This is a convenient well run guest house in an old and dated building although the bathrooms and dining area are well modernized. Parking is difficult and front facing rooms were almost intolerably hot since I had the good fortune to be in England for the five days when they had summer!!

A last minute Easter overnight stay, which we used a voucher to book through Hotels.com Location was good, right on the seafront. Parking is on street and difficult to find even this early in the season. Audrey was a great host, very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were given an upgrade to a sea view room which was a lovely surprise. The room was lovely and bright with a large balcony. The room needed a little tlc - sockets not working, shelf over sink prohibits you from washing your face… Lovely hot full English breakfast, although obviously a new waitress so service to/from the kitchen was sketchy but I’m sure will improve with experience and a little confidence. All in all a nice little BnB and one we would stay at again!

Nice hotel just off sea front, limited parking, but managed to park on street nearby. You need to pre-order breakfast by 8pm the night before. Breakfast was fantastic, really good quality. Not many places to eat nearby, need to walk along the seafront about 1/2 mile to the area.

Brid and Derek made feel us at home. The room was spotless. Cleanliness is better than any 5* we have stayed in. Their care of each and every guest made everyine feel special. The breakfast was delicious and diverse. We will definitely stay there again. They have great coffee and a guest sitting room to relax. Thank you both for your efforts and care. The hospitality is unique The a location is very convenient for walking into town to enjoy a nice dinner and a walk by the beach. They do almost everything themselves. The superior room we had was excellent in every way. The balcony had a lovely sea view. Good supply of tea's coffee etc. Bathroom was clean with a good shower. The host Audrey was a lovely lady who greeted us when we arrived. Audrey showed us to our room, and even brought us tea. Audrey was so friendly and proffessional. We have stayed in Eastbourne before but this is our first time at the New England and we would not stay anywhere else now. Our welcome from the hosts was so friendly. The whole place from our room to the dining room and lounge was spotless. Huge choice of breakfast menu and nothing was to much trouble. The seafront was across the road we could not have asked for more.

Very clean friendly and well Kept hotel/B&B. Mattress was soft for my taste but no complaints. Breakfast was excellent with great service. Highly recommended and lovely place to stay and I will definitely stay again.

The owner and staff members go out of their way to make sure that all guests feel welcome and cared for. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and been looked after (it's part of a package); but here it feels that it's on a more personal level (not because they have to). Well done to all at The New England.

A last minute Easter overnight stay, which we used a voucher to book through Hotels.com Location was good, right on the seafront. Parking is on street and difficult to find even this early in the season. Audrey was a great host, very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were given an upgrade to a sea view room which was a lovely surprise. The room was lovely and bright with a large balcony. The room needed a little tlc - sockets not working, shelf over sink prohibits you from washing your face… Lovely hot full English breakfast, although obviously a new waitress so service to/from the kitchen was sketchy but I’m sure will improve with experience and a little confidence. All in all a nice little BnB and one we would stay at again!

Nice hotel just off sea front, limited parking, but managed to park on street nearby. You need to pre-order breakfast by 8pm the night before. Breakfast was fantastic, really good quality. Not many places to eat nearby, need to walk along the seafront about 1/2 mile to the area.

Brid and Derek made feel us at home. The room was spotless. Cleanliness is better than any 5* we have stayed in. Their care of each and every guest made everyine feel special. The breakfast was delicious and diverse. We will definitely stay there again. They have great coffee and a guest sitting room to relax. Thank you both for your efforts and care. The hospitality is unique The a location is very convenient for walking into town to enjoy a nice dinner and a walk by the beach. They do almost everything themselves. And when the owners are on top of their business as they are, they certainly give it all they've got.

Surprised the bed wasn’t made up or the bathroom cleaned. Morning breakfast made chef aware I didn’t like runny eggs and to ensure the egg yoke was hard on all of the breakfasts the egg yokes were runny I therefore couldn’t eat them that was disappointing. However everything else was to the highest of standards nice staff

The New England was a lovely hotel, close to local amenities. The hotel was so beautiful with a cosy lounge which was decorated with lovely decor and furniture. The superior room we had was excellent in every way. The balcony had a lovely sea view. Good supply of tea's coffee etc. Bathroom was clean with a good shower. We were lucky with parking, right next door to the accommodation but that can't always be guaranteed... you may have to park a little further away and keep your eye out for on the road spaces nearer to the accommodation becoming free- but you'll only be maybe 50/100 yards away at most
