Quality Inn Orange Park Jacksonville

Upon entrance, I couldn’t have asked for a better Manager at the desk. I booked 10 day stay. Initially my room was on second floor in the back. I explained to him, I’m traveling alone, I’m not familiar with the area although Jacksonville FL, has a reputation for high criminal activity. I said I would like a room up front, ground floor within eye view of his lobby. He was very understanding, accommodated my request perfectly. However, within 2 days, direct tv eliminated a couple of my favorite channels, leaving me with much of Jacksonville news. The next thing was, there was lots of work going on in the lobby and the outside parking lot, making a lot of noise and a struggle maneuvering my car around. Then the Florida palmettos (huge roaches 2) freaked me out, they were huge and fast as lightening. I was able to kill them. Then later in my stay, I saw a tiny spider mite moving on the pillow, ok not too bad, grabbed a tissue and when I went to kill and grab it, there was probably 50 of the little bugs all in a group…. Again freaked me out. And again all these things were uncontrollable, along with the extra loud guests hanging outside my door. I never complained because it was nothing that nice manger could control. But it does change my thoughts where I stay as I’ve never experienced these issues before. I travel periodically, but with shorter stays I’ve in more reputable hotels.

I thought that Nia and Kathy were very very nice and friendly. They were always smiling and answered my questions. They both always said good morning and have a nice day. This hotel was one of my favorite places. WASHER MACHINE BROKE AND COKE MACHINE OUT OF DRINKS OR WOULDN'T TAKE THE CHANGE. Y'ALL NEED TO HAVE WATER AVAILABLE FOR THE CUSTOMERS. FIX THE MACHINES YO SALE WATER. MY FIRST ROOM HAD DOME ANT'S AND A FEW WATER BUGS. DON'T PIT PROPLE CLOSE YO THE REMODELING NOISE. URSULA WAS VERY MEAN AND NOT POLITE.

No LAN line at all. ( no way to communicate to front desk) We asked desk person for her cell. Lady from adjacent building was screaming at guests from our hotel. Other guests were stanging outside their rooms watching the show.Front desk person (Sarah) was the only bright spot. Avoid this hotel. Bright spot...only saw one cockroach

Yes the property is dated but it is being renovated. Sarah, Ursula and Miss Kathy are staff highlights.

WIFI - The WIFI was absolutely the worst of any hotel I've ever been in. I travel for work and need a solid WIFI connection. As soon as you leave the the front desk the bars begin to drop, and as soon as you are 50ft from the front entrance you are down to the lowest possible bars. Many times my lap top would just drop the WIFI and wouldn't even be able to find the hotels connection again without restarting my laptop. There was a better connection to the bowling alley next door, but was password protected. Oh and when I went to bed a bug flew out from behind the pillows.

There was no pool It was out of order due to the rail was broken!!!

A/C not working well, smell very bad.

I sure wish the washer and dryer worked here and wouldn't take out money. I stayed here last summer for 6 weeks and they were broken back then to. This time need more night time security to many people walking around all hours of the night

The par!ing lot on our side was at an angle. Not sure how handicapp could park there with such a steep slope. Wish they had more options for breakfast. Other than that I would use again. The employees are very nice!

Not the best of hotels I asked to be put in front or around the pool and they said no problem but there was a problem the pool was closed and of course the manager said nothing The room is not very clean but the bedsheets were clean and fresh The pool area is clean The driveway and front driveway was clean Nose level was good I would stay again but only if I could not find any other hotels

Rooms stunk of weed and mold. And saw roaches.

The front desk clerk was incredibly friendly and professional. However, the room itself was very disappointing. It was quite run-down, and to my surprise, the sheets had cigarette burns in them. To make matters worse, there were blood stains on the sheets, and one of them even had a dirty smear. And to top it off, there were gnats flying around the room. I even had to kill a few of them. Needless to say, I made my stay as short as possible due to the room's poor condition. I've stayed here a couple of years ago and had a much better experience. It's disappointing how much the quality has declined. While the front desk clerk was very friendly and professional, I would not recommend staying here based on the room's condition. I definitely won't be staying here again.

