Crowne Plaza Cleveland Airport

Booked this hotel because it had an airport shuttle but when I checked in their morning shuttle to the airport was full. They only have one shuttle van. Other than that I think the hotel is a good one and I'll probably stay again but will book my airport shuttle a few days in advance.

Staff was very friendly at check in- and in house restaurant staff and food was good. POOL was closed. Appears to have construction inside, and a leak in hallway ceiling so a bucket with water. This place needs some updating! I paid additional $ for breakfast, but apparently their food truck didn’t deliver food. Easy parking for RV and trucks traveling through.

The first room had a bathtub that didn't drain. Was moved to another room, bathtub drained but real slow. Ice machine didn't work on the 5th floor. Ask at the reception if shuttle could take us to the Oktoberfest and pick us up later. Was told they can only drop off. However, breakfast was great.

The shuttle from the airport required more than an hour wait. In freezing temperatures, not fun (advertised every 30 minutes). Bar and restaurant at night had a single person working, so wait times were excessive and one item order could have been cooked longer. only 1 of 3 elevators operational. coffee mess in room did not work. TV limited stations old

No shuttle service available- booked for this reason. Had to pay $60 in taxis and hotel would do nothing to help us. They gave us breakfast vouchers but we had already added to our hotels.cim booking. Hotel was SUPER dated, dirty, and dilapidated. Thought I could trust the Crown Plaza brand but this one was awful.

Staff at front desk upon check in acted like we were disturbing him. No information in regards to our stay. It was an inconvenience for him to check to be sure we were on the list for airport shuttle the following morning. Dumb waiters were in terrible condition. They had 3 elevators with only one working and we were afraid to use it. Smelled like the belts were burning up in it. Whole place could certainly use a facelift.

Only one elevator worked. Pool was closed the whole time. Air conditioning in room was very loud when running

Staff were not helpful. The pool has been closed for weeks. No hot water. Light bulbs missing.

Rooms were clean. Service was great. Kids were bummed the pool was closed.

Breakfast fresh. But pool closed. Would have been nice to know!!!!! Decor a little date but overall nice

There was mold on ceiling in bathroom and soap was empty.

Staff was nice. Hotel was dirty - hair in shower, rusted shower poles, elevator had only one working, toilet paper holder was broken, no sink stopper in bathroom sink, dirt and dust in all of the corners, peeling paint, etc

Toilet seat had a large crack in it, looked dirty and to have been like that for a long while. Trashcans down the middle of the hallways with water and garbage in it. No bulb in bedside table light or the main overhead light. Hair was in the shower like it hadnt been cleaned. Bed was fairly comfortable, but everything else felt dated, dirty, and like the staff didnt really care. Only one of our key cards worked as well.

hotel is out dated, black mold on the walls, fridges dont work. Bathrooms are tiny. lobby restrooms smelled like sewage overflow, only 1 elevator worked and that one was sketchy, had to take the steps most the time. workers were nice

We were not able to check into our room until 10PM because the rooms were not cleaned. We were supposed to wait for a call to tell us when we could check in, that never came. We finally just went to the counter and asked. The pool was closed and we were given no heads up. We booked this hotel strictly because it had a pool. There were dirty linens all over the hallways. There was mold on our wall and what looked like blood spatter on the wall. It was terrible.

Couldnt sleep all night. Smelled like weed. Dirty and outdated. No hand soap. Toilet paper roll was falling off Disappointed.

This place is very outdated. Only one elevator working and it’s very shaky. Waited a long time every time for it. Elevator smelled. They need serious renovations. Not sure why they gave me a handicapped room. They should have gave that to someone who really needed it. The bed made noise with every movement. Bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned and old. No bags were in the garbage cans. They need to replace the shower curtain. Breakfast wasn’t great. I will never come back here.

The room was old and not the cleanest. Curtains and carpet had big stains on them. Curtains off the hooks. Windows were filthy. Did not live up to the ratings

The elevators need fixed. It’s scary to say the least. The TV was so blurry and couldn’t watch anything. It smelled a bit old too. The hotel staff were friendly, that was the only plus.

Room was very poor. Bathroom sink was lose and could easily mover around. Balcony door was warped to where you couldn’t lock it at all. You could clearly see in the room from the gap in the hall door if you peaked.

We paid in advance for a suite. When we got there, they did not have a suite and did not even apologize. We also had to wait at least a half hour for the regular room to be ready even though we got there after 5pm.

It was a very quiet property and I loved that you didn’t hear the doors slam shut!!

The pool is ice cold. Breakfast is not free, so don't make the same mistake that we made. The room did not have shampoo or even hand soap. There was a dirty washcloth stuffed into the cubby next to the toilet. Hotel is very dated. Barely any support from the front desk. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. That's about it.

Likes: shuttle availability, buffet breakfast, dining area staff were great. Dislikes: TV remote and channel selection, no printed TV channel guide, no printed hotel directory, areas of the hotel need maintenance or upgrades.

