I chose this property because I Swim.tThe pool was closed, also it has a restaurant! The kitchen was closed. The room bathroom was dirty and the whole room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was a homeless man there at breakfast. There was no printer in the business center. Alex at the front desk was amazing! The only good thing!

This hotel was extremely disappointing. We picked this hotel specifically bc it had a restaurant and bar. We wanted to be able to have nice meals and drink without having to worry about driving. However, once we checked in and inquired about the restaurant/bar, we were told that the restaurant hasnt been in operation since BEFORE covid!! There were still signs for it in the Elevator! And on their website! And the 'bar' was a little 'cooler' with a few beer type drinks and white claw type drinks in it. We were very annoyed but, hey, atleast there was a continental breakfast right? Wrong. There was def food down there but what was actually sparingly there looked rubbery, cold and gross and there was water leaking from something and was all over the floor. Needless to say, we went across the lot to Cracker Barrel. Only 1 elevator works and has been that way for some time apparently and the 1 that does work is EXTREMELY slow and the door takes a full 30 secs to open. That may not seem like a long time, but trust me, it is. The bed was comfortable but the rooms are outdated. The carpet appeared clean but was bunched from repeated walking and needed to be stretched. The shower had pubic hair in it when we got there and we never were able to take a HOT shower. The water never got over luke warm... at best. The rooms do not have microwaves and considering they removed the restaurant, they need to supply the rooms with microwaves. The temp was hard to regulate as well. 10/10 👎

We stayed for two days. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Room was very big & clean and nicely arranged. Hot Breakfast was mediocre. Laundromat in the facility was convenient. Only Bathroom shower corners & outside the shower had mildew. Housekeeping was good too.

the place was very Clean, One elevator did not work, the other was slow. the breakfast was ok , the eggs and sausage where cold , coffee was good , but there was no coffee during the day. wi-fi did not work for me , i was disappointed. Pool was not open , wanted to take a dip ,its one of the reasons we picked this hotel.

Just OK. Room was next to the dumpster as I found out at 3:45 Friday morning when the sanitation truck backup beeper and dumpster emptying happened. The hotel was clean enough but parts of it are starting to show their age. Only one of the 2 elevators worked, and even that broke the day we checked out and we had to carry our luggage down the stairs. Luckily we were on the 2nd floor. They were unable to change the date after booking through Orbitz and trying to get them to change the date (both through Orbitz and calling directly), so make sure you have selected the correct date. Reserved another room for the correct date and stayed 2 days instead of one. The breakfast was above par for a hotel breakfast, and the location is convenient to get to.

Great place to stay! A few negatives- there is never anyone at the front desk to help. They need more staff. The pool was under maintenance and the air was broken in the gym. However, it was very clean and the room was big! Also, great buffet breakfast!

The indoor pool was closed. There was a trash bag forgotten by the staff at the entrance of the hotel when we arrived, it did not look good. The furniture in the living room was out of place as if they have not reviewed the room before the expected chicken in time. I order a coffee of coffee because it was advertised as Starbucks, they gave me water w coffee flavor. They should not sell Starbucks if their staff is not properly trained as baristas.

Upon entering the room, a strong smell of urine was present. As a pet-friendly hotel, it is essential to ensure the rooms are cleaned thoroughly. I went to take a shower, and the shampoo and body cleanser containers were empty. It seems to be a problem in all the hotels, and one I wish they would revert to using small bottles. That way, we know we have shampoo and body wash when we step into the shower. Overall, I was very disappointed with this stay, considering the amount of money spent.

I asked for room service to clean our room the house keeper did not come and clean it not once the whole stay very upset asked for clean towels and rags had to keep going to front desk for that the housekeepers were rude and the area was not a good area so I was not very pleased with this hotel and the walls are thin I could here the washing and dryer going

The individuals working at Hyatt were helpful and respectful; however, the cleanliness of the hotel was not good. It did not look like the carpet was vacuumed in the three nights we were there throughout the hotel, pieces of trash on the floor, and dog poop was in the lobby when we arrived back one evening.

