This is the second time that I habe stayed at this property. The fact that there is s pool, sauna and jacuzzi makes me feel like I am on vacation. The room has an air filter which makes me feel protected. I really appreciate this property.

We rented a room as we do every single year for winter vacation just to swim for the check in the day we leave day. We woke up to find out they had to shut the pool down because they said it was not safe to swim until the chemicals were balanced. I’m certainly glad they did not let us swim when it was unsafe but that being said. The pool should have been monitored the night before and worked on after it closed in the evening. Our stay was for nothing and I feel like our money was wasted. No compensation was offered and all they said to us was pool was closed for probably the entire day. My kiddos were so bummed it was the only time of the year we get to do the winter get a way and swim. Money wasted and we won’t stay here again. Rooms smelt musty but seemed clean. The front desk staff were really nice and friendly.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful making our stay easy and enjoyable! The room was clean and the drive to downtown Newport was 10 minutes away and the hotel shuttle takes you right to the wharf. The driver was knowledgeable about the city and super friendly. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in the area

Great stay for a family getaway. The pool was large, clean and heated. The hot tub was great too. There was also a suana. The pool area was heated and comfortable to sit while the kids swam. The breakfast was nice with many options. The lobby was beautiful, you can even borrow games for the kids to play. Well worth the money.

If you have a dog this property is PERFECT! There is a wing for people with pets and it is on the ground level with a patio and can easily take them outside in the morning. There is also a walking trail behind the property that was very safe.

Awesome pool and hot tub! Fitness center is closed for refurbishment so that was a bit of a bummer, but otherwise a great one night stay. Breakfast was very basic, but well stocked. The bed was really hard, but that is personal preference.

The room smelled like moisture. We stayed 2 nights there was no housekeeping after 1 night. They didn’t even bring fresh towels. I called and asked for fresh towels for 4 people. They bring 3 towels. There was no shower gel. The first day I told at the front desk that shower gel on the wall was missing . And this morning there was a cockroach in the bathroom. So definitely we not gonna stay there anymore and not gonna recommend to anybody this hotel.

It is a very nice hotel and our room was clean, except that the cleaning people had left cleaning supplies in the toilet. Our other problem was with the bathtub in that the drain was stuck closed and once you got it open, it would not stay open, and it drained very slowly. Other than those two minor problems, though the drain on the shower was a bit of a problem in the morning, it was clean, it was nice, the people were very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel is amazing! The price could not be beat for a late April stay. I went with my mother for a long weekend and we absolutely loved it! The pool was clean and towels were always stocked. Every employee I encountered was beyond helpful and pleasant. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The double queen room I booked had a mini fridge and a microwave and that was super convenient to have. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Do not hesitate to book at this wonderful hotel.

We saw a bug like a cockroach in the white tub the first night. Then, the next morning we saw 3 or 4 more of the brown bugs above the large wooden headboard of the bed. We called the front desk and spoke to them in person. They said they would send maintenance to check it out and we were able to switch rooms. Maintenance said they didn\'t see anything. So the hotel got an independent buisness to tear apart the room, beds, headboards and they didn\'t find any bugs. So,essentially the general manager told us "there is no evidence of that." We said fo the inconvenience and disgust of having that happen, we would expect some kind of deduction from the $200 room charge for the first night there. They refused. So it looks like they are saying we lied.They all also said that they have NEVER ever had bugs in their hotel in decades. Now, who is lying?

Easy check-in and out. The staff were efficient and confident. Our room was better than expected as the two queen beds were very comfy. We had two sinks one in the bathroom and one outside. We had a small outside deck with two chairs overlooking a grassy area. It’s about 12 minutes to Newport during the day due to traffic but only 7 minutes home at 9 pm or after.

Nothing special other than a very pricey Howard Johnson. The rooms were cleaned, beds are good. Staff was nice and attentive. Acoustics are bad we could hear everything in the room above us. Also no coffees pots in room.

The property was nice, well maintained. When we arrived to check in there was no one at the desk and there was a sign saying be back in 5 minutes. There were two other parties waiting to check in also. The phone was ringing and there was no one around from the hotel. I walked down the hall and found the restroom and when I got back to the lobby we were still waiting. A man finally came back to the front desk and took down the sign and started checking people in. I did not hear an apology or sorry for the wait. Not very welcoming!

