Huge crater pot holes all over the parking lot for a start. Then there's this fowl musky smell that only intensifies as you walk up the creepy stairwell with a flickering light...and the smell only got worse once on the 2nd floor. I should've just turned around right then but my curiosity had the best of me, so I continued to room 201. The room smelled worse than the hallway and was being held together by scotch tape. Lots of drug activity evidence also...super old mattresses wrapped in plastic...I didn't even put my bags down. No way. Took a video and left to go ask for a refund to be told the MANAGER has to approve refunds. What a joke. Stay away from this place....even if everything else is sold out. You're better off sleeping in a truck lot off of the turnpike somewhere. Pretty sure there might be black mold in the vent in the lobby too.

The outside was looking very scary someone had shorts handing out the window the room was very dirty there was black mold on the ceiling in the shower there was a pill on the floor in th closet there was no iron no blow dryer the room was very dirty no clock to tell time was hard to use key tag to get in the room was the worst stay of my life look like something out of a scary movie! There was some brown stuff on the toilet tissue there was blue stuff on the towels honing to reach out for a full refund

The picture online are not this hotel . This is the worst and scariest hotel I have ever stayed in. Not only did they do bait and switch with the photos, the outside doors did not lock and were propped open so anyone could come in. There is not a workout area. There was black mold on our air conditioning unit. Granted the whole city of Cleveland was booked but this place needs to be condemned. The parking lot also had pot holes the size of swimming pools

Hotel smells terrible. Overall condition is very bad. Needs a complete remodel. Junk piled up behind reception desk. Hallways are dark and depressing. But bed was comfortable and front desk staff were kind.

Pictures online are very deceptive. Building is not clean, and all fooring is sticky and uneven. Another guest had a dirty toilet, our walk down the hall toward our room was filthy. Our key did not work and the desk was no help. Housekeeping cart just outside the room we never got into looked like it had not moved in weeks.

Deep potholes in parking lot; no lights outside or even at the doorway entrance. mattresses stacked in the hallway; junk overflowing from closets into the hall; furniture in room mismatched - looks they shopped at garage sales. no signs for entrance or parking- place looks like it is about to be torn down.

The first room (101) had wires coming out of the wall, the smoke alarm was hanging off the wall woth wores hanging out, the dresser was broken, bathroom door would not close, and the ceiling looked like it was about to come down. The second room (102) had roaches crawling on the TV, the floor, and the wall by the by headboard; and an old AC unit. Both rooms had damp carpets and did not feel clean at all. Checked out a few hours later, could not take it anymore. So gross!

I truly have never been to a worse hotel in my entire life. It was the dirtiest, most dilapidated hotel I’ve ever been to. The pictures online made it look a bit dated, but seeing it in person was so much worse than I could have imagined. It was incredibly rundown in the common areas when I first arrived, but I still wasn’t prepared for the room itself. When I walked into the room, I immediately noticed that wall paint was peeling and the lights flickered on and off. The bathroom had water on the floor. Then I had the pleasure of finding vomit next to the bed, which was the final straw for me. I was in that room for less than 20 min before I informed the front desk I could not stay there, and left. It was an absolute nightmare.

This is a rating for the Days Inn. We actually ended up staying at the travel lodge across the street, because the original hotel booked at was so filthy that we wanted our money back. The guy at the check-in was very nice of him and told us about the travel lodge across the street which is the same company. We stayed there it was much better and the girl at the check-in was lovely.

Worst hotel experience to date. Hotel was outdated and quite dirty. I didnt expect much going into the stay, We debated getting another hotel but decided to stay... BIG MISTAKE. We got woken up at 4:00 am to being itchy.. turned on the lights and found that we were being bitten by bed bugs. When we notifed the hotel staff they said that they would write a note to the manager, but he could not refund us at that time and for us to call back after 1:00 pm. He never once apologized and seemed as though this wasn't anything new for them.. After spending all day decontaminating ourselves and our belongings on little to no rest, we began trying to contact the hotel as we were instructed to do. The hotel phone number that was provided to us rings and rings with no answer or available voicemail option. TRAVELERS BEWARE!!