The property grounds are located in a very busy area and close to everything. The room however was filthy. The shower had some sort of cap possibly from a toothpaste container on the soap dispenser, the floor had food crumbs all around, everything was dusty and stained. The night stand had some sort of sticky residue on it & when I turned the water on in the shower black flakes floated in the tub. The toilet was stained and the room was overall disgusting. If we weren’t exhausted from our 14 hour drive that day & if it weren’t 1:30 am we wouldn’t have stayed here!

Our room had a great set up that we have never seen before. One side of the room had a comfortable fairly new sectional. A partial wall separated the two rooms. A largeTV that swiveled on a stand so you could watch from either room. Also, we loved the large roomy shower and big shower head. Great breakfast too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place North Charleston.

Clean hotel. Room smelled awesome. Spacious room, but no microwave. Make sure to have your charger because there was only 2 usb ports on clock and they did not work. Beds were very comfortable, but pillows are very soft. Breakfast was great. Good bit of choices, hot and cold. Welcoming employees at front desk and lady who worked the breakfast bar was awesome. Enjoyed chatting with her. She was a delight. Elevators- one did not work and the other one had some issues going on with it. I would have taken stairs, but recently had knee surgery. I do recommend staying here. Close to many shopping stores and restaurants.

Check in was a nightmare, waited 45 minutes because a hockeys teams rooms were not ready due to laundry. Room was so noisy, outdated, only one elevator, no WiFi ( lied to many times that IT was working on it ). We left a day early and the mgr never asked why. Just a sad situation

Their price is competitive to other hotels nearby, but their services and the quality of the stay there are generally better than the places we have stayed in the past, for example Quality Inn. Especially their breakfast, it’s hot, it’s plenty of food and has various choices to choose from.

Hotel itself is not that bad. But the employees are either not trained, or overworked or just bad and should not to work in the hospitality industry. Stayed here for a couple of times and all the front desk team are just mean ladies with horrible attitude

Check in was a nightmare, waited 45 minutes because a hockeys teams rooms were not ready due to laundry. Room was so noisy, outdated, only one elevator, no WiFi ( lied to many times that IT was working on it ). We left a day early and the mgr never asked why. Just a sad situation

Dontae was amazing at helping us. I needed a few things and without hesitation he jumped right in to assist. He also gave us food options which helped out a lot. Charleston is bigger than my city with double the traffic. The young man that checked us in was very nice as well. Great energy I don't know if it was Michael but he is very positive and a great face at the desk. I manage a resort in Myrtle Beach and I would hire both of them. Thanks for the impeccable service.

There was something seriously wrong with staffing. I arrived at 2:30 to check in and waited for two hours in a line of people to get checked in. They mentioned having trouble with housekeeping andb getting times cleaned. While one person worked the desk, two were in the office eatting for an hour. I finally got checked and got to my room by 4:30 pm. I was supposed to be at a work event by 4 pm. When I got into my room it was a mess! It has not been cleaned at all. Dirty dishes in the sink, no toilet paper. Not at all what I expected for Hyatt. When I got back from my work event, the room was clean and breakfast in the morning was nice, however, I could not find anyone at the desk desire trying 3 times to talk to them about the previous day's issues. I have pictures of you would like them but someone needs to check up on this location. I plan to travel to Charleston again but am hesitant to book at this hotel.

First time in my life I was charged $50 for early check-in. So, they had available rooms. But! If you arrive a few hours earlier than 2 p.m. (check-in time), you have to sit in the lobby (or wherever) or pay $50 to get the key to your room, which is already cleaned and ready. I think it’s ridiculous. Hyatt made $50 but lost a frequent traveler. Congrats.

