Bilmar Beach Resort

The rooms looked recently remodeled and they did a good job. Nice amenities: bike rental, on site restaurant, two pools ( one by beach which was very busy but the one in the front was quiet and nice where you could actually get in some laps).

i like that the bikes, chairs and umbrella were free. I also like the ping pong table and pool tables along with other games. I like that you have options to eat on premises.

Hotel is still being renovated from the hurricane. The elevator went out several times while we were there and the air conditioning went out in our room. Parking is still not all available due to renovations. We had to park a block or two away at one point due to no parking at the hotel. The check-in staff is very friendly. We had to check in at sloppy joes. They need more umbrellas at the pool area. I think there were only 4 umbrellas in the pool area. I believe the hotel will be great when the renovations are complete. Until the renovations are complete, some of the amenity should be waived since they were not available. There were a lot of areas still blocked off and not usable. On a positive note, the sidewalk that runs behind the hotel on the beachside is really nice.

Old school, but being renovated. Nice room over-looking gulf, but also pool with lots of kids. Gym non- existing when asked where it was (-apparently still under renovation). Top reviews for staff at the restaurant/ bar!!!! They made the stay enjoyable

The property is still under repair from the Oct. 2024 hurricane damage. The pool, fitness center and lobby were still closed.

The hotel was on the beach with beach chairs available to use for free. That was a perk since we flew in and were able to bring our own. Beach was clean and not crowded. Property is still being renovated from hurricane damage but was still a great place to stay. Washers and dryers were also available. Sloppy Joes restaurant that is attached to the hotel had a great menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We did like the access to the beach, chair and towel usage, water bottles, and nice laundry room. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a quiet place. Construction could not be helped, but cleaning carts rolling by our room was loud early in the morning. Our door was not sealed well, so we heard everything and did not get great sleep.

The elevator near our room was out of order, the fitness area is still under construction as well as the other restaurant (since the hurricane) and so was the ice machine on our floor, the pools were said to be heated, but were still too cold for me. I wish the hours of the pool/hot tub area were earlier than 9am and later than 10pm so I could have tried to enjoy the hot tub while there since it is swim at your own risk (no lifeguard on duty anyway) I really wish I could have done that before checking out. The rooms for price were really just okay- you are paying more for the location of the property and the beach access. The staff was very friendly. Our blow dryer needed to be replaced it was sparking when we tried to use it, we called and got a replacement that worked fine.

Great location. Lots of amenities that they are working out from some hurricane damage. Great for kids

Pros: -Excellent location, right on the beach -Friendly, helpful staff -Good, in-house restaurant and bar -Free parking (rarity around this area) Cons: -It is an older hotel, some of the fit and finish is noticeable. -The water pressure in the shower is poor, although the sink is fine. -TV had a vertical line running down the middle of it. Other: -Some of the amenities are not open, despite showing on the website (2nd pool, lobby, workout area, hot tub, etc...) This is due to the hurricane damage. If this matters, I would check to see if they are open. Summary: -We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff is great and there is no better spot on Treasure Island. It is close to everything and a small drive to others. Just a few tweaks and this place would be top of the heap. 100% would stay again.

The room was clean and refreshing. Located right in the Gulf. Two nice swimming pools and a great restaurant.

Staff was very nice. The location was perfect. The room wasn’t the best. It smelled old like mold. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced and the fan in the a/c unit rattled all night making it hard to sleep. 💤 A

I found roaches in the room. The first day I spilled coffee on the bath sink and it was never cleaned during the week. The structure was being fixed and it needs too but it was not mentioned at time of booking

The Bilma hotel was a nice experience, very pleasant staff , nice location with many food options near. Only complains are the hotel needs too undergo some renovations like some more shower areas, outside to rinse off sand. Also the rooms were a little dirty especially the carpet needs to be cleaned very well as it was the dirtiest in the room Overall nice ambiance.

Super cute and super clean. The property is definitely dated but they are working on it now so that is a plus. The area in the back with music and chairs and access to the beCh was really nice. I would stay here again.

