We loved staying here! The attention to detail here should be expected of every hotel. Nice to see the soaps in the shower with large letters so those of us over 50 can see shampoo/ conditioner/body wash without retrieving our glasses. An available bathmat is a small thing, but showed someone was thinking. The breakfast was excellent …real oatmeal, an assortment of good quality yogurt, fresh fruit, in addition to breakfast proteins and blueberry donuts and breads. The fun stuff was geared to being near the famous Acadia National Park. Think fixings for s’’mores at night outside around a roaring fire , with plenty of chairs; not the usual 4 or so. A heated pool and jacuzzi is always welcome. A make-your-own trail mix bar with nuts, granola, dried fruits and the like to fill up the resealable bags made us smile and were very welcome as we hit the trails. Likewise, the hot apple cider that was available along with afternoon snacks hit the mark. The do-not-disturb sign on our door was responded to with another sign that acknowledged our desire for privacy and gave a number to call if we just desired towels. As a very detail oriented person , I appreciated the thought that went into making the customer experience here so special. Kudos to those responsible…you should give a seminar!

Great place for our 4 night stay. Clean updated rooms, great outdoor play areas for children, pool, and very a nice breakfast. Walkable to downtown but may be far for some and for young children. There is a bus every 15/30 minutes which was excellent. Parking is expensive downtown, especially if staying longer, so the bus is a great option.

Wonderful stay with our family of 7. We walked or took the shuttle to town several times, used the pool and hot tub each afternoon and loved breakfast. I especially enjoyed the coffee station in the morning on the second floor.

Walk to Bar Harbor and conveniently located next to Acadia. Stay here! Hotel is clean and finishes aren’t fancy but are newer and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Amenities include: s’mores by the fire, pool, laundry, create your own trail mix 3 mornings a week, popcorn and a movie 3 nights a week. The breakfast was next level with delicious yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit. A gluten-free area was even offered. We appreciated the option to fill water bottles. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great time at the Acadia Inn. Rooms are clean, staff is excellent. The pool was a nice surprise. There was plenty of options for breakfast. If we didn't feel like walking to town, a free shuttle was available. We will definitely come back to this hidden gem.

All the activities close for the season in mid-October but the trail right out the back and into Acadia National Park stays open and is awesome! Helpful staff allowed early check-in and provided extra blankets on request.

Definitely good for young families - pool, hot tub (early closure), lots of snacks- trail mix, s'mores and popcorn, playground and kid movies at night outside! Location is good- 15 minutes to Acadia, 5 minutes downtown. Bathrooms were not fantastic - mold, toilet was crooked (I don't know why). Staff seemed unhappy but they were helpful. A lot of money - all about location.

Very excellent staff and the breakfast was fabulous. Our room smelled a little musty or damp is the only minor experience. Very wonderful things like popcorn at movie night, hot apple cider, trail mix station 3 days a week and smores every night. Very clean.

Bad smell in stairwells and toilet was not secured to floor with flange bolts. Breakfast had a lot of options and the dining staff was friendly and on top of everything.

The facilities were nice and the bathroom had been updated and was beautiful. But the room itself smelled old and musty, the heater/air conditioner was useless and noisy, no glasses, only paper cups in the room and incredibly noisy. You could hear the people above us all the time. With all the other options in Bar Harbor, I would choose another hotel until they update the bedrooms.

Oh, my, where do I begin? Everything was excellent, the attention to detail-amazing! Fresh flowers everywhere. Rooms- spotless, and up-to-date. Breakfast- amazing and lots of choices. Fruit and cheese in the afternoon, popcorn and movie night, s’mores, DIY trail mix, were such joy to all ages. The backyard, pool, movie area, fire pit, wooded pathway, games for all ages, we’re just added bonuses in staying there. All staff were friendly and fantastic. It was in walking distance or a free shuttle ride to downtown Bar Harbor and extremely close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. I can’t say enough of how wonderful this place is! I would come here again and again.