The location was great. It's less than 6 miles from shopping and restaurants. The facility was clean and the service was great. Didn't get to try the breakfast. There was no parking issues. 20 minutes from downtown. Yet, the elevator was slow and at times was inoperable. Very inconvenient for individuals with physical disabilities. The HVAV system appeared to operate on motion. There were times when the room was cold and the heating system would only come on intermittently. Called for assistance but they were unable to help. Never saw a maintenance person. Due to the HVAC system and elevator issues, i would be hesitant to stay at this facility again.

The stay was okay. The hotel is close to the airport so you will hear airplanes which I was not expecting. The light in our bathroom would randomly go out. I was also unaware that this was a pet friendly hotel and the room next to us had a dog that continuously barked until almost midnight. The hallway floors were in much need of vacuuming. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

I booked because of the Hyatt name. Never again will I make that mistake. The location was in the ghetto - the hotel across the street was abandoned with chain link fencing around it. The Main Street was very sketch. As for the property - the hallway carpets were frayed and dirty. Out room had an oder to it like heavy perfume. It stuffed up my nose and was not pleasant. Just CLEAN the room and it would be fine. The shower took about 20 minutes to give Luke-warm water. The shower head barely trickled out any water. I could not wash my hair for fear I would not get it rinsed after trying to rinse soap off my body! No body lotion, etc. Come on, Hyatt, you can do better.

I really liked how close the motel was to the Interstate.My trip was for a funeral, so I needed convenience in traveling. The continental breakfast was good (I had gluten free options) plus we were within walking distance to Cracker Barrel.Although the room didn't seem as updated as other motels I've stayed at, the facilities seemed clean.

Really enjoyed the hotel, our second night there our vehicle was broken into. There were no cameras present so we had nothing to go on. Cops came and did all they could but still a great loss for my business there. Probably won't return to area again.

This hotel was extremely disappointing. We picked this hotel specifically bc it had a restaurant and bar. We wanted to be able to have nice meals and drink without having to worry about driving. However, once we checked in and inquired about the restaurant/bar, we were told that the restaurant hasnt been in operation since BEFORE covid!! There were still signs for it in the Elevator! And on their website! And the 'bar' was a little 'cooler' with a few beer type drinks and white claw type drinks in it. We were very annoyed but, hey, atleast there was a continental breakfast right? Wrong. There was def food down there but what was actually sparingly there looked rubbery, cold and gross and there was water leaking from something and was all over the floor. Needless to say, we went across the lot to Cracker Barrel. Only 1 elevator works and has been that way for some time apparently and the 1 that does work is EXTREMELY slow and the door takes a full 30 secs to open. That may not seem like a long time, but trust me, it is. The bed was comfortable but the rooms are outdated. The carpet appeared clean but was bunched from repeated walking and needed to be stretched. The shower had pubic hair in it when we got there and we never were able to take a HOT shower. The water never got over luke warm... at best. The rooms do not have microwaves and considering they removed the restaurant, they need to supply the rooms with microwaves. The temp was hard to regulate as well. 10/10 👎

Overall, our stay was excellent. There were two minor problems; one elevator was out of operation and the bathroom vent fan in our room, made a rumbling noise. The room was clean, the staff professsional and friendly, the breakfast menu was varied and delicious. The atmosphere was family and business friendly.

The indoor pool was closed. There was a trash bag forgotten by the staff at the entrance of the hotel when we arrived, it did not look good. The furniture in the living room was out of place as if they have not reviewed the room before the expected chicken in time. I order a coffee of coffee because it was advertised as Starbucks, they gave me water w coffee flavor. They should not sell Starbucks if their staff is not properly trained as baristas.

I except amenities this isn’t my first time staying in this Hyatt. Breakfast was not good potatoe was spicy eggs dry. Room didn’t even have complementary water. Like I said this isn’t my first time in the Hyatt hotel. I I chose this hotel over area of the hotel area because of the history that I have had with them and it was very disappointing.

The rooms themselves need to be updated. Although clean, a little TLC can go a long way. Darrin, the man that checked us in, was amazing. Devin the bartender was just as amazing. Great staff, and the breakfast was pretty good too!
