Treadmill in the gym didn't work. Advertised as having airport shuttle, but they did not. Lights in the room were on motion sensors so kept turning off when we didn't want them to.

The staff was very polite, the property was very clean, but the material condition was not what I expected from an IHG hotel. For example: The driveway in had several large, deep potholes. Room table was very wobbly. Fridge in room was very loud (had to turn it off to sleep). Door lock had trouble reading card. Screen on gym treadmill was flickering on and off (mostly off) to the point it was unusable. I would say these aren't staff issues, these are "corporate not wanting to spend money" issues. It was OK for a room to collapse in after a long day of travel, but I wouldn't stay there with my family unless the other hotels were all full.

Extremely disappointed with Expedia for this hotel. It was advertised as having parking and an airport shuttle which was why we booked it. Only to arrive and have the hotel tell us they no longer offer a shuttle and that we could not park here longer than our stay.

We checked in late and our room had been smoked in. We requested a room change and were told the hotel was full no other rooms available. Additionally they advertised a free airport shuttle and we were told to call 24 hours in advance of our arrival to reserve it. When we called and tried to reserve the shuttle for our 12:30 am airport arrival we were told the shuttle stopped running at midnight. It was too late to cancel our reservation to get a refund of our prepaid room charge. They should post the shuttle hours of operation. Their neighboring competitor operates its shuttle until 4am.

The staff was rude and incompetent. The hotel didn't have a shuttle even though it advertised that they did.The desk clerk told us to walk with our luggage and disabled mom to Holiday Inn and try to use their shuttle or take an Uber. Upon entering the hotel the clerk was sound asleep at the desk. No hot water in our room. The common areas were dirty. The hair dryer wasn't working.

Was disappointed that there were 3 people at the desk and I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me. Man in front of me paid cash and they didn’t have change. No pop no chips no ice. My keys didn’t work so they gave me a different room. My door didn’t close right so I had to slam it to close. The cart for luggage was broken. Parking lot was a mess. Dog poop piles on sidewalk. The girl that helped me wasn’t very personable. The door didn’t lock to outside so anyone could have walked in at night. The stairway hall smelled of garbage. The bed was comfortable. No dishes in cupboards all in dishwasher clean I think. Overall my room allowed me to sleep at night but will NEVER go there again.

I would never stay at this hotel again, and I would never recommend it to anybody. I have never stayed in a hotel that was as dirty, and obviously had not been cleaned in quite a while. We could barely get into the room because the door was slightly off the hinges. There were no dishes in the cupboards, other than one cup and one plate. They had pots and pans in a drawer that looked like they had never been washed the TV remote did not work, the furniture was old and the leather chair was so worn that it was flaking off. I’m not sure I would stay in another candlewood suites again.

The room was so rundown and dirty. Mold in the shower. Never cleaned under the sink. It smelled funky. The smallest TV if seen in a hotel since the 80s. Out of parking every night. I cannot believe this is an IHG property.

I would advise to not stay here. The rooms are dirty and smell of cigarette smoke. Shower and sink both were covered in mold, I also found hair on the kitchen counter top and bed. If I wasn’t beyond exhausted from driving from Maine I would have done better research of this place. If you had the choice of sleeping in this hotel or your car, choose your car.

The lobby was nice. First room we entered into had such a terrible scent of food and dirt. The toilet when flushed the water was rising and then it couldn't flush. After speaking with reservation we were moved to a room on the first floor. OMG the scent and smell of the room again smelt badly. At that point we were there for graduation and could find another hotel. We went to target and purchase Lysol, Clorox wipes and disinfectant and clean the room in order for us to spend 2 nights. For sure the rooms need better fans etc. Each time we walked into that room the scent was horrendous. Now for the bed we found other human hairs which told us the sheets was not changed. We also had to get extra sheets to change it ourselves. We do have pictures of everything. The floors was sticky and can see the dirt on our socks. The sink in the bathroom was fitly, also have pic of the dirt that came out of it (gross) In order to not be in that room for too long we stayed out later than usual and only slept at night. Yes I understand that this is a new ownership and it would take time to renovate but try walking into those rooms and see if you as a human appreciate the stench and dirt. IHG is known for high standards and I had those expectations but this was the worse. Mind you this is my second time staying at this hotel. I gave it a second try and hope that the renovations was done but the experience did not improve. For all of this reasons I would not recommend any human to stay

