The Candlewood Suites rooms are fantastic! They are spacious with a desk and kitchenette. We have stayed at several in the past and this was the first one that we can remember having a huge game room. It was such a nice bonus perk (especially if you are someone who is staying for an extended period of time this provides something else you can do and it was included!). The room was clean but we need to mention the best shower ever! There was plenty of water pressure, hot water and an adjustable head that really made it feel like you were getting a massage. This was one shower that I never wanted to leave. An extra bonus was 4 towels instead of the customary two. I also liked that they had both 'soft' and 'firm' pillows on the beds and they were labeled that way so you could get the exact comfort you wanted. Overall we find Candlewood Suites to be generally pleasant experiences but this one was the best one we found yet. Highly recommended!!

Ill start with the negatives: 1. No pool 2. Doesnt offer King beds (a king would have been icing on the cake) 3. No breakfast 4. Bed is firm ( i prefer softer) but some may love that. We drive back and forth, Florida-Chicago often and thought we’d try a new place to stay. We liked the size of the room. When we checked in I spilled some water on the floor. I grabbed a paper towel and wiped up the water and the towel was super dirty. Went to take a shower that night and the water pressure was terrible. Could hardly rinse the soap off of me. In the morning I thought I’d try again with a shower and this time the water barely dribbled out of the shower head. Pressure was so bad I could hardly rinse off my toothbrush. Far from a nice relaxing stay.

Our room smelled awful. Smelled like animal urine and food. Hallway smelled as well. Mold In grout on bathroom sink. We would have left but there was no vacancy for the night anywhere close and it was very late. Told Front desk in morning and they just said they would check it out. Didn’t seem to Concerned or apologetic. Would never stay here again.

My mother and I were traveling for my uncle's funeral and had drive 6 hours straight to the viewing and then on to the hotel. When we arrived, we were informed that they had "overbooked" and that our room was no longer available. We were assured by a particular unfriendly front desk clerk (Brett) that our entire stay would be covered at a near-by hotel. Once we arrived at that hotel we were informed that Candlewood had said they would only cover one night (although we had already paid for three). The situation escalated until the managers of both hotels had to be in touch. In the end, our payment was transferred, but only as a result of the manager at the new hotel (home2go - which is highly recommended), and after the awful, unprofessional experience at Candlewood. I absolutely do not recommend staying at this facility...or doing so with a back-up plan in mind in case you face the same experience.
