I chose the hotel for its location which was beautiful. The breakfast was good but very little gluten free choices were available for me. I was looking forward to spending a relaxing afternoon in the outdoor hot tub before dinner, but it was roped off and out of order. The AC unit in my room was loud and making a knocking noise. The room was clean but the elevators had crushed cornflakes and sunflower seed shells from the bus full of young athletes spending the night. There was no drop off for my room keys and several customers and I had to wait 10 minutes before someone showed up at the desk to check us out. I would rate the place average because this is what I have sadly come to expect when staying in hotels these days…

Great hotel few minutes from all action.Amazing views,free parking,great staff,nice breakfast.Pool and jacuzzi open till late which is great.Rooms are clean and quiet. Very good hotel for the price.

We had a great stay here! Everything was clean and neat. The sofa and desk space in our room gave us just the right amount of space to spread out. Breakfast was hot and quite good (eggs, bacon, grits as well as muffins, cereal, bagels). The hotel was very convenient to going into downtown Charleston...an easy 10 minute drive. Parking was plentiful and free. The pool was small, but still nice and clean. The staff was friendly and polite. The only recommendation I'd make is that the hotel could put more racks for dry things. Other than the shower rod, there was almost no place to hang wet towels and bathing suits.

Location is relatively close to city center. We paid around 10-12 $to go to King street. Breakfast us good with scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants. They need to improve cleanliness. The first day we arrived I found a newly cut finger nail stuck to my sole while walking in the room. Corners of sink and mirror were quite dirty. Also there were bisquit scrumbles on the rug at corridors. Neighbors' kids next door were very noisy, I had a hard time sleeping.

The view was gorgeous. We could see the rivers from our room. The room wasn’t clean. There was hair everywhere. I don’t expect rooms to be hair-free but this was excessive. There were little bugs on the floor in the luggage-drop zone.

The location is perfect. Easy access to all parts of Charleston. Room was a little dirty, stained sheets and the floors were gross. Older building but overall would consider staying again depending on price just because of the location.

There were visible remnants of hair in the shower and nail clippings from a previous guest on the pull-out sofa in our room. The pool and hot tub had debris floating in them. The breakfast was satisfactory, with good coffee, mediocre eggs, and subpar bacon. The muffins were store-bought and of good quality, and the pre-made breakfast sandwiches that were kept warm in a slow cooker were also good. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room was spacious and relatively clean. All the case goods were old, rickety and ugly. There was mold/dirt in corners in the bathroom. Although not entirely needed there were two TVs but only one hooked up. I was able to hook up power and cable and got it working. However, for the price, it is a good value

Room was not very clean, TV internet did not work, and when the engineer came to fix it he gave me a number to call instead of fixing it. Housekeeper came to make up the room at 8:45 and we weren’t ready. She asked if I wanted clean towels, which I took, but then the room didn’t get cleaned up at all.

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s been years, since we have been displeased with a hotel. We had to change rooms twice because of a problem. The first room had mold and the bathroom paint job was terrible. I could see patches of paint in the bath tub. The second room we moved to (within 1hr of check in), my husband woke up and there was water all over the floor, some type of leakage. We are now moving again to another room. The carpet in the hallways needs to be replaced because of the smell. The bathtubs in all 3 rooms were painted spotty therefore they need to be replaced. We were not compensated at all. We were suppose to receive 10,000 points and didn’t receive anything. We need to be compensated either by a refund or a free night stay. I will be following up on this.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and free. It was easy for us to drive downtown, only about 10 minutes at rush hour, to park near the Charleston Music Hall for a concert. The property was clean and comfortable. It could use some updating in the bathroom. The tub surface was peeling off. Breakfast was great with many options.

The hallways left something to be desired/there was a slight smell, however I think it just may be in need of an upgrade because the room was phenomenal. It more than exceeded our expectations and was very clean and modern looking compared to the hallway like i said. The room we got had a balcony with a beautiful view of the marina which was a nice surprise. The elevator was a little slow, but that is not a big deal just an observation. If I return to Charleston I would certainly book here again.

The kitchenette area was very useful. The couch was hard and too long in the seat to be comfortable to sit on, so basically useless. The bedding area and “closet” were cramped. The separate sink and toilet/shower was nice. There was only one towel bar to hang wet towels. The bath was slippery with nothing to prevent a fall. The pressure of the shower was so hard to be painful. The light over the sink was too strong. The toilet paper was excessively thin and cheap. The TV channels were very limited. The breakfast was ok, but too salty for us. The elevator doors were excessively slow to open. Close parking was abundant. It was easy to get in and out of hotel and an easy drive to downtown Charleston as well as most attractions.

Having the boat marina at your doorstep was nice, unfortunately the weather precluded our walking around. Parking was convenient and the neighborhood very quiet considering we were minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. Our room killed the whole experience for us. An oversized mini-kitchen/office space overshadowed a tiny cramped bathroom and bedroom, with one bed side placed against the wall such ťhat 2 people had to get in and out of the same side. The floor was bare vinyl, giving the room an eerie hollow echo when talking. Maybe we had an odd room, but the layout was really messed up! Plus we could hear all of the conversations in the hallway. It was a bad night. Not what i expected from Marriott.

