The pool was down, the hotel was dirty, there was a. Awful smell. Our room was dirty, there was feces on the wall and the towels were dirty and stained. We only stayed 1 night and left to go somewhere else. Please send refund ASAP.

Everything has an out of order sign. And I mean anything. The elevator has duct tape holding it together

The place smelled. The reservations were given to someone else. Pool was down for repairs, ice machine was broken and vending machine was broken. Poor lightening. Pictures on yhe website made it look much better than it was. There was a demolished building in tge front of the hotel with alot of debri.

No frills. Pool closed for maintenance. Hallways could use a bit of a refresh.

The pool wasn't down for maintenance! They were using it as storage! A bunch of couches boxes and whatnots. I had called before hand to ask and they said it was up and going. Kids running up and down the halls all night long 9pm/2am. People being so loud we could hear them over the TV. Dogs barking constantly. Then when it came to check out they refused a receipt said it's in my email and I can't have one. They don't check you out. They make you drop keys in a plastic box. Never again. Very rude and no compassion.

Standard mid range priced hotel. Pool is small but good condition. The Wi-Fi never worked the entire two day stay. Staff was kind of clueless with service.

The floor had crumbs on it and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The pool was down for maintenance and the hallway smelled weird.

This hotel did not provide a great experience. Everything in the room was musty and dingy, there was food left in the mini fridge left from the previous occupants. The shower had hair left in it and the window wouldn’t stay closed and allowed bugs to come into the room. There was also dog poop in the elevator at one point. Not a very pleasant experience at all.

when we checked in we didn't get the room we ordered because their computers were down. The beds weren't stained and the room was dark and dirty. We didn't end up staying overnight because we were so grossed out. Mold was found in the bathroom. The front desk staff didn't even try to help the situation. Another guess was having problems with their room key. Also with the keys not working we really didn't want to stay there, fear some other guess would come in out room.

This place was less than desirable. There is a demolished hotel in front of the property with garbage/debris even in the wood line behind. Walked up to many outside the entry door smoking pot. Check in was very stiff and formal absolutely no personality. Room was older and somewhat clean but definitely could use an update. Towel was stained with a very large and noticeable blood stain. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room is terrible cleanliness shape. Dust, hair, stains on sheets and comforters, loose tiles.

*Only hotel w no sign light on. *I arrived at the Countryside Inn & Suites after a 6 hour drive with my two hairless terrier dogs (one of which is a service dog) *The worker Insisted on charging me $20 each for my dogs which was NOT mentioned online. He also wanted to charge me for my service dog, I had to prove it and he had to “make a phone call” *The 2nd floor smelled like dope and mothballs. Outside of the elevator doors the trash was overflowing and it smelled like something was dead in it. *My dogs found cookies in the corners of the room and against the walls of the room. Obviously was not cleaned *The bathroom could NOT have been cleaned. There was pubic hair everywhere! Toilet/bathtub.. and there was also poo in the bottom of the toilet amd splashed on sides - that doesn’t happen after it’s scrubbed- same with the stains on the side. I flushed it and some were gone so it wasn’t even flushed! *Urine caked at the bottom of the toilet. Bathtub was so gross there was no way I was going a shower in there. I pulled down the sheet unfortunately, I found a public hair and a long strand of hair and I stopped.. then went to the other side to try to lay down…boom- Dirty bedspread. This place is Totally Outdated! I would t even care as long as it was clean. I choose this place thinking it was way better than some “quality Inn” or motel 6.. well, I’d say it’s the same level, just more money! I just flushed a-lot of money for no sleep or shower!

Worn down, dirty, musty, smoking allowed, butts everywhere. Only decent thing was breakfast but who knows how cleanly it was prepared.

Room was sub par, bedding was all stained.

