It was economical. The room was clean and comfortable. The little interaction I had with the cleaning staff was very good. The front desk was average. The breakfast was average. The outdoor pool was not of use. It was closed. The water in the pool looked green. It would have been nice to sit on the pool deck and possibly get in the water, none of this was available.

Staff at reception upon arrival not nice at all. The swimming pool water looked terrible: green and not clear at all: so all people took pictures but nobody used it... It was cleaned on day 2, but that didn't change anything. Air con a bit noisy. Room OK

This property the pictures must’ve been taken a very long time ago. We picked it for the beautiful pool, which was not open and dirty and nothing around it not even the chairs looked the same as the pic we came to this location for the pool. It’s a 12 o’clock check out on Expedia. It’s 11 when we came to the room we couldn’t get in the door because it was bent and broken. Someone tried to get in. It opens from the outside, which they don’t show in the pictures so is unsafe for women. The coffee pot did not work. I had come three hours away for an appointment. Then we proceeded to find out the toilet would not flush. The bathtub would not drain. The shower curtain was way too short for the shower so when you took a shower, you flooded the entire floor and it was coming out into the main area.! Never again Expedia should give me a refund. They should not be advertising this property like they do.

Property seems to be in disrepair in general. Pool was closed, was told it was a recent filter issue, but the pool was solid green with algae. Although we did not have issues, we were warned about power outages. I woke up with bug bites but was not outside and it could only have happened overnight.

I am not happy and I would like at least a partial refund. The pool was not in use because it was lime green. There was mold on the ceiling, and an old hair tie on the floor.

We have stayed with Best Western more than 50 times and never had any issues or complaints amazing experience, until this week rooms were outdated, no towels or room service ( for cleaning and restocking ) then to make things worse the pool was only open 2 days out of seven and the vending machines didn’t work.

This was a wonderful place for a stay for a night. It was extremely noisy surrounding the hotel, but it was also the 4th of July so you can’t really control people setting off fireworks. The only thing I hadn’t been aware of prior to booking was there are no elevators, so I’d recommend trying to get a first floor room if one is available! Shower was kind of dated, but served its purpose, and everything was very clean!

The room was dingy but appeared ok. the beds looked tired. I can live with all that. However, upon our return from our event, late in the evening, we discovered the towels and the bed were dirty! YUCK! We slept on top of one of the beds rather than in it. I will not stay again with you and i would respectfully ask for a refund of my funds.

The carpet was so dirty my feet turned black walking barefoot on it. Rooms are old and dated but on the plus side, the bed is comfortable. Outside was fairly dirty and unkept and poison Ivey was everywhere, even on the walkways. Bathroom and shower had been updated so that was good.

The room was covered in dust..There was stuff on the floor in the bathroom..The air conditioner did not get cold,and neither did the refrigerator..It was very quiet and peaceful though!

The pictures and the rating for this property were misrepresented. The room was old and not very clean, the bed was uncomfortable, there were bugs in the room and the breakfast was just okay. If I had seen this property first, I would never have chosen to stay there. Don’t waste your money.

Room was clean but very dated. Bedding and pillows were clean and comfortable, AC unit worked well but i was allergic to something in the room, sneezed allot, not sure if it was mold or animal related. Carpeting was worn and older, not all lamps had power outlets and USB charger ports, lamps had some surface rust, microwave and refrigerator worked well, very nice tv. There was a pull out bed from a couch, but we did not use it. Iron and ironing board were good and usable. Ice machine was nearby outdoors. Our stay was fine but for the money, we would probably look elsewhere.

We liked that the hotel was near many of the areas of Charleston we planned to visit. It was definitely a budget experience, though. The door to our room had sizeable gaps in the weatherstripping which was discomforting. It was very easy to hear people walking by as well as cars in the parking lot. Breakfast selections were average, but that was expected. Being a pet-friendly location, there was a spot to put bags of droppings; however, it was overflowing both days we were there. In addition, beware of the pet owners who feel as if they never have to pick up after their dog -- I found one pile of fresh poop but did not see the culprit. Overall, we are neutral to the idea of returning to this location in the future.

Do not stay here unless it's your only option. Front desk (woman) had an attitude. Lady, get a grip - there was no reason to be that rude. Toilet was broken in the morning somehow?? Had to call and have someone come and fix it. He turned a few screws and it worked again- so it's just horribly managed. Very unsafe part of town near where I used to live for years, but had no clue it gotten that bad.

We had to stay in Charleston because of a medical emergency and the staff were so kind and helpful. We had to extend our stay twice and they allowed us to remain in the same rooms for over 10 days. I will always be grateful for their kindness to us during this horrible time.

The check-in experience was terrible. Had to wait over 30 minutes to check in. Lady behind counter giving gentleman in front of me incorrect information. Lady was working by herself and had to call someone because she didn’t know what to do. When it was our turn over 30 minutes later,, We had to ask for a rollaway because it was advertised and we requested it so I wanted to be sure it was in the room and she told us we did not because they did not have them. I told her when I booked the room. I had it in the notes. She said she didn’t know what I was talking about. It was obvious she was new and should not have been left alone there and was not properly trained. Luckily they owned the hotel next-door that did have them and she sent someone next-door to borrow one. It just wasn’t a good situation because they were still two people behind me waiting to check in for what we got this hotel should be about 75 or $80 a night

Overall the property was very good. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the lady hosting the breakfast was gracious and pleasant. However, the front desk clerk who checked us in needs some improvement on her interpersonal skills. She was initially snippy, abrupt and condescending. We felt as though we were bothering her even though we were trying to be pleasant and engaging. It got to the point where my patience with her attitude was wearing thin and my demeanor changed. At that point, her tone changed and she became more conciliatory and helpful. Nevertheless, the interaction was less than pleasant.

I've stayed here several times for the pool and breakfast. The rooms are fair, but there was trash left in mine this time and I noticed several small things around the property that needed attention. Worse than that, my room was somehow checked out to another guest after my child and I had already settled in. She walked in, and i thought I'd left the door unlatched by mistake and she'd wandered in. Nope! We compared cards from check in, and the same room number was written on both. When we went to the front desk, they said they had no record of me checking in which was why they were able to check my room out to someone else. They found the paper in some random place and apologized, but that could have been a bad situation.

I stayed a week at the property and it was a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was convenient and good for going off to work early in the morning. Convenient location to dining and where I needed to go. Also, the laundry area was well worth it too. I would definitely stay again

Great experience! Staff was very friendly and room was very clean. Parking was easy and it was very quiet. Landscaping is beautiful. The pool looked very nice although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Lots to choose from, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, etc. would definitely that here again!!!

The trip to Best Western was fantastic ! Clean rooms , friendly staff, we stay here about 10 years ago. The breakfast was FANTASTIC ! Lots of choices every day .Muffins , danish, eggs , susage , pancackes ,waffles and yogurt. I love herbal tea and they had al my favorites and hot chocolate too.Hubby liked the different flavors of coffee .In the lounge they had free muffins and coffee and coffee wasalso offered in the room.