The beds were comfortable

In general, this hotel is simply not well-kept up. Several aspects of the hotel room were difficult to work, such as the blackout curtain rods and toilet paper dispensers. The air conditioner rattled terribly throughout the night. Caulk in the bathroom was in poor condition, and there was excessive dust in the air vent in the bathroom. Outside of our room, the general upkeep of the hotel was much the same with excessively worn/dirty carpet in the entryway areas, public bathrooms for the common area were constantly missing toilet paper, or the soap dispensers were empty or the locks did not work. The pool was also “out of order” for two out of our three day stay, although we booked our hotel specifically because it had a pool. There was also no notification that the pool had re-opened. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Despite a reservation we tried to check in and they did not have any rooms cleaned and ready @5 pm. Since we weren’t in a hurry and the staff told us it would be approximately an hour before we could check in , we left our number per their request so they could call us when ready . After 3.5 hours waiting they informed us there was no rooms left. We then had to scurry and try to find another hotel. Very disappointing!!!!!

Had a reservation for months. Prepaid. Hotel oversold rooms by tens, if not hundreds. Attempted to check in at 4:00pm and was told I would receive a call around 6:00pm when room was ready. Went to concert my daughter and I drove five hours for, came back to hotel to get room keys, but was told we did not have a room. This not only happened to me. It happened to at least 10 people attempting to check in in front of me and at least that many behind me. Young staff person at the desk would not say anything except the “rooms were locked” and there was nothing he could do. I know IHG properties are cheap and you get what you pay for but, in this event, me and and whole bunch of people didn’t even get that.

Crown has a great front desk crew!! And dinner in the dining hall was great, as was the service. Also, chose this hotel because shuttle service to the airport was provided.

They were terribly understaffed and kept people waiting hours before they could get you checked in. I’ve never seen so many people waiting in a hotel lobby for a room. The staff took your name and phone number and said they would let you know when you could have a room. Also the bathroom was closed so this created more upset people.

I had a reservation for 2 nights. Upon arrival at 7:00 pm there were no clean rooms available. There were a lot of angry people waiting in the lobby for their rooms also. I finally got a room at 9:00 pm. The halls had dirty bedding & towels laying in piles on the floor which were still there in the am. The parking area was a bit of a walk in the dark, with no security. There was only one garbage basket in my room, without a plastic bag, in the bathroom, along with one box of kleenex, also in the bathroom. Also, not a single box of kleenex in the lobby. Getting into a room at 9 pm is unacceptable. They should have offered something to make up for it.

The staff helping us with the situation was great. But we were there for a concert tried to check in at 3 the elevator was broken, one housekeeper I think quit and the other housekeeper was climbing all the stairs to get to rooms. Came back from concert around 12:45 stood in line till 1:30 and decided to leave and drive back. The elevator was still not fixed and still did not have a room they were telling us we would have to walk 3 flights of stairs to get to the room. After we were just at a concert. I have asked for a refund and still have not gotten it and I still have not got my $50 that was on hold for my card.

Hotel could use a remodel and the night reception desk could use more personality. Great location and nice shuttle service plus no parking fee.

Easy access to 71 is nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. My husband enjoyed the coffee in the rooms.

It was a nice stay. The location was great. Plenty of restaurants and gas stations around the area.

The restaurant staff seemed understaffed and unprepared for the traffic of a film festival. Many of the convention rooms and areas had very poor air conditioning, and were quite hot.

Nice breakfast friendly staff

Essentiallly good enough. Pros: SHOWER! Comfortable, breakfast buffet very nice. Restaurant was comfortable and nice. Bed was comfy. Plenty of space. Refrigerator functioning. Coffee maker is kcup ready. Cons: no information at desk or room about location of my room, the restaurant, the pool, and the fitness center. I’m not a question asker, like I don’t want to wait in line just to ask where is the restaurant? The manager desk people were just hanging out. No one offered to help. So I didn’t know if they were employees or not. I wasn’t even told what the pink piece of paper was? The top corner of my curtains was torn or broken. So light was an issue. Breakfast was interesting. The employee and a customer were in a screaming match. Actually. She never greeted me. And I didn’t know if I could order from a menu. Which I didn’t see. Or just get buffet. I was in a time frame so I got food. But that’s when the fray started. It was disturbing. she needed to go get someone else because she was triggered. I found the restaurant the only signage for it I saw was in the elevator! I was on first floor. Other info was the pool location and fitness center. I didn’t want to wander around looking for them. Lastly I had to park on the end. The door into the hotel is not accessible. My room was closer to that door. It was easier to use that door. But I had to navigate stairs. It is hard for me to do stairs. Would I stay here again. Yes,actually over the years I think I have stayed before

Super convenient overnight stay for the airport in cleveland. Restaurant downstairs was adequate and staff was super duper.

Shuttle service was great since we got in so late. Front desk was friendly. Breakfast and service personnel were great. Only 1 elevator was working. Rooms need some updating. We had only gel soap. No regular soap for hands and no hair conditioner.

Room was fine, but two of the three elevators were out of service. Would have been fine, but I felt ill after eating at the hotel restaurant. Probably should have taken the hint that the hotel was fully booked but the restaurant was nearly empty.

Great hotel the bar and the rooms are clean and the restaurant food is amazing
