Studio 6 Richmond, VA - Airport

Pretty bare bones. No kleenex or hair dryers in rooms.

This is an upgraded Motel 6 and if you are okay with the bare essentials it’s fine. It had a full size fridge and a microwave but no utensils, paper plates or anything else that makes it an extended stay facility. There is no breakfast included and not even a coffee service in the lobby. The shower was very nice and the property is clean, but it is basic.

Stains on sheets, no hot water for shower, was put in an assessable room for some reason and water went everywhere while showering. Has “kitchenette” meaning sink, fridge, microwave and toaster … no plates, cups, silverware, etc so pack own if needed.

My stay was for a brief visit in the area for the July 4th holiday. My stay has been great at the hotel considering the price that I pay which is quite reasonable. I am disappointed that there is no pool or breakfast but it is acceptable. I think that at least coffee shouldn't be that much of a hassle however. Overall, I'm satisfied. The staff is quite nice and accommodating.

New facility. Room very clean. Limited amenities. No hairdryer. No carpet. No shuttle. Excellent value for the money.

This place is very new so the building and rooms are in good order. There were a few outlets in my room that did not work. It was very clean and service was great. Its a very basic hotel, no hair dryers, only 1 ice machine. Primarily housed construction workers.

Not a deal-breaker, but there's no swimming pool here.

Good overnight stay. Comfortable bed, air conditioner worked properly & was quiet. Front desk staff was efficient & friendly. Easy parking. Room lighting & amenities were very good. Some small annoyances were dirty floors, picked up black dirt & crud on my feet, shower sliding door would not stay closed, had to wedge a washcloth in it to keep closed. Towels were small & thin. TP roll kept falling off holder due to holder being angled down. No baggage cart available at check in. We are seniors and cannot slug our bags across parking lots & through hotels. We had a corner room with 2 windows. Both of them looked out over the garbage dumpster for this hotel & the adjacent hotel!

I was initially hesitant to stay at this hotel but all the reviews endorsed the friendly staff and cleanliness. I’m neutral on the staff - nothing great but nothing wrong. The room was really, really dirty though. Like multiple missed opportunities to clean. All surfaces were dusty or dirty. Long, dyed hair on the nightstand. The floor was so bad that I kept my shoes on the whole time. Bed was clean and bathroom was mostly clean (but not the floor). Overall okay stay but so easy to just dust, sweep or dust mop the room.

Beds were comfortable and location felt safe and very close to airport. Cleanliness could be improved, floor was very sticky. I did not appreciate house keeping knocking on my door at 10am to "remind me of checkout at 11". Front desk employees were friendly and helpful.

Spotless! Never stayed in such a clean motel. I know it's partly because it's do new, but hope they're dedicated to keeping it that way!

Floor in entryway was very sticky with black residue on the floor. Asked the front desk if it could be cleaned and was told that housekeeping wouldn’t clean until tomorrow but they may be able to give us “spray.” Found Cheetos wedged between bed and side table. Ice cube tray in freezer is broken. The new construction is nice. Price is very good. FYI- can hear all planes taking off.

Staff were not friendly or helpful. The room was not very clean.

Floors need cleaning. Wipes up a small spill and the napkin came up dirty.

The room smelled like mold and old mop water, there was trash under the bed and on the floor!!

The staff was lovely and the price was great. The room was clean. The lighting and general atmosphere was possibly the least cozy of anywhere I’ve ever stayed.

The best part of my recent stay at this Studio 6 hotel was meeting and talking with Sharon and Carrie at the front desk. They were so warm, friendly and welcoming! The room was clean, my only complaints are the very small bath towels, and the noise in my room from what sounded like someone walking very heavily in the room above mine (it was very loud at night when I was trying to go to sleep, and also woke me up early in the morning).

We arrived to a room that was 79 degrees and a broken thermostat. We went right back downstairs and the front desk guy came up and fiddled with it. We went out came back an hour later and it was still 78 degrees. Came back up to ‘fix’ it. Assured us it would work this time and that there was no other room option an available. It did finally cool off but it took several hours. This is a 2 month old hotel. It was dirty. There were sticky spots of food on the floors near the elevator that were still there the. Ext morning when we checked out. Had the air worked properly, this would have been an okay place to stay for the money and the amount of time that we were there.

The hotel was new so it was very nice..........BUT the TV did not work was told there had been a power outage....also there was no HOT water to shower. I tried twice.

Perfect for 2 tonights. The room was big and the hotel was quiet.

Our room was 213 and it was noisy! I listened to someone get ice for a cooler after we went to bed at 11pm.

The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. I will be back to this hotel if staying in Richmond again.

People were nice,price was nice however, dont expect them to bring fresh towels or sheets daily.trash was over flowing( they gave me a bag to change it myself.

There was no receptionist at the desk when I arrived. I called twice and heard the phone ringing. After about 6-8 minutes someone came from behind a hall door. A second person was waiting as well.

Clean and quiet room great staff.

The staff and service at Studio 6 was excellent!! When we were looking for a place to stay and read all the reviews at first we were dumbfounded with how the reviews were so good and quite possibly the best in the area so we gave it a shot and they were spot on. Staff was great and everything has been renovated and upgraded recently. Rooms were large with the double queen beds, kitchenette, TVs were streaming ready, WIFI, A/C, automatic blinds and very nice bathroom with walk in shower. Pricing through Expedia was excellent and for our quick layover on our way to Myrtle Beach, SC I can’t say enough, 100% recommendations for any stay whether passing through or looking for a place that area and the accommodations in the area are plentiful.

Dear Amy Patel, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to follow up on an issue I faced during my recent stay at Studio 6. Unfortunately, I encountered several inconveniences that I believe warrant attention. During my visit, I discovered that the remote control for the television was missing, and the window shade was inoperable, compromising my privacy. You will notice the cover missing on the wall as well. The desk clerk was apologetic and provided push pins along with a sheet and blanket to cover the window, explaining that the room should not have been made available. That was unacceptable. In addition, rust in the tub. She mentioned that she left a note for you and that I would receive a call regarding this matter, but I have yet to hear back. I have attached pictures for your reference. Given the circumstances, I would like to discuss the possibility of a refund for the inconveniences experienced. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little desire to return in the future, but I hope we can resolve this matter amicably. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Convenient location.

Easy to get to from airport. Able to walk to a mexican restaurant. Seems brand new

The bowl is new, very clean, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately the room was quite noisy, not too sure if we were hearing other people from other rooms. We could hear water running, toilets and showers through the wall. The location was very close to the airport and had a good amount of restaurants nearby.

For some reason the parking lot lights would go out at times. Making it not feel safe

They are able to take great care of us and being only 15 minutes from downtown was so nice to explore Richmond

Super enjoyable experience. Front desk was friendly and helpful, room was big and clean, breakfast buffet was great and there's so much around the area. There's a plaza directly opposite the hotel, Target and Walmart are a 5 and 9 minute drive respectively. Easy recommendation

Price was good for the room. Housekeeping skipped several days which doesn’t bother me related to cleaning, but we had to go exchange our towels at the desk as they were not switch out. Not a big deal but I think it’s reasonable to expect them to at least refresh towels on a 5 night stay. Other than that price was much better than surrounding hotels and the room had microwave and real fridge/freezer and toaster. No dishes except a cutting board and corkscrew.