We arrived to our room late in the evening after an event there were no towels in our room. We had to call a manager to check in. Our room did not look like it had been cleaned. The sheets had stains on them and there was black mold in the bathroom. Would never stay again

The property smelled damp and musty. The bathtub had mold in the caulking. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathtub did not work. The carpets were very dirty. Socks and feet were not clean after walking in the room. Breakfast initially consisted of bread, bagels, and muffins, and well as cereal and juice. After sitting in the breakfast area for abut 20 minutes an associate did come in and put sausage and eggs in the warmers. The rooms did smell fresh.

Stayed for 1 night. The room was clean. Display on thermostat was broken. But overall fine. Room did not have a mini fridge either.

Hotel was out dated but you get what you pay for. There was dirty clothes in the bathroom from previous guest so I’m guessing they didn’t clean it after the previous guest left. Room didn’t have a fridge or microwave. Wouldn’t stay there again.

The rooms were clean and convenient. Staff was mostly helpful. The one thing I noticed was that the mattresses weren't very comfortable and they squeaked. My brother had a room also and he said his were fine so perhaps it was just the room I was in. There also wasn't a good selection of pillows. They were all big and too fluffy but when I laid on them they immediately caved in the middle and I had two puffs on either side of my head.

I went to make a cup of coffee with the in room machine and found it already had liquid in it. I poured it out in the sink and found someone had rerun coffee through it. However, why did the maid service not catch this? I ran three cups of water through the machine to try to clean it out, still getting crud out of it, so I took it down to the desk. Got thanked for bringing it down, but no offer of a replacement. In addition, we are on the third floor and the Internet is intermittent at best. Poor service all around. Should have paid for a more expensive place, but this one was already well over $100.

Faucet leaked, device to adjust temperature didn't work, breakfast wasn't very good.

Staff was courteous enough but after we entered our room we informed the desk clerk that our fridge did not work. He said he would check it out, possibly replace it with another one. When we returned several hours later it was still not operational and there was no follow up.

It was just okay. The room had a wall light that was literally hanging from the wall. I cannot imagine how they couldnt fix this before someone used the room. The toilet seat wasn't put on properly and moved around when you tried to use it.

My check-in was not showing as paid by Experian as my bank statement proved, and I had to prove both check-in and check-out my iPhone bank statements to the staff. I almost didn’t get my room for 45 minutes. I had to prove WITH my bank statement that I paid. I feel my bank statement and my personal information is not safe and secure since I had to show two people who took photo copies and pictures of it off my phone. My bank account debit card was declined because the funds had already been taken out AND I paid an additional amount for insurance which didn’t get applied to this payment to avoid such a problem. I feel I need my bank AND ME to be reimbursed immediately for this inconvenience and humiliation in front of family and a room full of customers. I paid for two nights at a facility in a town where my 96 yr old mother lives, my family was staying to visit my mother who is on hospice and where we were having an interment for my deceased aunt(her sister). Such an inconvenience and disappointment.

The room seemed to be clean, the bed was comfortable, but the staff was unreliable and unresponsive to our request. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash bottles they mounted in the shower for gas were empty. I asked the front desk to fill them, he wrote a note on a piece of paper and said he would give it to housekeeping, but they were never filled. The breakfast was basic continental consisting of bagel cereal toast fruit. Your orange juice machine was out of order so they gave a bottle of orange juice in the refrigerator, I went to the front desk several times during my stay and had to call a phone number to get response.

We so appreciated the gentleman on the evening staff that checked us in. He was friendly, effective efficient and very kind! The check-in was quick and easy, and we were even offered an upgrade which was perfect for our circumstances!!! Thank you!

I was given a room that was already occupied. Charged an “incidental” fee that was not disclosed when making the reservation. When I asked what are the incidentals? she responded: it’s just a way to get more money out of you . They did not have the room I reserved available. Asked for a complementary upgrade.Also had none. Room had a coffee maker but no coffee, cups nor creamer.

I showed up to check in and I was told there was no rooms. Ended sleeping in my car and not being able to shower for the important say I was having.