The positive is the beach and location for that which was a main reason for selecting. But the property itself is in very worn condition, from the elevators to the appearance and definitely the rooms. Very smelly from ridiculously old and filthy carpet, floors that were not carpet were dirty and the cabinets inside and out dirty- the bathroom from the floors to sink and tub shower combo were dirty and barely functioning. In fact the tub would take hours to drain the water out and all kinds of nasty stuff came up the drain. Would never recommend.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Great view of the gulf.

Everyone at Bilmar is so friendly and welcoming! The resort experienced storm damage last year, and they are working to restore the property, so at first glance it appears a little rough. The room was clean, as were the pools and hot tub. Every one at the property is working hard to make our stay comfortable and happy. Will certainly be going back!

Housekeeping not doing a good job cleaning the room. Everything it’s old in the hotel standing water in the balcony dripping water from the ceiling

Quaint, clean rooms; kitchenette was nice to have; balconies facing the ocean was awesome!! Great access to beach/pool, great location. Cons: limited parking, breakfast not included. Shower not very hot. Noisy concert across the street the first night of our stay penetrated our room til 11 p.m. Good place to stay for a certain crowd: younger, hipper, maybe.

Loved that the hotel is right on the beach with easy access for hotel guests! I wish I researched more and read a review that talked about the noise from Ricky T’s, the restaurant across the street. Each night of the weekend we were there they had live music or karaoke that went on until midnight. The restaurant on site, sloppy joes, was not great. Not really worth the money…if you can drive somewhere else you will have much better options! The rooms were pretty decent. Comfortable beds and nice beach view from the room.

We like the view and the walk to the beach. The fan in our room was noisy and door has a gap at the bottom that lets you hear all the noise from outside.

Well I can't speak for the entirety of the property, the rooms that I had reserved were pretty damned awesome. Hard to beat a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Sloppy joes on the beach, the restaurant attached to the hotel, is very good for what it is. I'll be going back just to spend an occasional weekend.

Great stay! Room was updated and nice. Balcony was great to sit out on. Ours overlooked the pool. Beds were comfortable. Very convenient with the restaurant attached. Check in was good. One person who was trying to take several calls and check us in but we were early and lucky a room was ready. Came down later and the lobby was packed but there were several people to check them in at that point. Pool looked nice but we didn’t go. You can check out chairs and towels for the beach for free.They are the backpack kind you have to carry with you. I did see a company with chairs and umbrellas you could probably rent from if don’t want to carry anything. Bikes you could ride down the boardwalk. Our favorite part was probably the view, the quietness (we went on a Friday and I think school was starting Monday so most tourists may have been gone), and the restaurant for drinks.

Nice hotel with easy access to the beach. The building is old but rooms have been renovated. There's a restaurant on the first floor which is super convenient for breakfast (not included, separate pay). Parking is free. Beds are comfy but was not a fan of pillows.

I would not have gone there if I would have known they were renovation going on. The elevator broke down and I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. I have trouble with my leg, which makes it hard to walk. I really had a hard time doing that.The air conditioner leaked in my room wetting the carpet. Orher than all that, the people who worked there were very nice and helpful.

I wish they offered paper towel or napkins in the kitchen.

Viola at the front desk did an excellent job moving us to a new room when we had concerns about the air conditioning I and the noise from Sloppy Joes and being too close to the elevator. We really appreciated her effort in making our stay more enjoy We are looking forward to our next stay in a higher floor

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I think their restaurant was having staffing issues however. The front desk service was phenomenal.

The staff at fromt desk could have ben a little more pleasant , the lady with the glasses is not so welcoming , i asked her if she can hold my balloons to set up the room for our 50th birthday celebration and she's like I don't have anywhere to put them but then all the sudden she said she could put them in the office that just wasn't very nice when I called previously ahead of time and they said they were set up them in the room for me... also asked for a later check out and they said no, i also asked for early check in and they said no .wasnt ready ....i loved thenarea ,but need a friendlier staff at front desk ....our room was nice .i woukd of prefereed a room not all the way in tje corner next to a wall blocking the view ...

Property was great but they need to resolve their timing. Watched almost all customers arrive and rooms were not ready after 4:00 pm.

All the employees of this facility were above and beyond. Very accommodating very professional. Sloppy Joe’s was a wonderful place to eat, and the waitresses were amazing. We would definitely come back.