This place has very friendly service. Good activities. Snacks at night and great breakfast. The rooms and entire hotel is very clean. No microwave in the room. Pillows were not great. For the price I would expect better pillows. And they have 4 pictures that they use over and over throughout the hotel. I would have liked more variety since the area is so beautiful

Overall this was a great experience. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were clean. There were two minor issues (nothing that would keep me from going again or recommend it): 1) could hear loudly the people above us walking around 2) the air-conditioning unit was loud when it started and woke me up the first night until i got used to it

I could literally hear people walking above. Also.i could hear if someone started their shower in their own room. This can be improved. This led to spoil my sleep at night.

We LOVED our stay here! Checking in was super quick and the staff were so kind. My one year old was tired from our drive so he was a little cranky and they offered him a little stuffed raccoon toy and cookies which cheered him (and me) up. The breakfast employees were also very nice and my son loved interacting with them. The rooms were clean with plenty of amenities. I loved having the bath and body aromatherapy products available! There was a playground that my son loved and a trail behind the hotel. They also had drink and snack machines. The breakfast was great with plenty of options. There are a few things I’d make note of. There are only two washers and two dryers available in the basement of the hotel to use, which was tough because so many people wanted to use them at the same time. They each cost two dollars per cycle. The front desk sells detergent for $.50 which is convenient. The bedrooms don’t have a set of sheer curtains like many hotels to allow light but also some privacy, so we kept all of the curtains closed most of the time. There isn’t a microwave in the room. Our tub also did not hold bath water which was tough with a toddler. Overall, our stay was lovely and we would definitely stay again!

Cute place to stay, lots of nice extras (smores at fire pit, cookies in afternoon) nice staff, 1 mile walk to town and on shuttlebus route. Only issue was squeaky floors, could hear people moving around above us (we were on 2nd floor) from 6am. Would stay again but request to be on 3rd floor.

Location was great, clean facilities, breakfast was fair but decent. The only negative about this place was the walls were thin as you could hear footsteps and toilet flushing above us. The heating system in the room is loud when it turns on during the night.

Acadia Inn was great! The staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and wide, and the free breakfast was delicious. My husband accidentally left his leather jacket in the closet the morning of check-out only to realize after we had arrived in Quebec. When we called the Inn the next day inquiring about it they assured us it was found and can be mailed to our home in PA free of charge. It was so nice of them to offer and we really appreciate it. Thank you Acadia Inn!

Grumpy guy on initial check in but no problems after with other staff who were very helpful. Decent breakfast. Very busy but good place to stay. Free buses from hotel door into town and several other places. Not too far to walk into town either. Parking in town is a nightmare so previous 2 options much preferred

The staff was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always taking care of their guests. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Included breakfast was good, better than we expected. Location was great. Not right in town but close to town and Acadia NP. Would definitely stay here again.
The staff was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and always taking care of their guests. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Included breakfast was good, better than we expected. Location was great. Not right in town but close to town and Acadia NP. Would definitely stay here again.

Acadia inn, I would give 10 on 10 to the awesome staff. We were Greeted by two awesome people at front desk Rushana she was super courteous so well informed, helped us with the surrounding areas also helped us plan our itinerary and gave us some fabulous suggestions. Miles was also one awesome person we met and same great service with a smile Rannique is the one we met on our 2nd last day and she did not dissappoint either.my wife had a sprain on ankle and two wonderful front desk staff were so helpful for the ice pack. Rooms were nice spacious Hope you never deteriorate the quality and people in your hotel . Once again Rushana and Miles were fabulous

We absolutely loved our stay at the Acadia Inn. From check in to check out, the service was wonderful. We ordered the extra Kids Kampout package, which included a small tent and stuffed animal in the room for our kids, which they LOVED. The hotel gave us an extra stuffed animal at that both kids could have a special keepsake. We used the pool one evening, which was very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and s'mores every night. Breakfast was excellent with tons of options to ensure everyone found something they would like. We enjoyed the walking trail behind the hotel, which connected to the Acadia carriage roads. The shuttle into town was very convenient. We had an issue once evening with loud upstairs neighbors, and the front desk handled it very quickly. If we ever get back to Bar Harbor (hopefully), we will definitely come back to The Acadia Inn!