The front desk staff is as great. The staff running the breakfast was also great. I saw one of the women tell a mom with a toddler and a baby in her arms to go ahead and sit and she’d get her breakfast stuff for her. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful and above and beyond.

This is my go to hotel when heading to Newport. Clean and safe with ample free parking and only a $10 Uber to downtown. Staff was exceptional with getting me early check in and late check out. I highly recommend!

I have to say, I don’t leave reviews, but I have to give this motel a five star rating. Except for the first gentleman at the desk when I checked in, everybody else has been amazing. We had an issue swiping in at the door to get into the actual motel and we told the front desk and within five minutes there was somebody at the scanning screen cleaning it off with alcohol. The buffet in the morning for breakfast was really good. There were scrambled eggs and bacon and waffles. It was very very nice. The room was beautiful. We slept well. It was nice and quiet. It was clean. We also had one issue with our toilet where it wouldn’t flush and within 10 minutes there was somebody at our door fixing the toilet. Like I said, I was amazed, and would recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Newport area. It was maybe 10 minutes from the mansions. And it was great because there was an Applebee’s attached to it and you were able to go to Applebee’s and then just walked right back to your room. They thought of everything! Have a great day if you stay here, you won’t regret it!

Like I said, I was amazed, and would recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Newport area. It was maybe 10 minutes from the mansions. And it was great because there was an Applebee’s attached to it and you were able to go to Applebee’s and then just walked right back to your room. They thought of everything! Have a great day if you stay here, you won’t regret it!

We arrived at the property and went to a room after checking in. Almost immediately we received a phone call from the front desk just checking to make sure we were happy with the room. I have never received such a call of any hotel saying I've ever said that.

The property is old, but appeared to me very clean which is the most important thing to me. They have a breakfast buffet until 10am which unfortunately we did not wake up in time for. The lobby is beautiful. It has an Applebees attached to it and a lot of conveniences around it. Only a couple of minutes' drive to Newport.Overall we were pleased, especially at the price. More expensive hotels are next door and across the street.

Recently renovated. Good sized rooms. Two lav sinks, one inside bath and the other outside makes it ideal for families. Quiet location just outside Newport city limits, only a ten minute local drive to the historic houses.

This was an excellent experience at a great place. Check i was easy, with pleasant staff who was proud to show off their many awards, and to promise they were working hard to get more. Property was clean and comfortable, easy access to desired activities, and had plenty of close parking. The building always required a card to access, so good security. Area is good, across from a nature area, across the street from many shops, 10 minutes to the heart of Newport. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean and quiet. Free breakfast in the morning had lots of options (even almond milk and avocado) and was tasty. Super quick drive to Newport. The hotel is around a few restaurants and other shops and we always felt safe. There's a pool and the lobby always has coffee, tea and water. Beds were comfortable. Good stay and value!

We've stayed at this property several times. It's very clean, has nice helpful staff and it is convenient to Newport. They also have a nice pool and a free breakfast which is pretty good. The Applebees attached is not the best restaurant in terms of consistency and staffing which is unfortunate considering the location. Also, the hotel will charge you for a "safe" fee so if you don't use the safe while you stay there, you can go to the front desk and they will take the charges off for you.

Everything was pleasant. The only thing we did not like were the “scrambled” eggs at breakfast, which we avoided. They looked like microwave eggs. But the make your own waffles made up for it

The hotel is in a great location. It was clean and the service was excellent. It has a great breakfast with eggs, meats, fruits, yogurts, cereals, waffles, muffins, bagels and even avocado freshly cut and put in little containers- I was so happy to see that! My only complaint about the breakfast is they had no cream, half and half or whole milk for the coffee/tea, they only had skim milk, 2% milk or an imitation creamer in the tiny individual containers. This was a big disappointment for me. A few downsides- there are no coffee makers in the rooms , however when we told them we were disappointed and wanted one they found one for us. The safe in the room did not work but we called about it and they came right away to check it, however , they were unable to fix it. The vent in the bathroom did not work, they also checked it out right away but said it looked like a roof top hotel wide issue and were unable to fix it at that time.

We enjoyed sitting on our outdoor patio. Only downside, no elevator. Luckily there are only 2 floors. Would Def go again to this Hotel