Room was infested with cockroaches; noticed when turned off all but one light for bed/ had to check out at 1 am and stay elsewhere. Went to front desk to complain and employee was aware that the room and the adjacent room were infested and should not have been rented. We asked to be refunded ; we were not. We checked in @ 9pm and left @1am. We took pictures, there was food behind furniture; blood stains on carpet. Thankfully we did not use any linens. Disgusting. We paid 130/ didn’t expect the best room, but expected a clean room. Door didn’t close all the way, there were bugs in the bathroom, was a suite with kitchenette, also had cockroaches and spiders. TV didn’t work, just a horrible experience. Would never recommend. Feel as though this room is a rent by the hour room

The entire hotel badly needed paint and a good cleaning. It smelled like urine. We feel we are entitled to a refund. This was a stay of convenience for proximity to the airport for an early flight. The property is very worn and in desperate need to be updated. The parking is shared with another hotel and tucked behind a storage facility, easy to miss. Initial room 226 (and respectively 326, etc.) should be avoided, as they are facing the busy street and are directly behind the elevator - ended up switching rooms to get some sleep.

Great staff and very clean and quiet. My only caveat was the internet kept going in and out. I would easily recommend staying here. I’m a traveling nurse and I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Very dated, room was loud with the heater and refrigerator. Every time I turned over in bed, the motion sensor on the light in the kitchen went off. All.night.long. I was staying there for an early morning flight at the airport. Finally I just got up and went to the airport.

Personally I don’t like that there is no coffee pots in the room. I don’t want to have to get dress and go downstairs to get coffee. Especially. When your on the 3 or 4 th floor having to wait for the one elevator. Put the coffee pots back !

It was the most terrible experience. Having a reservation, I was turned away by a nasty staff member who didn't even apologize for the situation, but was raising her voice when talking to me. I believe the reason for the lack of available rooms was that their housekeeping staff didn't clean the rooms. And they turned away people with reservations 2 nights in a row. It's just better to close this hotel and not confuse people.

When I arrived at the hotel nobody was at the front desk. Finally after 10 minutes someone comes I get my key, go to my room and the room is gross. There is a pile of towels in the middle of the floor and trash. I also heard someone in the bathroom. Someone was already in the room. When I go back downstairs nobody is at the desk. I waited for almost 30 mins. I left and went to holiday inn to get a room. I ended up spending an additional $154.19. The following morning I went back to candlewood to tell what happened & to return the key to prove I had originally got a room there. I was told I would receive a refund I have yet to hear anything. The experience was unprofessional and gross.

The room was comfortable enough. I booked this hotel because they stated a shuttle to the airport was provided. They DO NOT have a shuttle. The most horrendous issue is that they charged my room even though they had paid through Hotels.com. They were also not willing to issue a refund. Only Stay here if you want to pay twice.

Where do I begin. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Someone had wrapped a towel around the smoke detector in our room, I went to call the front desk & the phone didn’t work so went right back downstairs with a picture, they didn’t care and said it was like that in several rooms.. no sooner did I return to my room where my husband had just been walked in on by 2 other guests who were given the same room and room keys, almost immediately following our check in. Then the shuttle in the morning was okay, except they overbooked it so there wasn’t enough seats for the people they’d given the time slot for. I stay in both the candle wood suites on Fort Drum constantly and they are beautiful, what a shame this one is a dive. We won’t be back.

Easy to access (behind the Holiday Inn Express). Lots of parking. I arrived late and left to catch and early morning flight. There is no shuttle to the airport, so note that Uber costs $15-$20 for the 5-minute ride, and my ride scheduled for 5:10 am didn't show. Toilet was not re-filling, but it was too late to do anything about it. Other than that the room served its purpose and I slept pretty well.

This was a very convenient place for our vacation. There were basic dining options right across the street, and many more within a short drive. The room was a bit worn, but it was clean and everything worked. the staff was very helpful.

Currently getting renovated... There were bare electrical wires sticking out of the wall in my bathroom and the faucet wasn't really secured to the sink. I get that they're renovating, but it seems like they might have been able to do something better here. We arrived late and only stayed one night, so I didn't bother complaining to the desk people but she seemed nice.

The hotel is in the middle of a remodel. Many of the small kitchen items are not there yet. The staff was able to give us a set of dishes for two when we asked. They are also waiting on replacement items (like refrigerators) to arrive. The current fridge was roomy, but the ice maker did not work. The microwave and dishwasher worked fine.
