Two things: 1) no grab bars to get in/out of the tub. I’m 79 years old and having something to hold onto offers a lot of security. 2) on Sunday morning the elevators were not working for some reason. People were using steps down to the ground floor but that door was locked! Up two flights to an open door. Had there been an emergency it would have proved to be very serious. You need your evacuation routes clearly marked.

I wasn’t aware of the $15 parking fee everytime you leave out, I booked this hotel based off the pictures provided and it looked nothing like it was, the pool was my main attraction but it unfortunately was under construction and I didn’t know. I will say it was VERY clean and quiet!

We only stayed one night. While walking 3 blocks to our venue we noticed a heavy police presence, large groups of rowdy people, and the streets smelled of urine. The room was clean-ish. The small things , like light sockets had brown crud embedded into them. There were cracks in the sink, the same brown stuff on light sockets, sticky tables and a lot of noise. We were woken up at 7am by work being dine on the floor above us. You could hear carts being pushed and hammers through the ceiling. While I have stayed in worse hotels, I will not be coming back to this one.

The bathroom in the lobby was so dirty, that I had to go somewhere else to use the restroom, as I wasn’t ready to go upstairs yet. Every stool was gross. Very disappointing coming from a Marriott.

There was a very bad smell in the room when we got there that persisted until we left, it was a moldy smell coming from the ac. The neighbors next door must've had a party because they were noisy well into the night. Staff was friendly.

As if pulling up and seeing a grown man taking a crap in the street wasnt horrible enough we woke up to roaches in our bed and in our room. 14th floor. Was told I'd be contacted by management but they clearly arent that concerned with resolving the issues because i havent heard anythibg at all.

Booked through hotels.com and prepaid. Billed for two of the three nights again at the property. Charged for valet parking but told it was self park with a $___five in/out fee on top of $___twenty per night. The paid valet parking was actually $_____ thirty six per night which they increased without notice on the third night due to an “event.” Hotel is dirty and in a bad area. “Housekeeping” failed to vacuum or wipe the bathroom down during the entire stay. Pictures and receipts to prove. Will have to dispute the charges through the bank as the staff was no help at all. Never. Again. Not through hotels.com or at a Marriott. Discount sites for discount hotels get you a discount experience. You can keep your “rewards” and so on. No interest. Deleting account and app. Hilarious, requested to revise my review and leave out prices. All you need to know about hotels.com right there. Weak.

Room was nice and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom flooded when I showered causing the carpet surrounding the outside of the bathroom to get soaked. Hopefully whatever is causing the leak gets fixed. Otherwise, enjoyable stay.

The AC never really got cold; the sink didn’t drain, and about 4 AM we heard rap music from next door. The smell of pot was pretty strong in certain places, and there were no “direct call” instructions for the hotel front desk, bell hop, etc. instead, we had to call the reservation hotline to get the number to the front desk. It was just wasn’t the best stay we’ve had.

Great stay. Check in was easy and quick. Paid for valet parking at 36 for the day. They don’t have their own parking so it was that or garage or lot parking. desk Agent was friendly and informative. Room was renovated and very nice. Pillow were very comfortable as well as the bed. View was nice. Only issue was ac didn’t seem to work well at night. Also the restaurant was not very good at all. I’d recommend eating elsewhere. Server was very nice, but the food was tasteless and blah.

Pillows were flat, walls were paper thin, heard drunk neighbors arguing at 1am. The shower took forever to get warm, the toilet had to be held for 20 seconds to flush, definitely not staying here again.

The room had some inconvenient features. To operate the TV while lying in the bed required holding the remote up in the air and aiming it PRECISELY at the TV sensor. If you're off by a few degrees it would not work. The switch for the lamp behind the easy chair was on the floor. To turn off/on required one to stand behind the chair and slide the switch with your foot.

This was the third time to stay at this location and it did not disappoint, The rooms have been renovated and have a more modern feel. The staff has been extremely welcoming and helpful each time. We attended for an NFL game and Tony, the concierge, recommended delicious places to eat and took care of arranging our ride to and from the game. The restaurant has a nice selection of food and drinks and plenty of space to accommodate many guests. The staff is the best part of this hotel for 3 years in a row now. We really appreciated them!

Stayed here for a JAX game & NYE. Pros: good blackout curtains, large flat screen TV (w/ streaming options), good water pressure, housekeeping was great, & staff was friendly (shoutout to Tony for arranging transportation to & from the game for us) Cons: the AC does not cool the room properly, the pillows are flat, the mattress is worn out, the bathroom is extremely outdated (although it was very clean, the appearance made it feel dirty), there is no microwave in the room, walls are very thin so you can hear practically everything happening around you

I arrived late due to the hurricane that hit my area in Tallahassee. The staff checked me in with a smile and was very friendly to me throughout my 3 day stay. They told me all about the facility and we're very polite during my time of need. I'll will recommend you to anyone who travels to Jacksonville and I will come back again hopefully under better circumstances.

Do yourself a favor and pay $100 more to stay at the Hyatt, instead of the Marriott. We paid ultra premium prices on a Thursday night. They nickel and dime you to death, $29 parking, terrible parking setup (must pull into a narrow valet lane). Valet staff were very lackadaisical, vehicles back flowed down the street and around the corner. Very little information given by lobby staff upon check-in. For being an expensive Marriott, they didn’t make you feel welcome, and didn’t share any information on how to make the stay more comfortable (nothing about local places to eat or ways to get around). Neither the front lobby staff nor the valet staff seemed willing to help, nor did they communicate with each other. There was no free internet (nor did they inform me that there even was WiFi), dirty part of town, zero security and homeless people coming up to you when trying to get in your vehicle. Their “late night food”, which they tried to funnel people into towards closing of their bar, literally consisted of Doritos and M&M’s, priced at $7 and $8. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel - we’ll never stay here again.

I had difficulty accessing the WiFi and needed to send a report for work. Tyler was able to help out and was so very kind about the difficulties I was having. The valet staff were very respectful and quick. The restaurant was much better than what is usually at a hotel. Overall a great experience.

Took about 2 1/2 hours to check in. Was told there wasn’t any rooms available but people were getting rooms. I asked staff member why they were receiving rooms and she stated they got there before us and got on a waiting list however this was not true because 3 different people ahead of me in line to check in had just gotten there and got their rooms upon approaching the front desk. I was still told a room wasn’t available for the 2nd time after waiting in lobby for over 2 hours. This was our 4th and LAST time staying at this hotel.

Amazing staff, from valet parking, checkin, and restaurant management and wait staff. They were extra friendly and apologetic to any prolonged waiting with discounts on our food purchases even though we didn’t feel put out.

We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for the Gator Bowl and it was in walking distance for the stadium. (About 1 1/4 miles) The river walk is very nice and you are able to walk over the bridge if wanted. The rooms were nice and the staff attentive.

Ordered drinks at the bar around 11:30pm. It took a while to get the drinks.(served in plastic cups)After a few sips the lights were all turned on and we told we needed to leave because they were closing. A "cup" of wine was $17. Had I known it was that much, I wouldn't have got it especially being told we needed to leave. I had a bottle of wine in my room that I could've drank if I knew we couldn't stay at the bar to drink what we ordered.

Hotel is not in a great area of dt Jax. Nice lobby and bar/restaurant, but service was slow as they were understaffed. Bfast is only the $23 buffet. Not great. No fruit, and I am celiac so very limited options. Rooms were ok but not worth $500 eac per night to view the parking lot. Charged me for internet which I had removed after I told them I was an Amex Platinum member. I would try to stay elsewhere if I go there again.