Rooms were dirty, carpet and even the bed sheets had stains all over them. Room was a little bit small too.

Property was run down, dirty and had dangerous people in the parking lot. The food was disgusting and had gross consistency.

Our room smelled like marijuana. The room was filthy. The bathroom and sink area had ants. The area seemed very unsafe.

The furniture was dirty. Carpet was old. Towels were stained. Room overall looked very old. Neighborhood wasn't safe.

I'm not saying that it was your fault or the staff's fault as we did not call the front desk to report it but our next door neighbors were loud and raucous, using every F-bomb and N-word right up to 11:30. When we finally got to sleep the man went outside at 2:00 am and was loud on his phone until a loud woman told him to shut it down. We did not feel safe and we had a very hard time sleeping after that. I wish someone from the front desk would have handled the noise problem, but again, I didn't file a complaint.

My non-smoking room had cigarette burns on the AC unit, the drapes, the bedspread and the tub. Although the sheets were clean, there were mystery black stains. The couple next door fought all night and screamed with lots of door slamming and threats of violence. When I parked at the side of the building, I interrupted the dope smoking party I would have left but I had already prepaid with no refund, I was exhausted. Never, ever staying there again.

Shower pressure is weak.

Shower area was dirty. T.V. was fuzzy. Just an older hotel.

The condition of the room was undesirable. It needs a good cleaning. Sheets were stained and dirty. The room smelled moldy and humid. Pillows were small and uncomfortable. The AC looked like it needed repairs. Honestly the whole room needs a good cleaning and upgrade. As I walked the facility saw the washer dryer area and everything just looked dingy.

Very loud , not very clean, room had two vapes in the pillow case and writing on the lampshade. Front dark person was awesome very kind and friendly.

This was by far the WORSE hotel I’ve ever stayed at !! The hot water wasn’t hot. The heat in the room wasn’t hot. We had to freeze at night when we wanted the heat on. The room was dirty. I feel like just because we had a smoking room don’t give them a right to put covers with a bunch of burned holes in the covers!! Some of us are CLEAN SMOKERS !! The room was stink !! I had to go buy my own fabreeze. Worse birthday trip ever (hotel wise). I’ll definitely never come back here.

AC / Heater wasn’t functioning well. The room had light odor. It was an ok stay however could’ve been better for the cost.

Our stay was challenging initially, one of our rooms were dirty upon check-in and one the shower head was missing. The hotel needs renovating from top to bottom. Additionally, there were people moving about all night long.

There’s definitely a prostitution ring being run out of this hotel. I evacuated during a hurricane, there were ZERO hotels available anywhere else, or I would have left. I brought it up to a guy at the front desk and his only response was they can check me out if I wanted to leave. He didn’t want to get rid of them, just me. Clearly there’s no security on the property. The “boss” of this group would have some of the girls hangout across the street next to a furniture store, he’d shout from the hotel balcony (regardless of what time it was) when they were needed. The maintenance team smokes everywhere they go in the property. The door had a gap at the bottom so you could smell all the smoke and hear everything going on outside. The rooms smell like mildew. The best thing for this “hotel” is to be torn down. I’ve never felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. I left a day early just so I could get out of that place, I couldn’t take it anymore. When I was checking out at the front desk, I wasn’t asked why I was leaving early, I was only told,” We don’t give refunds,” After getting back home and looking at other reviews of the place, all of these issues have been brought up, clearly nothing has been done about it!

