This Hyatt is nice overall. I think that it is a very traveled hotel and the staff is a low ratio to the amount of guests this hotel accommodates. It is also misleading about the bar and restaurant. There is no restaurant here. You can get a very very small selection of food items. They do have a bar area where you can get wine and beer. But it is really nothing more than a typical market in most hotels. That felt a little disappointing so I just wanna help people realize that with my review.

clean. nice. breakfast burritos were excellent. used the exercise room and peloton bike in particular. was glad I saw picture online showing that the bike had clipless pedals and brought the proper shoes. But, I'd suggest getting pedals with clips and it would get more use.

The room was as expected, other than the beds were double size rather than a traditional queen. The gym facilities were a wreck however: one of two treadmills out of order, no water and the AC wasn’t functioning properly so the room was sweltering.

Staff was very friendly and room was huge. Breakfast was OK a little lacking. Pool was very dirty. Room and hotel were dated and offered no bathroom amenities. You have to pay $9 a night to self park in their unsecured parking lot. I would stay somewhere else next time.

We had an easy, quick check in. Overall, the room was nice however we noticed the morning after our stay there were lots of little ants all over the room. My son slept on the pull out sofa and the mattress was kind of uncomfortable. The breakfast was good and had lots of options. The gym equipment was nice, however there were no towels and the water bubbler was empty. We did let the front desk staff know about the ant issue and they were very apologetic and offered us Hyatt points towards a future visit.

It is unfortunate that I can not give a very good review of Hyatt Place Richmond/ Arboretum. From the front sliding door that squeals as it opens and closes, to the ugs that appear as if it been far to long since it's last shampoo. At first my room 504 appeared clean until I spent more time there with the lights on and then I started to noticed what was and wasn't cleaned or dusted. The switch on the bedside light did not work. So I had to unplug it. The pressure of the shower was non-existant. In other words, if you don’t stand directly under the shower head, you woukd not get wet. I was there for four night and no one ever came into my room to make tge bed, change the sheets or empty the trash. As building policy posted in the elevator. Now for the breafast. Nope, don't do it. The sausage, and eggs are very well over cooked. You're better off eating somewhere else, as I did.

The front desk personnel were kind, attentive, and check in was a breeze. outside grounds are well maintained, though I do agree with other reviews that the carpets in this location are due for an upgrade. With the traffic hotels see though, it’s a negligible offense. Breakfast in the morning was top notch. I was incredibly pleased with the availability of oat milk among the beverage choices – this is the first hotel I’ve seen with it! The coffee is delicious, the fruit is fresh, and the buffet is well maintained. The room was well kept, and smelled wonderful. The A/C blew cold, the shower poured hot, and the mini coffee maker worked well. Plus the fridge worked! Too often we have been in rooms where the fridge didn’t work. The beds are firm, the pillows feel like clouds, and the couch is acceptable. The couch DOES pull out, but it hadn’t been cleaned. There was a half empty wallet underneath, as well as dirt and crumbs underneath the cushions as soon as you lifted them off. The cover on top of the mattress that protects it from rips was covered in crumbs, dirt, and hair. Obviously it’s not been removed and washed. The shelf where the fridge was is dusty and has not been wiped down either. There also isn’t a microwave in the room! There is now an $8 a day parking fee as well. Next door’s hotel still offers free parking. The bathroom was also caked in dust in the corners, though the toilet and shower were clean. All in all, I would absolutely choose this hotel again.

