Even though the hotel was nice, our car was broken into and some things were stolen. Our car was not the only one. The front desk just told us it was so unfortunate and to call the police or whatever we wanted to do about it. The hotel did not have any security available.

I was happy with the Hampton Inn. The front desk was helpful and friendly - but when I arrived there was just one person on the desk, with a line of customers waiting to check in. After a bit a second desk person arrived, who I think had been on break. The common areas and my room were clean and well maintained. My room was clean and comfortable, athough with a bit of spartan aesthetic. I didn\'t get around the neighboring area much. There are some impressive looking buildings nearby, but also scruffier streets as you head away from the river. The included breakfast was quite good with a reasonable number of food choices. Parking was included in the room rate - in an "overflow" lot on the neighboring property. It was a little difficult maneuvering in the lot, and it wasn\'t clear how to get out again (I had to hit the intercom for help). There were "you\'re at your own risk" signs posted, leading me to wonder if there were a history of lot security problems.

Overall, this hotel was not very clean and overall run down. Has booked a room with 2 queens and a sofa-bed to accommodate our family of 5. Sofa mattress had what appeared to be a urine stain. My husband politely reported this to the night manager and he apologized but offered nothing further. The breakfast area was also lacking in cleanliness - dirty tables and floors.

I like the property and it’s at the edge of the cultural district so very walkable, 1 block from the river walk, museums, Fort Duquesne, and the hall parks. Unfortunately the room appeared to have been cleaned; flooded towels etc. but bed was dirty with grass and other debris between the sheets, beard trimmings in the sink and long hair in the tub and on the floor. When I reported this it was clear that this want the first time for this room/floor.

I would have given the Hampton Inn five stars, except for housekeeping. Checking in we asked about daily service and they said just let us know, so we said we'd like it every day. The first day our towels were replaced and garbage emptied. Then nothing, in spite to stopping by the desk and reminding them we wanted service. When we called down and asked for fresh towels, the guy who delivered them brought only two and complained about having to do that. My husband asked him for two more towels and he said OK and never came back. The next day we asked again and again no service. (I tip $5 a day to housekeeping, so I don't think it's because we don't tip.) The next day there were two housekeepers working on our floor and I asked one if our room was on her list. She said she "don't do those rooms." I asked the second, who didn't speak English, and she said no. So I went down to the front desk. Then we got two deliveries of towels. Our wastebaskets were emptied only once our entire stay and they do not offer recycling. Aside from that, it's a great hotel, large comfortable room, great location and the staff is friendly, even if they don't follow through. We enjoyed the breakfasts, but wished for bacon every day instead of sausages.

We have stayed at this hotel many times but last being over a year ago and I was disappointed at how the cleanliness declined..linens and sheets were dingy, bed mattress was not comfortable at all and the towels had hair from other s stuck in it. I requested our room be cleaned on the 3rd day but it was never done. Staff remained mostly friendly but again I was disappointed at the decline of this hotel.

Good hotel, everything is looks nice and clean, room big, bed comfortable. Two notice i would like to share: 1. Noise from nearby road is too loud, make almost impossible to sleep 2. No drinking water provided in the room, if you wish to drink must buy it in lobby.

We got a corner room on the 6th floor with views of the river and city, with 4 large windows! The king bed room was enormous and even had a couch, wet bar area and foyer. The location was perfect for our night out to celebrate a friend's BD who lives in Pittsburgh.

Expensive for the condition of the room. Wallpaper was peeling, bed wasn't that comfy, only two pillows were on the bed, light way weird. Great view from our room. Location is great.

Check in was a disaster at the beginning. Drove 6 hours to get there walked in lobby, about 10 unhappy people in line then was advised there was a system wide network error, could not check anyone in. After 20 minutes they went old school doing paper check ins as it appeared their IT dept was clueless and the 2 staff members clearly upset but were doing their best to remain calm, cool & collective and professional. After about 45 minutes The systems came up snd check ins moved faster. Kudos to the staff members, boo to the tech support team!!! Check out the next morning and they were still having networking issues. Other than that, rooms were clean, breakfast was normal, staff was friendly. I would stay again.

Holly at the front desk was efficient and helpful, but more importantly treated everyone like a vip! She is a delight and made me feel like home. The space was beautiful and secure. I’m never staying anywhere else in Pittsburgh!

It wasn’t bad until our last night. The fire alarm went off for hours and no one told us what was going on. We had to keep going to the front looking for someone and calling the front desk to be told it was a ‘false alarm,’ that went on for hours late at night.

My stay here was AMAZING, 5 ☆☆☆☆☆! From the greeting I received as I entered, straight through to my check out, the ENTIRE staff was EXCELLENT. What really stood out was how SINCERE & RESPONSIVE staff was, from making sure I needed anything, offering suggestions on what to see when in Pittsburgh, providing extra towels per my request, the room cleaning, replenishing/upkeeping beverage station in lobby, all was GREAT! ...and done with sense of urgency & warm hospitality! It made the experience seem as if I was in a family owned Bed & Breakfast. Thanks again to ALL the staff!

We had an overall great stay- nice hotel with a nice breakfast, large rooms, and free EASY parking (that's a big deal in Pittsburgh). However, one of the breakfast attendants was incredibly rude. She made a snide comment to me and then proceeded to go in the back room, with the door open (!), and talk about me more! I was shocked by it as everyone else was sooo nice and the rest of the breakfast attendants were on point. It was just a blip on an otherwise good stay and trip (maybe she was just having a bad day!), but it did leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

A great place for staying in downtown Pittsburgh! So many dining options within walking distance. Parking was easy, too. The only issue was when we lost power for a few hours—we never heard from the hotel about the issue—had to reach out ourselves and find out when it was back on. Luckily, we were not in the elevator and were able to leave the hotel for other reasons during this time. Communication was not great.

5 stars. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly. The parking was free and so was breakfast! The hotel is located near the convention center and you can walk several blocks to get to The Terminal, an area with restaurants, breweries, and putt putt golf. We felt safe walking through the neighborhood. The other destinations we were seeing in Pittsburgh were close to the hotel.

The hotel staff was friendly. I was grateful for guest parking prior to check in. The room and environment was clean. The room rate was overpriced at $450 for one night. The breakfast buffet was not the best selection. The eggs had no flavor. The bananas were overripe.

We really enjoyed our stay! We picked this hotel because it was one of the few (if not only) hotels that had free self parking in downtown area, had a hot tub and pool, and free breakfast. This place ticked all the boxes. Breakfast was amazing and had a lot of variety, the hot tub was very hot, and the parking lot is gated for hotel guests and safe. It's very close to the Heinz museum and a short walk to lots of restaurants and bars on the Strip. Our room was clean and very big. We liked the soap, conditioner, and shampoo provided (the big bottles!) and clean towels. Our room also had a vanity and mirror outside of the bathroom, so it was great for me to get ready. Staff at the front were polite and helpful. I also liked that the check out time is at 12, so gave us plenty of time to get ready before a wedding. Breakfast also ended later at 10 so we got to sleep in a bit. We went around 9:30 and there was still a lot of food left and they refilled a lot of food. Only complaint is that our bed was a bit soft.

I didnt like the fact our room was next to kids, at 8:30 we get a call turn your music down, and it was our tv, also the fridge dosnt get cold enough to keep food at a safe temp.. we got ruth chris food and had to throw most out... We came to get away from crying noisy kids and fine dine.., also the bacon in the buffet is cold and half cooked.. Next yr prob will go a diff route.. Thank you