This is a great place to stay for Bar Harbor, they are on the route of the island Explorer bus system so you can get a ride to downtown. It was clean, bright, no complaints whatsoever.

The room was clean and updated. We travelled with 3 teens, and there was enough floor space for one to use the inflatable bed mat. Breakfast and trail mix were great. Seemed to have many on-site activities planned too! The shuttle to Bar Harbor was a great perk!

We had a great stay at the Acadia Inn! The location is great being only a 25-minute walk into town and a 15-minute drive from Acadia National Park. The hotel staff could not be nicer, and the property was well kept and cleaned and full of fun amenities like a pool, hot tub, included breakfast, smores and firepit some evenings, make your own trail mix some mornings, etc. If you are going to Acadia/Bar Harbor, I highly recommend the Acadia Inn!

We enjoyed being able to walk from trail at back of property to the carriage road trails in Acadia. Enjoyed having a cup of hot apple cider and a cookie after a day of hiking in Acadia. S’mores and bonfire were nice amenities. Having the island Explorer bus come right to The Acadia for pickup and drop off was a nice benefit as well when we opted not to drive into the park. Parking in the park was definitely an issue in the popular areas. Even though we didn’t attend the bingo and movie nights, we felt those were nice amenities to add value to your stay.

Our 2 night stay at Acadia Inn was more than what we expected. It is located within a close drive from Acadia National Park. The staff was friendly and courteous, rooms were clean and spacious, morning breakfast had a lot of options for everyone in the family. We loved staying here! The attention to detail here should be expected of every hotel. Nice to see the soaps in the shower with large letters so those of us over 50 can see shampoo/ conditioner/body wash without retrieving our glasses. An available bathmat is a small thing, but showed someone was thinking. The breakfast was excellent …real oatmeal, an assortment of good quality yogurt, fresh fruit, in addition to breakfast proteins and blueberry donuts and breads. The fun stuff was geared to being near the famous Acadia National Park. Think fixings for s’’mores at night outside around a roaring fire , with plenty of chairs; not the usual 4 or so. A heated pool and jacuzzi is always welcome. A make-your-own trail mix bar with nuts, granola, dried fruits and the like to fill up the resealable bags made us smile and were very welcome as we hit the trails. Likewise, the hot apple cider that was available along with afternoon snacks hit the mark. The do-not-disturb sign on our door was responded to with another sign that acknowledged our desire for privacy and gave a number to call if we just desired towels. As a very detail oriented person , I appreciated the thought that went into making the customer experience here so special. Kudos to those responsible…you should give a seminar!

The hotel is well situated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were not impressed by the breakfast options, the service area is very cramped when it is busy. The use of disposable plates, cups, cutlery etc gives the feeling of camping rather than a hotel stay however this appears to be common practice in the US unfortunately.

Oh, my, where do I begin? Everything was excellent, the attention to detail-amazing! Fresh flowers everywhere. Rooms- spotless, and up-to-date. Breakfast- amazing and lots of choices. Fruit and cheese in the afternoon, popcorn and movie night, s’mores, DIY trail mix, were such joy to all ages. The backyard, pool, movie area, fire pit, wooded pathway, games for all ages, we’re just added bonuses in staying there. All staff were friendly and fantastic. It was in walking distance or a free shuttle ride to downtown Bar Harbor and extremely close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. I can’t say enough of how wonderful this place is! I would come here again and again.

We travel a lot and Acadia Inn by far is the best hotel we have stayed based on location, friendly staff, amenities, etc. So much provided - trail mix, infused water, water filling station, hiking trail at the rear of property, bus stops right at hotel, etc. Highly recommended!

This hotel was perfect for my family's stay in Bar Harbor. It was equipped with great amenities for my 6 year old, even on rainy days when he couldn't enjoy being outside. If we return to the area, this is the only hotel I'd consider in traveling with a small child. The staff was great too! They weren't just helpful. They were genuinely friendly!

What a great spot this was. My husband and I spent two days in Bar Harbor and stayed at the Acadia Inn. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nightly family oriented activities. Walkable to BH downtown, but there is also a free bus service. Overall, I highly recommend and would stay again. Nothing bad to say about this place.
