for the space on the wall. The front desk person said that WE had to reprogram the remote, which we did but it still didn’t work. Crazy loud people in the middle of the night, 3:30am, either in the hallway or out the window. Breakfast was pretty sad

Great value, spacious rooms, friendly staff, fantastic shower water pressure, comfortable beds, clean, pet friendly.

Terrible mattreses, small ans stairs reception

A nice urban hotel built in the 1920's. The hotel is well maintained, and much of the original style has been kept. There are beautiful Art Deco elevators. The room was renovated to modern standards, retaining the original ambience. Free parking behind the building. The HVAC was quieter than found in run-of-the-mill chain hotels. When reserving I did ask for a room not on the street side of the building to reduce street noise, but that request was not accommodated.

Great local hotel. Only complaint is that the mattresses are pretty low quality and uncomfortable.

The staff at The Parkview were amazing. From random conversations with the cleaning staff to Spencer at the front desk giving me tips on places to check out, my stay was wonderful. I was moving my child into Syracuse University, but I also had to work from the room each morning. The desk was perfect and the room was quiet and very comfortable. I will absolutely be staying there again when I visit my student! Thank you!

Lady at the front desk was fantastic. People were helpful. The rooms were larger than expected and comfortable. Would come back.

we have always stayed at the Parkview Hotel when going up to Syracuse to visit our daugther who attends college there. Not the best area, but we have always liked the vintage flair of the Parkview Hotel, and our initial stays there went well. The rooms are clean, and we have felt safe staying there. However, our latest stay gave us concerns. We arrived at around 8 pm for check-in, and there was no one at the front desk: just a sign that said "will be right back, sorry for the inconvenience". Ok - no big deal. We hung out in the lobby... but 20 minutes went by, and no one was around! I called the hotel, and sure enough, the front desk rings and rings, and I get a message that tells me that my call is important, but that they are busy assisting other customers.... Then this other guest walks into the lobby from the street, and he is followed by the employee who is working the front desk. She appears surprised to see me there "how did you get in here?" she asks.... I explained that we arrived 20 minutes ago, and that we used the front entrance to come in. She then apologizes profusely for the wait. So yeah, she was hanging out somewhere outside of the hotel, watching the front door for any guests coming in, and missed our little group.... Besides the fact that we had to wait there, this causes me concern about the safety of the guests in the hotel. Anyone could just walk inside the hotel, when the clerks are not at their posts. Very disappointed!

I arrived with a reservation and was told there was no room to stay in. Was asked at checkin if “I booked through Expedia because they were reserving rooms the hotel didn’t have”. Suddenly I had to find a different place to stay at 6pm on a Saturday during a BUSY Syracuse parents weekend.

At check n there system was down and couldn’t check n or pay for the room, they did let me n my room by opening the door for me but I had no room keys so if I left I had to find someone to open my door for me again.

The staff was incredible. So welcoming and warm. Helpful with directions and suggestions. I lost my laptop and they were instrumental in finding it!

We had an exceptional stay. We stayed for two nights. When we first arrived to check in, there had been a glitch leaving us with a reservation, but no room. Desk associate, Ianna went above and beyond, calling sister hotels trying to find us a room. As it turned out, a room was found within the Parkview itself. Our room was on the first floor, not my favorite, but it was late and we just wanted to rest. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. We asked the desk how to adjust the air conditioner and making sure the desk was covered, Ianna came back to the room, got down on the floor and walked us through us how to work the AC, which led to adjusting the TV, as it was not turning on with the remote. After ensuring that the TV was working she told us to just ask if we needed anything. This hotel is quiet, spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and very efficient. Even with more than a few whiny guests, mainly complaining about breakfast, the staff remained friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, replenished regularly ( perhaps not as frequently as those plowing through it like angry cows, would have liked ) and available through the entire time. Those complaining the loudest expected fresh eggs 15 minutes before the end of breakfast hours although there was plenty of pastries, muffins and waffles still available. I do want to add that Ianna is exactly the kind of person a guest needs when traveling. We will definitely be staying at the Parkview again.

Hotel was nice and room was clean. It is in a very busy area though and the neighbor hood sets sketchy fast if you walk around.

The Parkview is a solid, consistent choice for us when we visit Syracuse. It’s clean and comfortable, while close to Syracuse U. and Syracuse Stage. Free breakfast is always a plus.

Air conditioner and bathroom fan were extremely loud! Off street Parking was very convenient. Not much around the hotel and didn't appear safe to walk at night!!! Hotel clean but outdated.

Centrally located near downtown Syracuse. Large room with comfortable bed. Free parking in rear of hotel. Free breakfast was ok, one hot dish, waffles, croissants and bagels, fruits, yogurt, juice and coffee. Surrounding area was good with a few restaurants nearby.

Breakfast was horrible. Advertised to begin at 6:30am but cold eggs didn’t arrive until 7:45am. Poor choices for food. Old apples and rotten bananas.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was incredible.

The property is old but very well kept. It is immaculately clean. The staff is not as friendly as we are used to also they ran out of coffee, orange juice, forks , sausage or bacon at breakfast this am. We were told that having a spoon and knife was sufficient. Then they ran out of spoons. Needless to say breakfast was not good and the entire dining room was talking about it.

Older but ok facility, only one working elevator is problematic, but the absolutely worse breakfast experience you could imagine. If you weren't one of the earliest diners, you wouldn't get fed. They even ran out of forks and spoons for a whole day because they were waiting on a delivery.

Tired of staying in the chains? Want to try something different. The Parkview is old school and very nice. If it is important to the traveler, please note there is no breakfast. There is coffee.

Room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast in the morning was far better than I was expecting. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Reception door locked at 8pm arrival. Staff was not present, nor available by phone. Fortunately, after 5 minutes, we were able to gain attention from a guest who opened the locked door and got us in out of the rain. Rooms are spacious, not terribly well cleaned (detritus on the rigs and bed frames). Location okay, breakfast positively dreadful.

Staff that greeted us in the evening was great. Morning staff was distracted. Coffee was weak and set up away from toast etc. Food offerings were decent but the setup needs to be improved. Nice breakfast space but needs some oomph to make it feel more welcoming. You’re welcome.

Spacious rooms. Convenient location. Great breakfast...a welcome contrast with the powdered eggs served at most hotel free breakfasts. Super friendly staff.