Everything at the Bilmar was AMAZING!!! We were vacationing from Illinois & my daughter was turning 10 while we were at the resort, Heather, the evening manager, decorated our room for us so when we arrived my daughter was so surprised! She even got her a little cake! The resort itself is beautiful and there is so much to do right there! We are definitely going back!!!

We arrived 1hr 1/2 early and had to wait until 4pm Check in. Room clean. Renovations are happening but overall our stay was great!

The staff was so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. It was great having free access to beach chairs and beach towels and bike access too. There was construction going on but it didn’t bother our stay at all.

This was my 1st time staying in Treasure Island, and the Bilmar was a great resort. The location was great for nightlife and was close to John's Pass for shopping. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view. The staff was super helpful and let us check in early and check out late for no additional cost. I would definitely stay here again.

Its not fancy but location is perfect for beach access. I could walk to Publix, Walgreens some gift shops and several other restaurants. We had a gulf view on the 5th floor also overlooking one of the pools and Sloppy Joes. We could listen to the band and watch the sunsets, which were absolutely gorgeous! Room was clean. We had a great time

We loved the area. It is very easy walking for dining or shopping, many choices. The beach was beautiful.

For a property that’s still trying to recover from the Hurricane, I have no complaints. My 3rd time staying here, I will continue to support them. The location is great, almost anything is walkable.

Good place but their Waves beachside bar restaurant was closed both Driday and Saturday for weddings . That kinda was a bummer .

Staying at the Bilmar was pretty great - location was awesome right on the beach, and rooms were clean and pleasant. I wasn't sure what to expect since I booked online, but I went in with relatively low expectations, and was exceptionally surprised. Lots of little extras that aren't necessarily highly publicized, like bottled water, beach chairs, and bicycles available for use. Also a pool table, indoor ping pong, outdoor ping pong, a beach volleyball court, fire pit tables and lots more. Front desk staff was super friendly. There's a restaurant on the property called Sloppy Joe's that was really quite good. I am used to hotel restaurants being mediocre and way overpriced, but the food was really good and the prices weren't all that bad. We planned to eat at area restaurants more than we did, but found ourselves at Sloppy Joe's again and again instead. The breakfast there is really really good - highly recommended! There was one night at the restaurant it was very busy and the lady at the greeting counter was maybe a bit grouchy, but that was the only person we encountered that was not super friendly. The only negatives I have are: 1) the walls may have been a bit thin - one night the room next door was having a bit of a party, and it was a bit loud, but hey, its a resort with lots of people having a great time; 2) the towel counter closed at 5:00pm which seemed a little early; 3) coffee was available in the am, but tea was not. A great stay overall!

Still in Hurricane recovery, not alot to do in the area. Rooms were okay with comfy beds but the bathroom was very out dated. Restaurant food (breakfast) had a very limited menu and no option to bill to the room.

I liked that it was on the beach and easy access. To much noise in the morning with construction happening in the building. They can do better with the restaurant, food wasn’t that good and My wife got sick the last day we ate there, it was something she ate from the restaurant Sloppy Joe’s. The room was clean and nice and the best part was close to beach.

The outside of property was dirty. Broken chairs and old pool towels laying around for days. The bar across the street was very loud till after 11 pm. Good food, drinks, and service at Sloppy joes.

Wonderful stay. Everything was great. We were right on the beach which was beautiful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Our room was comfy and clean. Sloppy Joes is right in the hotel. The food and entertainment were both excellent.

I don’t want to be to hard on the business because the were hit pretty hard by the hurricanes last year. Property is going through renovations. Staff were nice, but it was noisy. Elevators are very small could barely fit myself with the small baggage cart. The location with the large sidewalk and beach are beautiful, it did help you forget about the renovations. sloppy joes food was horrible, not very clean and they were out of many food items. I would recommmend going down to Shrimpy’s on the water it was delicious!

We were there for 2 nights and our room was not made up or cleaned. The closet doors were off the track. The restaurant attached to the resort had terrible service, took 35 minutes to get even our drinks served. Food was served cold in several cases. The gentleman who managed the beach chairs and umbrellas was awesome!
