Hampton Inn & Suites Florence-North-I-95

Elevators need repairs and to change a battery on a door the maintenance guy had to wait 2 days for a battery

Hot tub and pool were great! Comforters/sheets on bed need upgrading….they’re not very cozy. Hotel lobby and breakfast areas nice looking.

Room was not ready at 3:00 as it was listed for check in. Would not allow use of facilities while waiting for room to be ready. Renovations happening on site and it was listed as starting work at 9:00 on Saturday mornings. Very noisy work began closer to 8:00. Room was sufficient, outdated but clean.

It's clean, and other than the horrible pillows, it was relatively comfortable. Despite one treadmill being broken and the other being partially broken, there was still enough to do to make the fitness room decent. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of easy parking.

Booked this hotel for pool and hot tub. Could not use pool or hot tub. There was algae on the bottom of both. Not Happy

My only complaint would be that it was pricey considering the construction going on. But the staff was very friendly the room was super clean the breakfast was amazing and it was about 5 minutes off I95, highly recommended

Was able to check in early after being up all night and truly appreciated it. Pool and hot tub were great for an evening relaxation

We had to be escorted to our room because they couldn’t make keys and problem didn’t get fixed. We were in town for a family funeral and parking was hard to find when we returned to hotel. No one was at the desk and we had a long wait to be escorted to our room. Still no keys.

Clean room, friendly staff and a convenient location!

Hotel was nice. Room was very clean. Quick check in at the desk. Breakfast was good. The women that run it were on top of everything including making sure people were practicing good hygiene near the food area. That was very much appreciated.

The property was clean and my room was very clean. The amenities were good and l look forward to staying there again!!

Old dirty smelly carpeting , moldy smelling room .

Property itself is great. Rooms were very clean. Only issue was that whatever they use to clean the floor in the rooms, including the carpet, was sticky. Aside from that, great place to stop in Florence.

Our room was covered in mosquitos and gnats it was gross and now i have to bring my 1 yeat old to doctor for allergiv reaction to mosquito bites

The hotel room smelled so gross, the room was dirty, trash and towels left under the beds. Guess they couldn't see that stuff when they cleaned. The floors were filthy, the stairwells were full of dirt. We won't be staying there again for the money we paid.

This hotel was JUST remodeled and is fantastic! Do you need plugs? They have plugs! Seriously, there are enough plugs and USB plugs to charge a small Boy/Girl Scout Troop. New TVs! The ACs are silent! The beds and sheets are great. The check-in and check-out are seamless, and the free breakfast was better than the usual fare. As far as hotels at Florence, SC right near I-95, this is probably the best one you can choose. Don't got farther south to the conference center hotels, hit the Lucas Street Exit (Exit #164). There are a number of fast food and casual restaurants to choose from if you are traveling nearby, from the very cheap to nicer family dinner. Everything is within a mile of the hotel and the interstate. This is a great place to stay as an intermediate location between places on a road trip up or down the east coast. Only downside? I showed up on a Sunday night after 9pm, and there's apparently a law in South Carolina that shuts down even most fast food restaurants on Sunday nights. Breakfast on Monday was much better.

Stayed here due to good reviews, but was disappointed with my room. Musty smell upon entering and definitely needed updating. No tv checkout, bathroom shower rod ready to fall off the wall and whomever caulked the tub and surrounding was an amateur.

It’s an OK basic Hôtel. The room was OK, but unfortunately, the mattresses seemed old and too soft for us and we even noticed that the bottom of one of the beds. The material from underneath was falling off. We noticed that the air-conditioning unit needed a cleaning. The lighting was good and the way they set up the bathroom with the towels and everything was quite nice. We tried to explain the difficulty in accessing channels once we got to the channel guide. The person at the front desk consisted. It was just a problem with the batteries, but we don’t think that’s where the issue. Obviously that’s to be determined. When checking in Teresa was very gracious and welcoming, but in trying to explain a few things that we thought needed improvement to the people behind the desk upon leaving, we felt they took offense and weren’t very happy hearing anything that we had to say. We saw lots of people working very hard to keep things clean and neat throughout the hotel. The breakfasts are what you’ve come to expect at Hampton Inns and other hotels like this. I have always wondered where they get their juices from because none of them taste the way they’re supposed to. They supply plenty of choices, but they all seem to be of modest standards. We tried to explain that the hot water and the coffee was not hot and that perhaps it would be best to have some dispensers that were plugged in. They didn’t want to hear anything about it. “ talk to the people setting up the food.”

Room was very clean. Quiet sleeping. Great bed. Very nice breakfast. Easy checkout.

We only booked a 1 night stay as we were passing through on a road trip. I’m so thankful we chose this hotel. Checkin was a breeze. Friendly staff and friendly guests as well. The hotel was sold out but you couldn't tell, it was quiet and relaxing. Our room was VERY comfortable. We stay right next to the elevator and at first I was worried but you cannot hear a thing! The beds were soooooo comfortable and I’m VERY picky with beds. I absolutely loved the upgraded style of the bathrooms. Breakfast was super delicious and check out went as smoothly as checkin. If ever in Florence or stopping through SC, I recommend staying here 100% !!

This is an older property. The lobby and dining area were beautiful and typical of the Hilton chain. Upgrades to rooms and all carpeting evident. Our heat did not work. It was repaired at the 2nd request, 2 hours after our arrival. Heating and AC are an obvious part of comfort in a room. These units are antiques and in desperate need of replacement. Thermostat was reading 5 degrees high. I carry a digital thermometer. It was reading 67

The staff is very professional and goes above and beyond. Exceptional customer service. Special mention to Dorothy who went out of her way to assist us and ensure our stay is very satisfactory.

The night staff is rude as well as the breakfast staff. Limited amenities and don’t honor the Hilton honors promotions. No coffee after 9 and it was a struggle getting the WiFi. The hot tub was broken and the carpets need cleaning. I usually always stay at Hampton Inn but this was a huge disappointment.

The manager , Terry was very kind and in person on the property asking guests how they were doing. The breakfast was very good .

Nice hotel. Very clean but the front desk staff was what impressed us the most. Friendly, helpful, professional and just very impressive.

Staff at front desk were not pleasant. Asked for a couple extra pillows and received a “you booked through Expedia “ when I am a rewards member. The breakfast staff were nice.

The restaurants in the neighborhood I will never recommend to people it's a low low class not clean the neighborhood is not safe hotel is very good but everything else is not recommended

Though my room was clean it was definitely dated in terms of looks. I imagine it is getting to the point where some updating/remodeling would be good. The breakfast area was good and the food provided was good quality. The area where the hotel is located is rather run down, i.e. most of the lighted signs for businesses were damaged or unlit and several businesses weren't in operation. So, the location is not as ideal as the other Hampton in Florence. Currently, between 10am and 3pm the water is off in the hotel due to some construction work.

This was a great stopping point on our way home from Florida to Northern Virginia. Several restaurants and service stations nearby easy access from I-95.

Hotel was very nice . Shower was not as much water pressure as we like. Beds were ok . We had breakfast with a voucher but then were charged besides ! Not much good prepaying for breakfast !