front desk receptionist had children behind the counter, work area behind the front desk was completely cluttered and unclean, black mold coming out of air vents, TV in room did not turn on, bed sheets were stained, toilet paper was out, spiders living in the windowsill, the hallway and room we stayed in smelled like old cigarette and marijuana smoke even though we got a non-smokers room, and the room we stayed in looked nothing like the pictures displayed online

The room was clean. The first room we had the TV would not work so we were moved to a second room where we were able to get the TV to work. The key card reader was missing and there was a door knob that could only be locked on the inside of room with no way to get back in if locked on way out. Bed was comfortable and clean. This was the worst hotel that i have ever stayed in. My room wasn't ready until 2 hours after check in time. The key card reader was broken and we couldn't get in the room. Every time we arrived back at the hotel they would physically need to let us in with a key. There were bugs in the room. Not all of the lights worked. The water in the shower was cold. Potholes in the parking lot. Hallway lights flickering like a scary movie. Overall my worst hotel experience.

Locks on the doors were terrible. Had to reload the key at least a dozen times over the weekend. WiFi was basically nonexistent. Never cleaned the room or replaced towels. Bed was supposed to be a queen, but was a double at best, with my feet hanging over the end. Room had an unpleasant smell, had to go to the store to get Febreze to deal with it. Parking lot had a number of large potholes. Was only there because rooms were scarce or overpriced for the eclipse. Would not stay there again.

This place was a disaster . Started with unfriendly staff at check in. The room was filthy. Stains on the bedspread, rips in the blanket on the bed, dirt in the shower. We had one towel and washcloth for two people . The tv didn’t work, there was duct tape on the lock on the door, no trashcan, someone’s lighter on the floor and the shower didn’t drain. STAY AWAY!

Utterly disgusting. The bathroom is sized for children. My car is larger than that bathroom. WiFi barely reaches and constantly disappears and the tv doesn’t work. Also had to ask for toilet paper. The desk is so high that you can’t see the person on the other side.

Was alright. A get what you pay for place. It was a place to sleep. I appreciated the sweet staff. Both day and night staff were professional and polite. Hotel was a little dingy, and not like pictured, but again you get what you pay for. The pot holes in the parking area were a little sketchy though . But outside of that was an okay stay.

Very run down. Ripped curtain, no towel rack, no toilet paper holder. One towel. Bed had stains and dirt underneath. Everything was threadbare and no ice bucket. Pot holes in the parking area. Door was hard to open with the key. Outlets did not work. Tub was stained. Probably the worse hotel we have ever stayed in. At first staff was grumpy and rude, but by the third day were nicer.

The man who checked me and my boyfriend in at the front desk yelled at his coworker for telling us to wait for his relief to figure out our room. The problem was absolutely fixable, we just needed to reach out to Expedia to handle it instead of the hotel. Instead of telling us that, the older hotel employee told us we needed to leave and repeatedly said “never book a room in the middle of the night like that.” Obviously, if someone is booking a hotel after midnight, it was probably not a favorable or planned situation. I hope they do something about this employees treatment of customers considering how rude and unprofessional he was.

This place needs some serious restructing ASAP! Lemme list everything wrong: -the parking lot is full of deep ass potholes! -the remote for the small ass TV did nothing but turn it on and off. Could not select any channels at all -the bathtub looked old, looked like it had been cleaned but years and years of use there was still some dirt in the tub -when I arrived for check in, no one was at the desk. I had to look for the person for about 5 minutes. Come to find out they were the only person on the clock.this told me she was spread too thin. -breakfast virtually non-existent. Chatting with the employee during the checkin was efficient and they had a good sense of humor. This was the only pleasant part of my stay. While the price was cheap (guess I got what I paid for), I will not stay there ever again and I don't recommend this place at all.

I liked the proximity of the hotel to my reason for being in Lakewood. The surrounding neighborhood was also nice. The parking lot is easy to miss, and there were very large potholes throughout. There is no elevator, which wasnt a big deal, but the stairwell smelled disgusting. Our room was clean enough, in that the bedding seemed fine, but the room and bathroom were just okay. Not really clean but not completely disgusting. Overall, for 1 night, it was fine. The A/C worked thankfully. Someone also smoked weed during our entire stay and its all you could smell. I wont ever stay here again, nor would I recommend it.

