We had a wonderful time. Close to the water with lots to do within walking distance. The pool was nice and we enjoyed our time relaxing after a busy day enjoying Charleston. The staff were really nice and the breakfast chef was very sweet.

Our family of 4 home based at this hotel and we were pleased. It was out of town price with highway convenience. Breakfast was great, staff was overall fantastic, beds were moderately comfortable, and it was a good value. We did not try the pool. It was nice to have laundry on site on each floor.

The location was very good at Patriots Pointe. We were able to walk to the USS Yorktown exhibit and the tour ferry for Fort Sumter. The room was comfortable. We were able to get clean towels and refills on supplies instead of having our room made up. Breakfast was yummy. Hot fresh items included biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and grits along with the usual continental items. We had an issue with the laundry. After receiving directions and quarters for washing clothes, we found the dryers did not work. So we were stuck with a load of wet clothes. The next day the problem had not been resolved and we needed to ask the mamagement to at least post a sign so that other guests did not have the same frustrating experience. The machines had apparent rusty areas so maybe they should be replaced. The laundry did not meet our expectations, but otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.

Check-in was quick. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold foods with a spacious eating area. Room was spacious. Shower and mattress were very nice. Pool towels is a nice amenity for a hotel at this price. I would have hoped for a slightly warmer pool temperature. Always confused why some hotels have trees around a pool that drop small nuts that are very painful when stepped on. Wish they had recycling. The overall stay was great.

The room itself was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice. Pool was small but tidy. Front desk wasn't pleasant even once, and I wrote in my reservation that it was my birthday trip and requested a room away from the elevator. We were placed right across from the elevator. Didn't love that they didn't even try to accommodate me with that. A gaggle of young girls were loud outside our door at 1 am our last night before our 6-hour drive home the next day.

Do not stay here. Karinne, Carinne, or Kareen, whatever her name was, is blatantly rude and doesnt care. She rushed my mother through the credit card macine with hateful 'sign here, tap that, ect' without giving mom a chance to read. We shouldve left then but thought she may be having a bad day. Nope. Two days in, we found our room had been cleaned, but no towels or toilet tissue had been left for us. I called down front. After multiple rings, the phone was cut off. I called back and Carinne answered. When I told her we had no towels or toilet paper she said 'the rooms arent cleaned everyday'. I replied that I knew that but it had been cleaned that day, they just hadnt left towels or TP. Well, you can come to the front desk and get it, she said. 'I replied that I was up for knee surgery and was not able and my mom is 74 years old.' Carinne said 'Well, I cant leave the desk, theres no one else here.' First off, you run a hotel with one employees? Mom ended up going to get towels and TP. THE TOWEL WE RECEIVED WAS FILTHY. I hope I can add pictures. We called Customer support but nothing came of it. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The woman who was at the front desk for the majority of my stay was dismissive each time I spoke with her. The most important time I needed assistance was to ask why there were bugs in my room. She said that the hotel has been known to have “Palmetto bugs” but did not offer to do anything about it. Then breakfast staff and room attendants were professional and attentive. The room, itself, was poorly constructed. My floor was uneven. There was a downward slant so deep that you almost had to take a step down as you neared the window. The drawers on that side of the room would continuously slide open because of the imbalance in the floor’s foundation. If you want a nice room and no bugs in it, I really would just find another place to stay.

This was a great choice to stay and explore Charleston. The main areas ro visit are just over the bridge. We did easy ubering to the restaurants and tours. The room was clean and had everything we needed - frig, microwave, coffee. The beds were comfortable.

We were granted late check out( 12 noon). They day of the check out, we informed housekeeping that we will check out at 12 as advised by front desk during check in. We went out to grab some stuff and left my mom in the hotel because she had trouble walking. A “supervisor” came knocking at 11 informing my elderly mom that she needs to be out. My mom told him that we were granted late check out but he insisted that they don’t allow late check outs. She was told that she has to be out of the room in 30 minutes, my mom who had to gather all our stuff, all by herself and bring everything out to the lobby where she waited for us. Shame, shame, shame! Very unapologetic and plain rude! I would’ve been ok with the dated rooms and musky smell because of the proximity and the price but the attitude Jonas gave was just unacceptable. And yes, I had to mention your name because you were unapologetic all the way! I do hope you learn something from this and probably get some training or better yet find another job that you’ll love.

My family and I stayed one night here and it was decent, however I personally would not stay here again. At check in, the receptionist was not friendly at all. Her attitude was like I was bothering her by checking in. She acted like she could care less about customers and that she couldn't wait to get off work. Second, the hotel is very old and dated. From the moment you enter the building, it gives off a dreadful feeling. Everything looked original like it had been there since the hotel first opened. The carpet on the stairs to the 2nd floor where they served breakfast was dingy and dirty, although vacuumed well. We stayed on the third floor and as you walk down the hall, its very dark. The 90s yellowish walls and the brown carpet made it feel creepy like we was on the movie set of "The Shining." The room itself was very clean, so I greatly appreciated that, however the furnishings were old and tired. Again, the color scheme was various shades of brown: carpet, couch, furniture, desk lamp, granite in bathroom. Also, the bathroom was very small. The door just misses hitting the toilet. The ironing board was junk, including the ironing board cover. It wouldn’t stay up, but kept falling down with the slightest pressure. Cons: The hotel is really dated and has a depressing atmosphere due to the lack of lighting its 90s yellow/brown furnishings. The breakfast was barely decent. Pros: The location was good (near a golf course), quiet, really clean, nice size room for the cost.

We had never been to Charleston. This hotel in Mount Pleasant was a perfect location to everything. 10 minutes to downtown and Sullivan Island Beach. We walked to dinner at Shem’s Creek. We also walked to the USS Yorktown. There is great park under the Ravenel bridge you could walk to also.
