The hotel is in need of some serious upgrades. The hotel has an unpleasant odor which is probably from the old carpet. The gym was small and extremely hot. The gym equipment needs to be upgraded. As far as the rooms again, an odor! No microwave in the room, which is very inconvenient for a 4 night stay. The let out couch was stained and the sheets on the bed were stained. Some of the towels were also stained. The shower head was terrible! Although you could adjust the shower head every setting sucked. The ice machine was not working. I wish I could have cancelled and booked at home2suites next door which looked more modern and up to date! If you want something more modern don’t stay here. I was beyond happy to check out.

Will stay here again. The surrounding area was great and the room was clean and comfy. The parking was sufficient and easy to get in and out. I felt safe here. This was a great stay away from home. The staff were very friendly also.

Everything was good and I’d stay again. The morning breakfast was included and good. The only thing that could have been better was a bar and restaurant was listed but what is really was - was a snack bar with a very limited menu- basically sandwiches and they serve drinks at the counter/tables/ definitely not a bar/lounge or a full restaurant

One laundry machine for whole hotel. Charged $2 for 1 box of laundry soap, then charged $2.50 for 1 box on a different day by a different person. Breakfast was good. People were friendly. Pool was nice.

There was hair in the bathroom, tub, and on towels when we arrived. The room was a good size. The breakfast had a great variety of items. Staff were nice. If we hadn’t gotten there so late, we would have requested a new room just due to the hairs everywhere.

There are certain things in life that give me the ick. Finding a pair of underwear in a “clean” room is at the top of my list. The bad. The room seemed like it hasn’t been cleaned very well for a long time. The blinds had dust accumulated in them, each slat was a slightly different color. The comforter didn’t instill confidence that it had been cleaned in some time. It was closer to grey in color than white. The room seemed a bit run down. In the morning we moved the ottoman and found a pair of underwear under it that didn’t belong to my wife and I. Gross! Breakfast was ok. It met the need we were looking for but have had better commentary breakfast before. I will add that we came down around 9am when they stop serving at 930. The good. The staff during check in was friendly, the woman that checked us out seemed genuinely concerned about the cleanliness of the room and took down some notes and even offered us some free snacks from their snack counter. We declined. Initially we wanted to do a late check out but it was a 25 dollar up-charge for 1 hour. Something needs to be done about house cleaning that was the difference between a 5 star and 1 star review. If ever in the area again I will not be staying here.

Room #319: The room appeared to be clean, but the shower was filthy. There were brown bacteria growing between the tiles and around the glass door in the shower. The employee who services Room #319 is doing a poor job of cleaning.

Airport shuttle was great. Breakfast wasn't great, too many carb and sugary options. Room wasn't 100% clean and definitely needs updating or deep clean. Slept great though!

I can’t believe this place was rated 9 on the reviews. This place is old and dirty. The blanket has blood stains, the sheet has black spots. There are red spots on the carpet, not sure if it’s blood. The bathroom light is dark.

The hotel had water damage on all floors. There were industrial fans running in the halls. There was no escaping the sound of the fans. Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere. My final room - I had to request a different room from the first one due to the fans right outside the door - had clean sheets and some of the towels were clean. Others had clearly been used and not switched out. The room needed a good cleaning and updating. The saving grace were the kind staff.

We stayed at the hotel the previous week. We really like the comfort of the room and the staff is very friendly. Having a few food options for a late arrival is great. The only thing we didn't like the 2nd stay was the carpets were very damp and it smelled bad in the room. We were tired so we just stayed in the room. I would change rooms the next time if that happened again. Again, the staff downstairs was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is yummy, every day is slightly different which is adds to the variety. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Wi-Fi is spotty at times. And the shuttle bus to and from the airport is enjoyable with great conversations with Mike the driver. Check is and out was smooth. Front desk will tell you all about the hotel if you have not stayed before.

The 2 shuttle drivers (Stephanie and Mike) we had from and to the airport where great, very informative and provided great dinning options. Room was spacious and clean. Our only down side was spotty internet. Check in and out was a breeze.

The Hotel was fine except for the weird bathrooms. You had to stand in the shower to close the bathroom door as the door swings closed about an inch from the toilet. So unless you legs are less than an inch wide you can not close the door without stepping into the shower.

We made a reservation through Hotels.com. I called two weeks before to make sure my reservation was gtd because I knew we were checking in late. Then on our way down there, I called again to let them know we were going to be checking in late. I asked if they needed a credit card to hold the room and they said no that they would note that we would be late. I told them around 1:00 am. We got there at 1:20 and they had given our room away. The front desk clerk said next time we could ask them to check us in on the phone. I told her that we weren’t offered that and I didn’t know that was an option. There were no other rooms available in the area so the 5 of us spent the night in the car at the rest area.

The staff were so nice. When I stay at other hotels I don’t receive the level of customer service that I experienced at this hotel. Francine and Stephanie were so nice. Stephanie help me with my family’s luggage and provide us with prompt service to make sure we made our flight.

Property boasted about having 24 hr airport shuttle service, which was definitely not the case. We waited over 30 minutes for a shuttle that never came after our late arrival at the airport. By 1:15 am and after several attempts to call the hotel, we had to call an Uber. When we arrived, the front desk attendant jumped up from his seat in the lobby to meet us at the desk. When asked about the shuttle, he said they stopped around 10 pm. We asked about the 24 hr service that was promised online and he had no answer. We also asked about our calls going unanswered and he smugly said he didn’t hear it. He simply rolled his eyes and said “anyway” and then proceeded to check us in, completely dismissing our frustrations. When we got to the room, it smelled terrible like someone had been smoking in it. It was disgusting and on top of that, it was double beds. We had booked a king bed. I checked my reservation and went back downstairs. I was told that due to being fully booked they couldn’t accommodate our original booking for a king bed. Being 2:00 am at this point, the frustration and disappointment was pointless. We stayed the night and checked out the next morning. We asked about the airport shuttle back to the airport and were told to take a Lyft they had called for us instead. This made no sense and was also terrible. The Lyft was dirty, smelled like weed, and barely accommodated our luggage. I wish I could give negative stars for this experience.

We stayed at Hyatt Place Jacksonville Airport on June 24, 2025, booking through Hotels.com. We are a family of three adults traveling with our Emotional Support Animal (ESA). At check-in, I specifically asked if there were any extra charges for an ESA and was clearly told by the front desk that there was no pet fee, just a $20 refundable deposit. My husband and daughter heard the same thing. However, two days later, my credit card was charged $85.13 as a pet fee without any notice or receipt. When I called the hotel, they said they don’t waive pet fees for ESAs, only service animals — which completely contradicted what we were told at check-in. I feel this was misleading and unfair, and I did not give permission for this extra charge. I tried to resolve it with the hotel, but they refused to refund me. Be careful — get everything in writing and double-check your final bill! I do not recommend this hotel because of this lack of transparency and poor customer service.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The young front desk guy with curly hair was not only handsome but also extremely kind — truly six-star service! I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, and he allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. The hotel was clean and comfortable, definitely worth five stars. The only downside was the service from housekeeping. Just as I entered the room and was about to shower, someone knocked loudly and impatiently on the door. Even after I said “just a second,” they kept knocking. When I opened the door, the person said something I couldn’t catch and left. Later, I called to request extra towels — it took two calls, and when they finally arrived, the staff knocked just as rudely again. Still, thanks to the great front desk service and clean room, it was a mostly good experience.
