Motel 6-Reno, NV - Livestock Events Center

Booking through 3rd party and having stayed at this location before, I didn’t think to look at the most recent reviews and wish I had. The pool was closed and the wifi didn’t work at all.

What I really liked was that it was right off the freeway didn’t have to go looking in the town for the motel. Not enough parking at all .

Room was great. Noise on street though. Sometimes excessive exhaust noise from inconsiderate drivers. Hard to find parking at times.

One of the first floor room and I got one, but the TV didn’t work. They couldn’t get it to work. I had to twist the arm of the front desk to get a new room on the second floor. It’s noisy the doors don’t seal well the refrigerator door didn’t seal. The bed wasn’t very good. The pool was green, which was unfortunate as I really wanted to take a swim after a long hot drive because of the poor construction, it’s very loud at night not to mention the lights outside the room made it impossible to darken the room. should’ve paid the extra $30 for a better hotel and a free breakfast

The small room had two double beds in it both shoved up against the walls with barely a foot to get in between the beds. Microwave flamed out with anything you put in it and the shower had water draining out the light inside of it. Towels were a joke, thin and small. A/C heater only blew cool air no heat. The tv worked though. Couldn’t wait to leave. Pool was a mess and the grounds outside needed a good cleaning . Price was cheap though so I guess you get what you pay for.

Room smelled a bit like wet dog and the pool was open, but a greenish color (august). No shampoo and shower was rather old. Fine for a cheap place I guess

This motel 6 is definitely one of the better ones I've stayed at. Conveniently located close to the row, friendly staff. They allow pets and have designated potty areas. Property is safe at night and well lit

This place sucks. Their pool has been closed for 2 months, yet they advertise having it. The WIFI is useless.

Roches in the room sheets are not clean also had strong cigarette smells wouldn’t recommend

They have and are aware of a bug infestation at there property. Not clean(dead bugs all round the windows)

The room was very clean and looked nice. The shower was kind of small and had low water pressure, but it was perfect for what we needed for our stay in Reno.

Floors were not clean. Anything white that touched the floor came up black and brown. I also booked a non smoking room, which reaked heavily of cigarettes. Staff was very very nice and accommodating.

The staff was amazing. Super friendly. However the room itself was a little sad. It’s very clear they don’t even mop the floors. Within two seconds of taking my shoes off my feet were black from the filth and I’d have to brush off dirt/dust constantly. The WiFi also did not work in the room I was staying in. I had to walk outside towards the office in order to get it to work. It’s also not the best part of town and has a lot of…questionable characters. So if you’re looking for somewhere to stay to rest and feel comfortable for the night on a long road trip I would not recommend.

We found cockroaches in our room after the first night. The desk clerk was less than helpful, the manager did switch us rooms. They wouldn’t refund my money for 14 days so I was stuck there. The beds were kinda hard. The room they switched us to didn’t have proper air containing & apparently the shower leaked to downstairs. We never saw house keeping in the 3 nights we stayed there, even after asking for more towels. There is also construction happening right across the street & it is very noisy.

My door had been kicked in previous to my stay and was not fixed properly. I talked to a person in a neighboring unit, and their door was also kicked in. Random people kept trying to open the door on multiple occasions thruout the 3 days i was staying. Plug in covers were missing with exposed wiring. When i was packing up at 9:45 am my door cards stopped working to unlock the door and as i finished packing i noticed a couple few roaches.

Was put into a room that had bed bugs, did not no so until the 3rd day when i woke up with 30 bites on my body, from heal to face. The next room they put me in was also the same but no where near as bad as the first

The room was very clean and the linens were also very nice and without any stains. Absolutely no issues very pleased.

The big grip was beds were the WORST I have ever been on.Bedspread was iffy.There was plenty of toilet paper,but no kleenex ,shampoo/cond.,hair dryer.I guess not exactly essential.Staff friendly,got fresh towels.

No chance I would stay here again. Cons: There's no WiFi (or rather, you can only pick it up from *right* in front of the office) and when I asked to move rooms to be closer to the router, they were just like, "no." This resulted in me having to spend $25 TWICE over two days to upgrade my phone's data package so I could take my work Zoom calls. I would have rather spent that $50 on a better hotel with actual WiFi. They say it's non-smoking but the entire room smelled reminiscent of smoke. The showers are WILDLY small, and the TV had so much static it was unwatchable. Pros: there's laundry on site, and it's close to downtown. That's literally it.

Good room for Simple and quick travel. Parking lot is a bit nosy with huge trucks or cars with sound systems, booming. Limited or no Wi-Fi in my room due to location of the building. Couldn’t use my Netflix.

Pros: Room was clean. Parking was free. Cons: One bed mattress had springs protruding so we had to share a bed. The shower is small. I’m 5’5 120lbs and felt crammed in. It also has an odd design that left water all over the floor. Insulation is poor and you could hear passing traffic and other guests in the walkways.

Room was clean and looked modern which is nice. My only complain is that the water pressure on the shower in my room was so weak.