Desk manager Sharma was excellent and so happy. Treated my staff with professional skills and laughter. We are military veterans of Navy and Marine mix. The staff, housekeepers and that wonderful hunter of the garden cat were supreme in their work capabilities. We were extremely pleased and felt as if we were with our favorite cousin's. The stay was good. The beds are hard as hell and that was the only problem i had. I love love love Ms. Ursula she is so sweet and very helpful. I always look for her when i stay with them

First off Hotels .com needs to remove this hotel from their site it said on the website it was pet friendly and when you get in the lobby it states pets are NOT permitted after arguing with the desk clerk they allowed our pets to stay we go to the first room opened the door and alls you could smell was weed overpowering at that then on to the next room No working air mind you we are in Florida went to the front desk asked to be moved again opened room door once again smelled like drugs overpowering again ok 4 times the charm oh no smelled like mold and had food under the beds blankets were stained it’s late we are tired after traveling 14 hours so next day went to the office and asked them to properly clean the room the guy at the front desk tried to charge me again already paid even pet fees Sooo let’s get on to the drug addicted people prostitutes pimps etc the hotel has walking around sitting in the lobby outside etc the owners have family members staying in the hotel so can’t say they aren’t aware as many hotels that we have stayed in this has to be the worst experience of my life don’t bother booking you’ll leave like we did

Called front desk phone just rings hung up called again was put on hold hung up called again and was put on hold and finally hung up on but when on hold the front desk was talking personal about something else with someone. I was trying to ask for my one night back but could not reach anyone at the front so I just left and took my room key with me it was pointless to go to the front desk. It was horrible and they need to have someone who can control the activity that is going on it’s a drug hotel and staff doesn’t care they don’t get up from the front desk to check or even do a walk around property before night no security no houseman to do checks. I am a hotel manager and that was the worst stay ever and I really liked my last stay there but not this one there’s no way you can sleep with all the activity going on kids running back and forth up and down the drugs the loud music, the people hanging out and sitting in the cars it doesn’t make you feel safe at all. Let me not forget the man yelling at 3am about his money for pills he sold to someone and going to the beach, this was a insane stay and I doubt I will stay at this hotel again I’m sorry it’s a nice place but the traffic and noise and the unsafe makes it bad .

I stay here once a week, the manager is so friendly and he's always very accommodating! The rooms and property are great!

I had to ask for the room to be changed because I was placed in a room that smelled like marijuana smoke although I selected non-smoking. The front desk person does not like to allow room changes after receiving payment. The air conditioning unit was full of dust. It seems like a lot of stragglers frequent this place so the staff treats everyone with the same level of service or lack thereof. They have done some renovations but the place will be in bad condition sooner than later if the hotel fails to upkeep and all their rooms are smoked in. Not the most comfortable stay.

At check in there were 2 men fist fighting in the parking lot as i approached the check in window. Then there were 3 women standing close by that appeared to be prostitutes working that area. The check in window reeked of Marijuana coming out of it. The middle aged women that was checking me in told me i had to leave a $50 CASH deposit before i could check in. I refused and left immediate to find a different hotel! I SHOULD BE REFUNDED! TAKE your chances!

So many places to walk to.

There were no redeeming qualities to this property. The staff was ok but the room reeked and “clientele” and people in vicinity made it feel unsafe. I visited a business nearby and when I shared where I was staying their response was “I’m sorry” before I even shared my observations. A big NO unless you have no other options, which I did not due to hurricane. 👎.

Our stay was only for one night. The room was very clean but the mattress was a little firmer than I would like. We came in kind of late and there were some undesirable looking people hanging around in the stairs. But overall the stay was good.

We found Avery nice place to stay while visiting Jacksonville for a NFL game that was conveniently located not far from TIAA Stadium.

Check in was easy, great location, shopping center within walking distance. Really don't have any complaints. Would recommend to others.

The propert itself was awful. However, it is conveniently located near shopping areas, restaurants, etc.

Stay was adequate. Receptionist (Ursula ) was extremely personable and very helpful. Breakfast was very disappointing coffee not very hot. Not much of a selection at all. Forced to go out the second day. Shower was extremely gross so no showering. We did not pay to price ...nor bottom price. So really expected more than what we got.