Booked room, site said 5 rooms available, got to hotel, lady was rude, said they have been booked for days, I asked her how I get my money back, she said not her problem, so now. I check in down the road well after midnight, with my three kids, not happy

Breakfast was fresh

No one is on staff at night. I accidentally locked myself out of my room and no one was at the front desk.

I think there was only one or 2 staff members that were actually nice and sone what friendly I wouldn’t even really say approachable.

The property is poorly maintained. The lobby cleanliness is good when they get to it, just needs it more than they get to it. Room was not clean, we needed to wipe everything down The pool will never be open. The lobby odor is not so good. The windows need cleaned - every one of them. This was reserved because of Expedia rating. Do not think this is an 8 out of 10. It's a 99 dollar a night place at best. I think there are people living here, - not the good kind. The folks working here are the best. They are truly helpful, respectful, and courteous. Genuinely nice people. For an old Hampton property it could be fine, it just misses the mark.

The property is dirty. Customer service is poor. Located across from derelict building. Grounds are unkempt. Formerly a Hampton Inn under new ownership. Would not suggest staying here.

Should have read further into the reviews before booking this hotel for close to $200 a night (not sure what was going on in Jackson, but all hotels were pricey this weekend). Other reviewers experienced same things we observed in the parking lot. Did not even check in due to homeless in parking lot living in vehicle and other observations where we did not feel safe - groups hanging/drinking/blasting profanity filled music right outside entrance. Glad we did not stay here because shortly after 3 police cars showed up in the hotel parking lot due to an incident. Expedia said they will investigate and let me know about a refund. Final decision - Expedia called the hotel and they said it was "safe" so no refund will be given. Just sharing my experience so it may help someone who is not familiar with the area.

The abandoned restaurant in front of the hotel made me question the area. It turned out to be a safe area.

It was clean and located right off the highway. Continental breakfast was good and was hospitable for my dog.

When I saw the reviews, I registered with some trepidation. Fortunately, this was a fine place. First, the hotel is in a very safe area. There are other upper tier (not Super 8) hotels in the area and there is no other foot traffic. the property was well kept and in good condition.

No one at the front desk. I had to dial a number and wait for someone to come register us. Area seems sketchy. People loitering around entrance.

Good value for price. Several hotels in immediate area. A former restaurant next to property is an eye sore with graffiti on abandoned building but that has nothing to do with this hotel other than proximity.

No signage to let you know which hotel it was. Closed, graffiti tagged building in front of hotel.

No sign outside to indicate the property. Mildew smell. No microwave in room. Breakfast was very limited.

The room was clean and beds were comfy. The area was quiet. Although it says breakfast served, there was a sign on the kitchen door saying it wasn’t. There were a few pieces of fruit out, cereal and a couple pieces of bread/bagels. Average at best. Pool wasn’t in service.

The pool was closed for maintenance. Would have canceled reservation if we had known. There was no maid service during our four day stay? Continental breakfast was substandard.

Cons: The qualify of the hotel has gone down since we visited before. Common areas were not clean, for example stairways had old food and dead bugs. There was an overall musty smell (hard to describe exactly). We were disappointed when we checked in to see a sign that the pool was closed as well since the listing advertised the pool as an amenity. For the entire stay it did not appear that anyone was working on the pool, just sitting sad and empty. Pros: One thing we were very happy to see was the new dispensers for the soap, shampoo, etc. in the bathrooms. That is very convenient. All the breakfast staff we encountered were very friendly and they worked the entire time keeping the breakfast items filled for the guests who were dining.

Stayed 2 nights it was quiet everything was clean the hotel manager was very helpful and accommodating me the second night got to keep my same room when I had only booked 1 night to start . Breakfast in the morning was great as well no complaints from me I’d stay again

Pool broken. Breakfast better on weekend. Shower doesn't drain well. Good for a place to sleep.