This property was conveniently located right off the highway which was great and pet friendly! The staff were polite, friendly and accommodating! The room was clean which was great! However, you could hear every word of people walking outside the door and the doors had zero weather stripping allowing for a draft and light coming into the room from around the door. This caused the very noisy heater/AC unit to kick in every 10 minutes all night long leaving me poorly rested for my 9 hour drive the next morning.

it would have been nice if it wasn't for the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, & we had the choice of either of the 2 beds in our room. We couldn't find anywhere to lay down without feeling the springs throughout the entire mattress pressing right through the fabric into our skin. Therefore we wound up with circular marks & in some spots we even had bruises on our body's!

Over the past 38 years, I've stayed in hundreds of motels and hotels — and Motel 6 Livestock is, without a doubt, the worst of them all. The bed was absolutely terrible — you can feel the coils through the mattress, with no back support whatsoever. It was so hard and uncomfortable that I kept tossing and turning all night, waking up with a sore back. I paid $181 for what felt like the worst bed in the world. Frankly, the CEO of Motel 6 should be embarrassed. This place is not worth a fraction of that price. Do yourself a favor — do not stay here. If you value your sleep, go elsewhere. And if that wasn’t enough, the toilet is ridiculously low to the ground, making it uncomfortable to use, and the water pressure is so weak that it takes forever to flush properly. What a dumpster this place is!!

So this is one of the rare motel6 that require a deposit if using a card. It took over a week to get my deposit wven though i was told it would be the next day. So when i stayed therr i waited a couple of days to contact them. Then she told it should be there by monday. On monday when it wasnt there i called again to find it handed even file for a return so it still another 3 days after that. The office in there is just liars

We asked for housekeeping twice and they never came to clean up. Honestly very disappointing. We had to ask for towels many times since they didn’t clean. Door looked like it had been busted down felt unsafe.Broken toilet seat as well. And the fire alarm kept going off randomly every single day.

Unfortunately, I will NEVER stay here again. The night staff was very inappropriate. We arrived after hours & direction stated to go to window. We knocked for a LOOOng time & I believe we woke the desk staff & he appeared from a back office with his pant below his butt. (Never tugging up in any way) Finally got a key & then the hassle of finding parking??? We circled the hotel over 3 times before finding a parking spot which ended up being on the opposite side of property. 5 minutes later we got to our room. Very basis. Corner shower with curtain that's not wide enough to close. Beds were HARD. Room was for 84 YO Mother & 60 YO daughter as we were traveling to family that just lost husband in California.

I have not received my $50 deposit back

I was charged by hotels.com then I was charged by motel six so I’ve been charged double. I shouldn’t have to make a single phone call and look where and who to get a hold of rectify this.

Mostly, the staff required a $50 deposit and when paying, never return the deposit. We had two rooms in our party and they did this both times.

Leslie, the person who checked me it did not have a clue ! Apparently gave away my room, I showed her my confirmation …. She said she had nothing available and they’d called me when they had a room. when I did get finally get my room. It did not have the refrigerator microwave however it was clean. the next day I left early. I got a phone call at 7:20 pm that my things were in the office Because I was supposed to check out 11. Not OK! They moved my things out of the room and did not call me till 7 PM. My reservation was for two nights. She also charged me $150 to have a room For the night. I explained to her that I already paid through you guys for two nights. I also have around $50 worth of food that went bad. It was supposed to go in the refrigerator that I did not get. I will be contacting Motel 6 corporate as well. I expect a full refund.

Affordable and convenient location

Close to the airport. Easy on and off local freeways and roads. Served its purpose.

I tend to review Motel 6 sites against other Motel 6's, and other budget motels. I mean, it is what its...Motel 6. LOL! On a prior stay here, I'd decided not to return. My room was missing the smoke detector, phone, and TV. The door was broken and I kept getting locked out. But reviews were pretty good this time, and I was just staying 1 night. So the grounds are lovely. I had a dog and there are plenty of spots for potty walks. I was there for a dog show at the Livestock Event Center...it's so convenient...just down the street. Now this is Nevada, and it's a Motel 6, so there were some working girls and boys. They went about their business quietly and discreetly. But if you have kids, be aware of that. The room was problematic. I know the place has been renovated, but it looked like my room had been flooded at some point. The flooring was completely coming loose. There were spots they'd tried repairing by screwing the planks down, but IMO, it's a trip hazard. Beyond that, it was a good stay with lovely staff.

If you’re familiar with Reno, you might know that this motel is in, not the worst, but definitely not the best area. There are often transients and obvious people on drugs milling about. However, the motel seems fairly safe, the staff is nice, and the price is decent. My only gripe is that the lights are so bright at night that it looks like daylight! It was super difficult to sleep.

This motel is conveniently located off of I-80 and near the airport, we only stay one night, room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable

Staff waa more than courteous with regards to making last minute adjustments, requests, etc. Not really the place to stay with respects to dining out or if you plan on doing any shopping for souvenirs, etc. You need your own vehichle to stay here.
