TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jacksonville Mayport

I was very impressed with this hotel. And I'm not big on staying in hotels. But, we stayed in one of the 1 bedroom suites. It was absolutely perfect. Nice big bathroom. Loved the separate bedroom. Plenty of storage. TV in living room and bedroom. Separate AC units for living room and bedroom. And I was shocked by how well the kitchen was stocked. This was a hotel, but it had everything you'd need in that kitchen to cook a meal. Stove, oven, microwave, toaster, even a dishwasher! And all the dishes you'd need. I mean even down to a cutting board. Nice size refrigerator/freezer. Not your typical hotel mini fridge. We were in town for a wedding so we were busy with that and didn't get to utilize it, but was very impressed. I mean you could stay here for an extended period and cook your own meals, and with that fridge buy plenty of groceries. We did enjoy the pool one morning before the days activities started. And did I mention clean.... there was some water that dripped off the shower door when I opened it. I dried it up with the white floor towel. There was absolutely no dirt on that towel from the floor. And when you opened the shower door there was a faint smell of bleach which makes me feel like they really cleaned it well. Also all the staff we interacted with was friendly. Would 1000% stay there again. Book it. You will not be disappointed!

Hotel staff were wonderful. Room was very clean, as well as the hotel grounds. Parking is great, no hassle. Loved the coffee and breakfast in the morning. Simple yet perfect for starting your day. There is a small pool area but we didnt have the opportunity to enjoy it due to weather not cooperating. Laundry is also available, washer and dryers worked perfectly. Overall it was a great stay and if I ever visit mayport area again I will absolutely stay here!

Although I know the breakfast items are bulk provided to the hotel, the food was obviously carefully prepared, from the flaky biscuit sandwiches to the crispy bacon, it wasn't dried out or overcooked during out one week stay. Our room was clean and spacious with enough nooks crannies and hooks to spread out our belongings. The bathroom was also clean and spacious, the large, glass door shower wall allowing light in and the faucet handle on the opposite side of the shower head, allowing temperature adjustment before getting wet. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
