The floors were very noisy, disturbing guests below. We were given a room on the 4th floor and there was no lift. There was not always an agent onsite. There was a very convenient lot to park the car at no expense.

Basic, but very clean and tidy, parking excellent except cannot stay past 12.00 so had to walk down to Redbridge Park and Ride which for a bus ticket and parking up to 16 hrs was £4!

Complete lie about the Breakfast! That is the whole point of a bed and breakfast. The shows photos of a really nice breakfast. Complete con! I booked less than 2 weeks ago. 24 hours got an email from the owner. Woe is me on about small business. No breakfast and has not been for a long time. That is why I booked for the experience for my kid from the US. Stand up! Stand out! Do be like same old Vrbo.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice but very noisy due to traffic. The location is great with only a 15 minute walk into the city. However, don 't stay here if you are planning any day trips out of Oxford because you may not have a parking space when you arrive back to the guest house. We could not find any reasonably priced parking nearby.

It was really easy checking in. There is first come first served free parking at the back. It's a really close distance to the town centre and is walkable in nice weather. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of space. The bathroom was modern and had a Good warm/powerful shower. There is a working TV and kettle on the room. The only downside was the lack of towels. There was only one bath towel. I had contact with the manager Aamir who was friendly and helpful who had provided us a cot for our child.

We stayed here for an overnight in Oxford on our way down to Southampton. The rooms are basic but the shower was fab. No breakfast, but we knew that. Oxford town centre is easily walkable. Parking is limited to a small yard around the back of the hotel. We got parked ok, however it’s in an area where there’s mostly residents parking only, so it could have been awkward. Having said all that, I’d stay there again.

Really friendly and fun welcome when checking in. Great location - so easy to walk from. Small niggle that the small bin in the room hadn’t been emptied from previous occupant but it was only a couple of teabags so we weren’t too bothered. Everything else was spotless.

Check in was easy, room was spacious and clean. Walking distance to Oxford city centre. It was quite noisy, we were able to hear the people walking upstairs. Bathroom was big and clean, but no shekf to put things on whatsoever, had to store everything on the ground.

It was in a good location with nice furnishings and hosts. A king sized bed would have suited us better. Unfortunately other guests on the creaky floorboards above woke me up much earlier than id have liked and appeared to walk around for a full 90 minutes so I would recommend asking for the highest floor.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom very small but adequate for our 2 night stay. Being an old building the floorboards are loud and squeaky, so grateful for being on the top floor and not the room below. The shower was great the first day, however the temperature got stuck on scalding hot the second morning and was unusable. The walk to town is direct and only 15min. The parking was a real bonus and adds value to the stay overall.

The rooms are very nice and the property itself is lovely, however the floorboards are very noisy and you can hear the people above you and the walls are thin. The rooms are very hot but due to it being so noisy not really able to have the windows open as the road is very busy and noisy

Great location. It's a 20 minute walk into the town center... but very pretty. Also next to a bus stop. There is a laundry mat down the street. Nice basic place to spend the night. The room was tiny, but clean and adequate.

Newton House was clean, comfortable and well presented. The welcome was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a lovely bathroom and good shower. It was a pleasant walk into the city and had we had more time we would have taken advantage of the proximity to the river walks and Christ Church Meadow. Our room did face the road, but with good double glazing and less traffic overnight we were not disturbed. There are two pubs very close by. The high score on Expedia is well earned.

The owner switched our second floor room for a first floor room, saving my wife more steps. He also allowed early check in and parking. Granted that this is a shoulder season booking, but he was very kind! The walk to town center is easy and pleasant.

Great safe secure parking. We were met by the friendly owner who gave us maps of the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was newly decorated with lush carpet. The house was warm and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. bus stop right outside. 15 minute walk to town. Lots of earring drinking places nearby. Great value for the money. We would definitely book again.

While this small hotel is situated on a main road in Oxford, it was still a very nice facility to stay in. Buses are easy to catch into town, and there are several nice and small restaurants close by that are easily walked to. Even though they don’t serve breakfast, they are accommodating with their facilities if you purchase food locally and need to store something, along with providing dishes and cutlery. The property was well maintained and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Shower was lovely. No breakfast served anymore but we didn't need it as we had breakfast plans. I loved having instant hot chocolate and a kettle in the room in addition to instant coffee and tea.The staff were really nice and helpful. Fairly close to the centre and easy route as it's on a main road but not noisy. I'd recommend it and would stay there again.

The room was cozy and clean. Friendly staff was able to help me with the remote control batteries . It’s a fair walk to old town. There was plenty of morning coffee and tea.

Complete lie about the Breakfast! That is the whole point of a bed and breakfast. The shows photos of a really nice breakfast. Complete con! I booked less than 2 weeks ago. 24 hours got an email from the owner. Woe is me on about small business. No breakfast and has not been for a long time. That is why I booked for the experience for my kid from the US. Stand up! Stand out! Do be like same old Vrbo.

This property is on the London end of Oxford, so you have to pay attention which way you approach it because of the low emissions area. The property does not provide breakfast unless pre arranged and paid for. It is actually two properties joined together, but with just 6 places for parking so very limited. Our room was clean and tidy with good on suite bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The area is not the most appealing, but it is just a 20 minute walk to Carfax Tower the centre of Oxford. Which gives you access to all it has to offer.

Felt more like a B&B than a Hotel, but that’s not a bad thing, no breakfast service though. Comfortable room, good size and modern bathroom. Excellent location to allow exploring the city. Would recommend.

We stayed here for an overnight in Oxford on our way down to Southampton. The rooms are basic but the shower was fab. No breakfast, but we knew that. Oxford town centre is easily walkable. Parking is limited to a small yard around the back of the hotel. We got parked ok, however it’s in an area where there’s mostly residents parking only, so it could have been awkward. Having said all that, I’d stay there again.

Our rooms were available early and we headed right in after a delightful conversation with one of the staff. The rooms were clean and roomy. We had two family rooms. The bathroom was clean with all amenities. They were quiet for looking out on the main road. I’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed it each time.

Martyn was a gracious host and room. Ery clean and comfortable. I’ve rated it a 4 as we had to walk into Oxford for breakfast. Having said that, we enjoyed the Sunday morning walk. Would stay again and highly recommend.