This is a great hotel in an awesome location. Our room was very clean and quiet. The hotel is located less than a 10 minute drive to Downtown Cleveland. The staff made me feel very welcome, especially Robert at the Front Desk. There are many restaurants and even the lake in walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

The location of this hotel really cannot be beaten. If you are looking to be in the downtown area without the headache of parking downtown and the astronomical pricing, this is the hotel for you as its just a short drive to downtown Cleveland. Our room was clean and comfortable and we liked that there was free hot coffee, muffins, Danish, fruit, yogurt etc. in the morning. Free WIFI and parking was great as well. This will be my go to hotel anytime I need to be in the Cleveland area.

I really liked this cute hotel in the heart of Lakewood, just a short drive to Downtown Cleveland where I was attending an event. The staff were super accommodating and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. There was a continental breakfast buffet which was great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Definitely a nice neighborhood area around it? That's why I was surprised that the hotel seemed kind of run down. The neighborhood in which the hotel is located is very nice, thus the temptation to book a room there. However, the hotel itself was terrible. I ended up leaving after minutes of getting there. The hotel is very unfriendly. The first sign we saw was that the management was not responsible for the safety of our vehicle. Next, the reception desk was about five feet tall, and I could barely see the receptionist ( I am not tall myself, so that made it very uncomfortable). The hotel looked unkept, and when we entered the room, was like we entered a storage room - once a bedroom. At first sight, there was a big round mirror just left on the floor, the bed looked in disarray, with one mattress pointing in a different direction than the frame. The ruffles were not straight, the sheets not changed ( or not pressed, but most likely not changed, because they were stained on the pillow cases), the smoke alarm was yanked out of the wall. No amenities of any kind. So, I was very disappointed. I should have read the reviews before booking the room, but I was in a hurry and made my assessment based on the neighborhood, pictures, and my previous experience with Days Inn and Windham. However, this hotel was not at all representative of these names.

I see why your hotel is one of the less expensive in the area. Pretty old and basic. My biggest complaint Is that the property as advertised breakfast included. I was here for two days. Day one I went to breakfast at 8:30. The room was cleared out and I thought maybe they just ended breakfast early. The second day I got down there at 8 o’clock and it looked exactly the same. Two slices of bread in a keeper Couple of muffins a cereal tube. And nothing else this property should not be advertising breakfast included because it cost me more. I had to go out to breakfast.

I would call this hotel, a “mistake by the lake“… Unless you’re desperate, I would recommend finding another hotel. This hotel is dirty has electrical problems, the shower and bathroom were kind of gross, their breakfast in the morning was a joke. It had a couple bagels and a couple pieces of bread. They have no ice machine that was working and the vending machine had sodas, but no water. The ONLY positive things I have to say about this property is the air-conditioning worked and the TV worked. I just felt dirty in the room and post shower.

The facility was seedy and worn. There's a rummage sale behind the front desk. The rooms are clean but physically neglected. Items of furniture need to be replaced. Repairs need to be completed. Breakfast was advertised as running from 6:30 to 9:30 but it was shut down before 9. The staff was friendly and helpful and the variety on television was excellent. It wasn't a bad experience, just disappointing, even considering the price.

Very run down and frankly a dump. I paid $250 for a Saturday night (non-smoking queen). I knew to lower my expectations b/c of the smoking room option. 3/4 bulbs in bathroom were out. TV had a blinking stutter-both issues reported no response. Room was grubby, had dust on the headboard. Mattress was surprisingly comfortable considering the boxspring was wrapped in thick plastic sheeting. I question whether I'm any cleaner after using the shower. The water was hot. Ice machine broken, but they have small bags if you ask. "Breakfast" was a gallon of milk and a container of apple juice, 2 cereal options and some assorted bread and nothing looked fresh or clean. This was a last resort for me, and I'll avoid it in the future.
