The front desk area was perfect. Once you pass that it start to go down hills. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Oh, before I forget, you do not get a fresh room and linens everyday. Only if you're there more then 3 nights. Now, on the way to the 3rd floor on of the elevators sounds like it's on the last leg once it get close to the three floor. Walking down the hallway to the room, there's a funky smell. The carpet needs to be steam cleaned. There are stains everywhere. I got to the room after a long drive and wanted to take a shower. The shower head needs to be replaced. It was clogged and shooting everywhere( it's very old). The bed was comfortable or I was just dog tired. I laid down in the bed and looked towards the door. It's not secured at the bottom. Someone can slid a camera underneath the it. Put a towel there for privacy.

The hotel was very clean. The problem was I was in my 2 Queen size beds room with 4 adults and room service only came by 1 day out of a 6 day stay. The excuse was they were under staffed. The ice machine on my floor was inoperable so I had to go to another floor. Also the front door electronic access did not work after 11PM . So then you were locked out every night and the front desk clerk when thwey did come around gave you a hard time. I did not know the hotel was a prison and I could not come and go freely.

This is a Marriott property so you go in with a certain expectation but we were extremely disappointed. The property is run down and poorly maintained. Staff is nice and knowledgeable but the building is old and severely beaten up. We paid 300 a night, a fair price would be 80ish. I strongly suggeat you look elsewhere.

I sent the following email to the manager 4 days ago and received no response… I was hoping something could be refunded for my stay at your hotel on 3/10/2023 in room 313. While the staff was friendly and hotel clean, I unfortunately had several complaints. -the smoke detector flashed like a strobe light very brightly every 10 seconds. It was not noticeable until we went to bed and the room was dark. It was extremely distracting and hard to sleep with the bright light. -the drain in the shower periodically made a loud gargling noise -the tv continued to be unwatchable both at night and in the morning. It kept fading in and out every 5 minutes, distorting the picture. See example picture attached below. -the room was right next to the elevators and the whir of the machinery was disruptive at night while trying to sleep. While I would probably not complain if there was one issue, all 4 made for an unpleasant stay with many disruptions causing a bad night’s sleep. My daughter had an interview early in the morning so I could not address my concerns before checkout. I would really appreciate at least some compensation for these inconveniences.

Very convenient to Georgia Southern University. Not the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in but maybe because it was so dark some things could be missed easily. Rooms older but sufficient. Loved that no extra charge for parking. Staff nice and very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and there were good options for the continental breakfast. This was convenient to the college and many other areas in town. The pool was closed which my children were upset about but hopefully it is up and running soon.

I loved the sweet check-in lady, I believe her name was Gizzelle. Other than that I was highly disappointed. The pool was out of order, the room is fairly small, the breakfast was minimal - didn't even have bread for toast. I really shouldn't of paid $168 for what i could've gotten at the Red Roof Inn for $50. No evening reception? I must be Hilton spoiled. I know it's a college town but when I splurge to sleep somewhere I hope to get my monies worth.

We arrived a little early and the weather wasn’t great. We were doing a hotel for my son’s birthday. They let us check in a bit early and swim before the weather got too yucky! They were so welcoming and nice to my family. The room was spacious and comfortable. I’d recommend to anyone!!

Felt like we were on a Race track…loud trucks & cars all night .. Mold on the ceiling of our room …bugs ..and the bed was definitely not good ..got no sleep so we checked out early .. Do t expect a refund but you need to know about this property ….

Manager not on site to express concerns. Room not cleaned everyday due to "covid" restrictions?, they only touched up our beds per our request but did not change trashcans, old food was also found in fridge. Breakfast area was a mess and running out of stuff before breakfast time was up

The room was not as clean as I remember it being in the past. Our shower had a lot of hair, and there was a weird smell in the room. These rooms could use an upgrade, and the cleaning could be much better.

