Fairfield Inn & Suites Springfield

The breakfast was good. It is between two restaurants that were both good, however I don't see the need to charge us to park. It was not in a high rent district; just another way to add fees.

Property description indicates "Free breakfast, free self-parking, etc"... The day after I left I got charged a $3.00 parking fee, so did my work partner. We were in the same truck. Do they just bill everybody an extra $3.00 the day after you leave? Kinda seams shady...

Room was in decent condition and staff was very friendly and helpful. The heater didn’t work in our room, the tv was glitchy, the pool was freezing, breakfast wasn’t very good (not much selection and items were stale or very dry), and got charged for parking, which seems really ridiculous for the location. Also, got charged for two vehicles because we had two rooms but only one vehicle.

Bathroom fan didn't work. Ran out of tissues and toilet paper. Only got house keeping on time. Had to pay to park in an unsecured parking lot. If I'm paying for parking it should be secured

Loved the common area downstairs. Did not like being charged $3 per night for parking when I didn’t even have a car parked there.

Very disappointing that the indoor pool and spa where out of order. Also the ice maker was down. Side entrance door would not work with room key. Walls in room had chipped paint, dresser drawers were broke. Had to keep getting room keys fixed as they stopped working. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast offering was minimal but okay for what there was. Probably will not stay there again.

Doesn't actually have a hot tub as shown in the photos. Also the hot water in the shower is lukewarm.

Unfortunately was not aware of $3/day parking fee. If you are paying hotel rate plus taxes and fees, why do they charge $3 per night parking? I should have parked next door. Stupid policy! Trust me, it’s not like this is a busy metro area with lots of activities that need the parking spaces.

The staff was amazing, but the property was not as nice as the pictures made it seem. The pool room was not in the best of conditions and it smelled like mildew and the water was I've cold. Our room also smelled badly like mildew, which wasn't good for my husband's lung condition, and the AC didn't work well or pull any of the moisture/humidity out of the air and we'd wake up around 3 am sweating, like it had gone off. Breakfast was ok, not anything super special like some of the other reviews made it seem. Everything was empty each day we went down there and staff had to rush to set up more food. First day it was waffles, eggs and bacon, second day waffles, eggs and turkey/chicken sausage (that was cold and dried out from sitting so long). There was bread, bagel/English muffins fruit and cereal. Oatmeal was available, but it was served with a bunch of seeds and nuts, so nothing in that area was safe for anyone with a nut allergy, which I found funny because at the waffle station there was a sign about contamination for people with allergies. I guess I should be thankful the oatmeal was set on another counter away from the rest of the food. Many reviews raved about how awesome the breakfast was which was why we booked this place vs the other on our list, but it was just a usual breakfast.

This hotel is nowhere near the $238 I paid for one night. The wallpaper is coming off the walls, the TVs didn't work right, and neither does the wireless. The room is not a one bedroom suite as described in the website, there are stains on the wall and on the shower curtain, and rust stains around the floor. Very disappointing, I will be requesting a refund

I submitted one review that it took 3 rooms to get settled. Tv didn’t work in 1st room plus it was supposed to be handicap King with sofa, was king only, moved us to 2nd room king, handicap, sofa, both TV’s didn’t work and the sofa was filthy dirty with stains. (I have pictures) then on to the 3rd room was ok but no sofa. This is the worst Fairfield Inn we’ve ever stayed at! All of this carrying and moving stuff I had to do because my husband has Parkinson’s so I had to do it all pushing him in a wheelchair! I would appreciate at least some what of a refund.

I liked the friendly staff. The hotel the clean,well kept, and quiet. I had no issues furing my stay. Will return.

Hotel needs updated. Found crumbs on office chair and desk. Sink was not clean and bathroom lights are incredibly dim.

Climate control was good. Door to the bathroom kind of in the way since it opened into the bathroom. Kept hitting it while in there.

Facilities were ok… beds were very uncomfortable… even my 9 and 12 yo were complaining. Room was ok regarding cleanliness. Was expecting alittle better, but it served its purpose.

We both did not like the stiff beds, they were very stiff and we did't like the pillows either. We stayed at 4 different hotel chains in 7 nights, including Holiday Inn, then Microtel, Fairfield, then Hilton. We were very happy with all but the Fairfield. Breakfast was also mediocre vs the Microtel. The last time we stayed at this Fairfield, we were on the north side of the building and it did not have drapes

Very convenient to dining and to family in Springfield. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed there many times over the years.

The staff are amazing there! I have stayed there several times when going to care for my elderly mother-in-law. When I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and excitement as if I was family. One other guy in the lobby even commented, "I need to stay here more often" to which the staff member responded "She\'s family now!"

Check in was very smooth.Myrna was very nice and pleasant.

From "Greeting" to "Goodbye Come Again"....The Entire Staff did an amazing job. So Great, that I tipped every single Hotel member $25. This was a 7 day stay to see Family after a year. I will return again, FOR SURE.!

The staff was amazing. We saw Dawn every morning at breakfast. She made sure we had everything we needed and was so cheerful. Tiffany at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Reserved a room with two queen beds and when we arrived they put us in a room with one bed and a pull out couch. When we told them about the room their reply was sorry we don't know who changed your room, it wasn't us, but we have no other rooms available. Front desk lady was rude and has an attitude the whole time. Called her supervisor and she blamed Expedia and said she couldn't do anything until the next day. Wanted to charge us more for the room they gave us and would not do anything to help the situation and then the girl at the front desk said I am releasing your room, we left.

I love this hotel! Always clean, staff courteous, dining options very close . We walked to red lobster next door but apple bees also on other side. Quiet area. We came at end of breakfast so options were slim but ok. Hotel was full so we should have came earlier. Definitely would stay again

We needed a place to stay before an early hike in Yellow Springs the next morning. Hotel was close, clean, nice breakfast...wish I'd had more time for the pool!

In town for a musical at the John Legend Theatre. Convenient to all the places we needed to be. Nice property and good value.