The waking. Entering the parking lot the night of the reservation greeted with multiple large QSR signs to scan to pay to park or face the consequences. Entering the lobby (this was in the evening) found a line to check in which was taking some time due to guest with check in problems. While waiting enjoyed the multiple large QSR signs to ensure you paid for parking. At check in found the $8.00 parking was actually $9.00. Entering the room greeting with a musty odor, old unclean carpeting, and a rather large stain of unknown origin on the sofa. Avoiding the sofa sat on the desk chair and was greeted with a very nasty odor coming from the chair cushion. Room dimly lit which helped hide the lack of cleanliness. Bathroom sink had no stopper so enjoyed the inside view of the sink plumbing while hoping nothing was dropped into the basin as it would be lost down the drain. Woke up to the best surprise of all live BEDBUG in the sheets which I squashed and found it full of blood ! I won't even detail the breakfast let's just say at 08:30 both regular coffee urns were empty. That speaks to the rest of the breakfast. On check out I provided the staff with the bedbug I collected sealed in a plastic bag. They did not want to touch it, I slept with it. I asked for the manager and was amused to find the manager does not start till 10 am- most likely to avoid having to deal with guest complaints. Now busy dealing with procedures to prevent bedbugs from entering my car and home.

Loved the room layout with a couch in one area and the bed in another. Lots of room. Furniture is a little dated but comfortable. Hot water took forever to get barely warm. And bathroom is very small. Breakfast was just ok. Not very quick about bringing things out. Had to ask for several items. All in all I enjoyed my stay here.

It was just ok. Room was a “suite” but it was really a small studio. Very small bathroom. Like the kind where you have to dance around the toilet just to shut the door. Air conditioning worked great though.

For our stay of only 1 night I\'d say the place needs to invest a bit into modernization, cleaning and repair. Couch stains, dirty grouting/caulk and less than stellar carpet is what greeted us in our room. I personally do not believe that hotels should be allowed to advertise king beds when they do not offer standard king size beds and the mattress quality was poor at best with the "fitted" sheets coming off the corners as soon as we crawled in. While listed in amenities, no microwave was in our room and the bathroom was not large enough to close the door without straddling the toilet to do so. Check in was smooth and the lobby clean/pleasant, however when staying in a hotel it is the room that actually matters.

Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The King Bed room was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The entire facility was well-kept and exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to the hotel agent who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Not only was her service professional and welcoming, but she also helped me find a great nail salon nearby for a pedicure, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!

Our room was walked into twice by staff without anyone knocking. They claimed both times our room was marked as unoccupied. We have 3 children with us. Very unsafe. Also, the breakfast had limited selections compared to the pictures shown. Paying for parking on the hotel's property is also ridiculous.

Third time staying here. Not as impressed this visit. Front desk staff member wasn't helpful when I requested assistance w a malfunctioning tv remote or buying movie on tv. Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The King Bed room was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The entire facility was well-kept and exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to the hotel agent who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Not only was her service professional and welcoming, but she also helped me find a great nail salon nearby for a pedicure, which I truly appreciated. I tried checking in at 430. I told front desk i have a 6pm meeting. Room not ready was told to sit outside because of paint fumes. At that time i was the only guest there. I watch two couples check in before me. It was after 5 and I did not get king size bed because none was ready. I am 6'5 and I was placed in a room with a double, thats not what i paid for. I was late for my meeting. I was suppose to be there until Sunday. I checked out Saturday morning at 10:00am because of my frustration. I was not asked why was checking out early. Was not asked how was my stay. This was just a horrible experience. I was not reimbursed for the night I did not stay. I Would like a refund as that room was available for rental on Sunday.

This Hyatt is nice overall. I think that it is a very traveled hotel and the staff is a low ratio to the amount of guests this hotel accommodates. It is also misleading about the bar and restaurant. There is no restaurant here. You can get a very very small selection of food items. They do have a bar area where you can get wine and beer. But it is really nothing more than a typical market in most hotels. That felt a little disappointing so I just wanna help people realize that with my review.

Check in was weird. The young man at the counter spoke in a very low voice and mumbled a LOT! It was very difficult to understand him. Parking fee is $9 per day, which is crazy for the location. Breakfast was horrible! Starts at 6:30am, but the hot food wasnt set out til 7:30. The set up looked trashy. I'm assuming you were understaffed, because everything was out. We chose not to eat because it looked like an unsanitary, disorganized mess. So we just wanted some coffee. There was less than 1/4 cup between the TWO urns. Only decaf available. Food spilled remained on the counter in front of the serving trays. Sometimes the trash bins were full.