Looked forward to a 3 night stay while in Statesboro. The room rate was higher than we were hoping to pay for this stay but the room was ready the first day and the breakfast was generous and delicious the next morning. Then came the disappointment-2 more nights in a room that was not serviced even when I made it clear at check in that we wanted clean towels daily and beds made, etc. Calls to the front desk explained their policy of doing room service every other day. Okay, then the next day we would have clean towels and waste baskets emptied and beds made. No! The cleaning crew was outside our door twice as we left but the front desk made another excuse that our room was not on their schedule but the other crew was not finished for the day yet. The front desk personnel delivered clean towels but the used ones stayed damp on the bathroom floor until I picked them up and placed them in the hallway on the 3rd morning. That pile was still there when we checked out the fourth morning. We had to ask for tissues as those ran out. When you pay over $650 for your 3 night stay, we didn't think it was unreasonable to expect the room service requested at check in. Very disappointed.

The room was really spacious even for our large family just wish there were more trash cans didn't even have one in the bathroom, other than that eveything was great. 24hr coffe really helped and check-out at oon instead of 11 was really convenient when having small children.

For the price we paid for this 1 night stay, I expected much better. The TV viewing went out not long after we got there (5pm) & as we sat in the silence we could hear every door that opened & closed, (very loud) the conversations of the folks next door, babies crying, vehicles on the road, etc. Couldn't sleep due to all the commotion. They refused us any amount of refund since we booked with Expedia. They offered us a bag of popcorn but what were we to watch while we munched on that?? Very disappointing & I will not stay there again.

Staff was great, hotel property was well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 3 kids with the sofa bed system. You could tell that the shower needed a little bit of a remodel as there was small sign of water penetration on the drywall right outside the shower door. Breakfast was hot and included which helps when you have a family of 5 eating. All in all, a great stay.

Looked forward to a 3 night stay while in Statesboro. The room rate was higher than we were hoping to pay for this stay but the room was ready the first day and the breakfast was generous and delicious the next morning. Then came the disappointment-2 more nights in a room that was not serviced even when I made it clear at check in that we wanted clean towels daily and beds made, etc. Calls to the front desk explained their policy of doing room service every other day. Okay, then the next day we would have clean towels and waste baskets emptied and beds made. No! The cleaning crew was outside our door twice as we left but the front desk made another excuse that our room was not on their schedule but the other crew was not finished for the day yet. The front desk personnel delivered clean towels but the used ones stayed damp on the bathroom floor until I picked them up and placed them in the hallway on the 3rd morning. That pile was still there when we checked out the fourth morning. We had to ask for tissues as those ran out. When you pay over $650 for your 3 night stay, we didn't think it was unreasonable to expect the room service requested at check in. Very disappointed.

The hotel was very clean. The problem was I was in my 2 Queen size beds room with 4 adults and room service only came by 1 day out of a 6 day stay. The excuse was they were under staffed. The ice machine on my floor was inoperable so I had to go to another floor. Also the front door electronic access did not work after 11PM . So then you were locked out every night and the front desk clerk when thwey did come around gave you a hard time. I did not know the hotel was a prison and I could not come and go freely.

Short weekend trip to visit my daughter in college. Hotel was busy with sports teams playing against GSU so it was busy. We go a quiet room at the far end of the hallway and it was great. Check in was easy - Andrew was wonderful. We will stay again when we come back up

Very convenient to Georgia Southern University. Not the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in but maybe because it was so dark some things could be missed easily. Rooms older but sufficient. Loved that no extra charge for parking. Staff nice and very helpful.

Room 220 was nice but shower floor needs to be resurfaced. It had red stains in cracks like blood. Asked for it to be cleaned and no change. Breakfast below par. Oatmeal Granola was stale. Sausage links were so light didn’t look cooked.

Staff was great, hotel property was well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable for 2 adults and 3 kids with the sofa bed system. You could tell that the shower needed a little bit of a remodel as there was small sign of water penetration on the drywall right outside the shower door. Breakfast was hot and included which helps when you have a family of 5 eating. All in all, a great stay.
