Don't come here if you have any kind of disability -- I'm on crutches and they have no elevator ... had to crawl up stairs that had not been vacuumed in forever to my 2nd floor room. They never even offered a first-floor room. Nothing available in the lobby when we checked out. Not a good value for the money spent.

Looks nothing like online photos. No elevators, staff was horrible. Must have a car or you will be paying a lot in Ubers. Overall bad bad and bad! Oh and they double charged my husband CC😡

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room feels a bit sparse but is clean and comfortable. There are only two floors but there is no elevator. If i had know that, i would have requested a room on the first floor.

booked 6 months ahead and when we arrived found out there was no elevator and we had alot of luggage. When I said I would go elsewhere he suddenly had a room on the first floor. The hotel was old and in need of many repairs. I will not book with red roof again

We made a last minute decision to visit RI. My usual places (chain hotels) did not allow pets or had an additional $50 per night! Red Roof Inn allows one pet at no additional cost. I was worried about the place being messy since some pet owners are not responsible. The place was very clean, and I think we were the only pet owners. The lobby was CLEAN. One of the days, it rained, and I felt bad taking our dog in and out since she would make paw prints on the floor. Those paw prints were gone when I came down again. It seemed like someone with OCD was obsessively cleaning the lobby area, and I say this in a good way. Other areas were clean (enough) but the place seemed worn out. If you travel with kids, it has McDonald, KFC, Dominos, and Stop and Shop (to buy milk etc.) within a walking distance, and we used a full use of them. For the price, it was a great deal. If we visit RI again, we will stay here again for sure.

I stayed on room 209 from Nov. 1st to Nov.3rd. We arrived from the airport super tired around 12:20 am The staff was wonderful and the room was good except for the bathroom. I wanted to take a bath and couldn't since the bathtub was no cleaned previously, it had hair, pubic hair, and some dirt and soap from previous user. also the walls of the bathtub hasn't been scrub in a while. I told the office about, they wrote it down on a book and said the manager will call me which he/her didn't doit yet, today is Nov.6. the room floor was clean and also the bed, distribution of the room was nice. The stair and hallway rug needs some vacuum, overall the room smells good, AC worked well. I didn't have the chance to try their breakfast but from other guest it looks like the juice machine was out of service and they run out of some items quickly. .

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean with no stains on any of the linens. The room came with a fridge and microwave, which was nice. And they provided free breakfast in the mornings. The AC is powerful and kept the room relatively cool. However, the bathroom tiles around the tub were moldy. The tub had hot tub jets but they were dirty. I would say that’s my only concern about the place.

The staff were friendly and the rooms appeared clean, however my girlfriend and I definitely ran into some issues. For one, the power went out for about 6 hours during the day, leaving the rooms hot and dark. The main issue, however was that the room we were assigned had bed bugs. While they were accommodating and gave us another room, it was still a turn off as we were only staying for two nights. We now have to worry about bringing them home and hope they issue us a refund. Overall, a decent place fairly close to newport, just make sure you check for bed bugs.

However, it was overpriced for what it was, especially the small bathroom, no counter space, and the door couldn't even open all the way; it hits the toilet. Location was fine, not too far from main part of town. The hotel had all the basic amenities. The staff was great. I didn’t catch her name but the lady working the counter the night of 6/25/25 was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and laid out well. The bathroom was a struggle. Definitely needs some updates and the door doesn’t open all the way because it hits the toilet. The sink and bathtub didn’t seem very clean. It was difficult with our two young kids. Overall though it was a decent stay for one night.

We could hear upstairs guests at night and morning. Breakfast was available, but most was high carb foods like cereal, pastries, and waffles. The staff here is amazing. My husband and i were running late for check in time. The gentlman at the front desk, named Davis, was so gracious, welcoming, friendly, helpful and all around great. We enjkyed our stay so much that we booked a second night. The Hotel was clean, quiet, well stocked, in great condition and all of our questions were answered. 5 stars. Highly recommend. Will stay here again when in the area.

Lower end of the Red Roof properties. No toilet paper, spare roll under the sink was soaking wet due to an apparent leak under the sink. 5 am fire alarm, motel evacuated. Staff ranged from indifferent to rude.On the plus side was a perfect location for our planned activities.

Driving to the property for the first time we encountered a problem with our GPS system. We phoned the property and spoke to the young women on duty and explained our problem. She did her best to determine our location and direct us to the property. After a few minutes when we had not arrived, we received a phone call from the women we had spoken to earlier who said she was concerned about us because we should have arrived already. She remained on the phone with us for several minutes helping us get to the property. My wife and I were very impressed with the genuine concern and assistance offered by the young women who called us back when we did not arrive and spent considerable time helping us. Her concern and assistance was the most memorable encounter during our stay, We have retold this story many many times.

I really want to give the staff and service 4-5 stars because of the front office people but the housekeeping. We have a garbage from our room that we handed to them but instead of taking it they showed us where to dump it. 😳 so basically we cleaned our own room.

There was nothing wrong with the room itself, but the vibe and the service were something else. I arrived less than an hour before the official check-in time and was told I could access my room earlier for a $40 charge. Most hotels charge for a late check-out, which is understandable, but in 30+ years, I've never been charged for checking in earlier when the room was already available. Most hotels have longer breakfast hours on weekends, but not here.... and despite the limited window, they were almost out of scrambled eggs more than an hour before the cut-off, and what was there was cold. This was my first time staying at a Red Roof Inn property, and will also be the last.

Check in was easy - we got there really late and no problems. Room was clean. Bed was just right. Convenient to grocery and some big box shopping. Nice to be just outside all the hubbub in the busier Newport area. Quick drive to Sail Newport. Easy to get what you forgot to bring.

The stay was fine. The room was clean. It had a weird smell, it wasn’t strong but it kind of smelled like an old folks home. I liked the bed, wasn’t too soft like most places. Breakfast was ok , they had a waffle iron which was fun. Good location.

Check in easy and very friendly staff. Bed comfortable. Room and hall smelled musty. Paint chipped on walls in bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom very small, door couldn’t be opened all the way..hit toilet. No counter space by sink. Very limited breakfast options. No one wiping tables or cleaning up litter left by other guests. Did have waffle maker but had to reuse cup for batter, only 1 cup there. Coffee tasted terrible. Don’t think I would stay here again.