Nice view of adjacent Yacht club. Off the beaten path and quiet. Room was Ok but nothing special. Air conditioner was so loud you could not sleep. Left it off during the night. Nice breakfast area

Traveled to Charleston for the weekend, got a room and as soon as we got into the room it smelled like fish. The smell was coming from the refrigerator, we were able to switch rooms but the room they put us in had another person laying in the bed!!! After going back down to the front desk again they gave us another room only to get to the 4th floor and figure out the room key doesn’t work.

Was not aware that the housekeeping services is timed. I asked the housekeeper to come back to clean the room as I was on a virtual meeting. She never came back and I tracked her down the hallway at 2:40 pm and informed her that the room Can be cleaned but she told me She was done for the day. Went down to the front desk and requested room to be be cleaned. No one came and when I followed up at 5:30 pm I was told that there was no housekeeper in the building. So they didn’t clean the room on the first day of our stay. So we were stuck with a wet towels and unkept room.

Facilitiy’s computer system was down when I arrived; neither of the available temporary keys worked, and every time I need to enter my room, I needed to have someone from the front desk walk to my room to open it. It seemed to take forever for hot water to arrive at either my sink or the shower. Complementary breakfast was very good.
Facilitiy’s computer system was down when I arrived; neither of the available temporary keys worked, and every time I need to enter my room, I needed to have someone from the front desk walk to my room to open it. I’ve stayed in Springhill Suites all over the country and never have I had such bad service. The employee at the desk was not friendly and quite rude. Then when I asked for a later check out to accommodate my schedule I was shocked to hear another employee yell from the back office rudely saying no to my request. There are ways to handle the situation and that wasn’t one of them. I stay in this area a lot for work and I can tell you I will not be coming back.

The room, service, staff etc were all wonderful. Staff was polite and helpful. Our room was immaculate and well stocked as well as spacious. The breakfast was nice with a large selection of items to choose from. Check in and out was quick, easy and relatively painless. Absolutely loved it!!

The hotel location was nice. Quick and easy drive to downtown. The only thing that we didn’t like was the hotel gave the kids to our room to another family at 10 pm at night. We were occupying the room and another group barged into our room. The hotel could never give us an explanation of exactly what happened.

I travel three to four days a week all over the USA. This is one of the worst properties I’ve ever stayed at. I was there four days and never had my room cleaned, trash taken out, toilet paper refilled, towels changed out, coffee refilled or any other thing that could be considered a “service”!! I called two days and asked for my room to be cleaned and it never happened!! I had to take towels and toilet paper off the cleaners cart just to have any!! There were plenty of cleaners standing around and doing nothing!! This is the MOST WORTHLESS STAFF anyone could ever hire!! They have horrible attitudes and do nothing as far as I can tell!! I don’t think anyone owns this property or they have never been to it in person!! I go to Charleston every year and will never stay here as long as I live!! I will tell everyone of my experience that will listen!! It is at a great location by being at the marina!! I would fire every worker and remodel this tired property and start over fresh!!

All the staff at this property were wonderful I wish I remembered her name but who checked us in she was great we got in town early and she was able to have a room clean and get us in early so we didn't have to drive around and wait. Hats off to her, she comforted my kids and gave them snacks. Made us feel really welcomed, and right at home. The pool and hot tub both were clean. The fitness center was equally clean and had refreshments. Beds are firm, linens were clean. All in all the weekday breakfast was plain and very simple. Wonderful view as well, the outside seating area for eating was great. If we needed anything extra like towels, linens, and soap etc, the front desk staff took care of it with pleasure. We greatly appreciate them, well worth the money.

smaller hotel, which I liked, convenient location for our trip to St. James island and folly beach area, stayed 2 nights, the place was great. safe, and clean with good staff. Nice water view with boats and a few under building parking spaces out of the weather. Go ahead and book it you will enjoy.

I liked the location fairly close to Folly Beach, and I also liked the friendliness of the staff. The Cambria hotel down the street serves dinner until 10pm if I remember correctly, but there isn’t anything else walking distance for dinner.

The kitchenette area was very useful. The couch was hard and too long in the seat to be comfortable to sit on, so basically useless. The bedding area and “closet” were cramped. The separate sink and toilet/shower was nice. There was only one towel bar to hang wet towels. The bath was slippery with nothing to prevent a fall. The pressure of the shower was so hard to be painful. The light over the sink was too strong. The toilet paper was excessively thin and cheap. The TV channels were very limited. The breakfast was ok, but too salty for us. The elevator doors were excessively slow to open. Close parking was abundant. It was easy to get in and out of hotel and an easy drive to downtown Charleston as well as most attractions.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and free. It was easy for us to drive downtown, only about 10 minutes at rush hour, to park near the Charleston Music Hall for a concert. Hallway of 47th floor near eleavator the floor as ripping up and could be a trip hazard for people. Looks like water damage which could be the smell in the hallway. Also, the bedding on one of our beds was dirty. Looked like makeup stains. Hotel has potential but needs some maitenance attention.

I love the location. Its not far from everything. Most i drive was 20mins that was the beach but everything else super close will be stay again. The only thing if you use the gym bring sanitizer they dont have anything to clean the equipment with hope that will chang.
