Gorgeous room with tea/coffee making, large fluffy towels (and a towel warmer!!!) and bathroom creams/gels. Bed was very very comfy £5 breakfast was so good!! Highly recommend the stay, the brekkie.. everything!!

Good size room, light, clean, very well furnished - keeping the period features but fully modernised. Nice en-suite bathroom. Comfy bed. Only a 15 minute walk into the town centre, and it lies just outside the traffic charging zone. I initially found on-street parking available just up the road on the main road, then saw a parked car move just outside and conveniently managed to park there instead. Very friendly owners. Lovely & substantive breakfast (delivered to your room). Whilst it is on a busy road, there is double (if not triple) glazing to keep noise to a minimum, and even this dies down by the time you get to bed. A pub next door (no food) and another a few minutes down the road (that does serve food) to cover the basics - although I didn't go in them preferring the short walk into the town centre for the eateries there.

Stayed at the Devonshire house in December whilst the Bath Christmas markets were on. The Hotel is fantastic, even better than the pictures. We stayed in room which was very spacious and had all the facilities required including an iron & board just outside the room. The owners Louise & Chris are lovely and very accommodating. It was about a 20-25 minute walk down into Bath. I would recommend you pre book and pay the £5 / night parking as parking on the street is extremely limited. The paid parking is less than 5 minutes walk up the road. We will most definitely be returning.

La chambre est un peu petite, un lit en 140, pas trop l'habitude. La nôtre donnait sur une route passagère mais avec un double vitrage, le repos reste garanti. La salle de bain attenante est grande, bien agencée, et laisse la possibilité de faire entrer de la fraîcheur puisque située à l'arrière. Attention, baignoire pas douche. Le rapport qualité prix me paraît correct. Nous n'avons pas pris l'option d'un petit déjeuner. Nous sommes satisfaits de cet hébergement bien placé par rapport au centre ville avec un accès facile aux bus.

My partner and I spent the weekend at Devonshire house and Chris made us feel welcomed straight away. Our room was a standard size with en-suite and very clean. The ceiling fan in our room was a very big plus point as I do feel extremely hot during the nights due to my menopause. Our in room breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of healthy things for an excellent good start for the day. Overall we were very happy with our accommodation. Thank you Chris. Shibani

We arrived late and Louise gracefully called us and texted the detail how could we retrieved the keys and check-in. Plenty of free parking around the hotel. Louise is very kind and the property was lovely!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Devonshire House. The owner had great communication prior to my visit. I ordered the optional breakfast, which I highly recommend. There are not a lot of options right around the hotel, and the breakfast was a lot of food delivered right to my door! The walk into the center of Bath is a nice one and downhill. You may want a taxi coming back! A very quiet, clean, comfortable, and spacious room. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Not as central to the main attractions as other hotels, but a good price and excellent stay.

A super place to stay for our first trip to Bath. Liz was a very welcoming host and very helpful during our stay. Our rooms were comfortable and spotless and had great facilities. The location was easy to get into the city centre using the local bus service. We enjoyed the optional breakfast which was very filling and set us up for our day. A lovely find and recommended 10/10.

Very friendly and helpful owner greeted us upon arrival and room was extreamly clean and comfortable. We didnt have breakfast so can not comment on that, but overall the stay was excellent and just what was required.

This is a lovely little hotel where the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It was clean, my room was spacious, and the owners were generous with their time explaining how to get the most out of a short stay in Bath. The hotel is a bit of a hike outside of town, but it was good to be in a quieter part of town. There were a number of restaurants near the hotel. Would stay here again.

Our party of three has an excellent stay! The hosts were lovely, and the room and amenities were spotless and well appointed and decorated. Pride of ownership was evident. The continental in room breakfast was stunning and arrived exactly on time. Would recommend to anyone wishing for a quiet place to stay.

A very nice place to stay. Only a short walk to the center of Bath and the train station (though it is up a fairly steep hill). The proprietors were very friendly. The room was pleasant and had a great view down a valley behind the hotel.

Our room was very spacious-complete with a seating area, a makeup table, a curio for clothes, and a large bathroom. We also appreciated the in room coffee and tea, which was a great added bonus. You're just steps away from a grocery store, making it easy to grab anything you need. It's about 20-30 minute walk to the Baths main bus station but you can take the bus for $2-$3 per person just down the street. Ten to fifteen minutes to the panoramic views of Bath. In the opposite direction, a short 15-20 minute walk uphill takes you to the Red Lion Pub, which is reasonably priced and a variety. Closer to town, you'll also find Bear Inn and a Fish and Chips shop, both with great value and variety. We didn't try the continental breakfast due to allergies, but it is available at an additional cost. Next door is the Devonshire Arms Pub, which serves beer, wine, liquor, and crisps (but no meals). Devonshire's owner personally introduced himself, offered great local recommendations, and even waited with us for our Uber on the day of departure. He also left us excellent directions to the best panoramic views

Our room was very spacious-complete with a seating area, a makeup table, a curio for clothes, and a large bathroom. We also appreciated the in room coffee and tea, which was a great added bonus. You're just steps away from a grocery store, making it easy to grab anything you need. It's about 20-30 minute walk to the Baths main bus station but you can take the bus for $2-$3 per person just down the street. Ten to fifteen minutes to the panoramic views of Bath. In the opposite direction, a short 15-20 minute walk uphill takes you to the Red Lion Pub, which is reasonably priced and a variety. Closer to town, you'll also find Bear Inn and a Fish and Chips shop, both with great value and variety. We didn't try the continental breakfast due to allergies, but it is available at an additional cost. Next door is the Devonshire Arms Pub, which serves beer, wine, liquor, and crisps (but no meals). Devonshire's owner personally introduced himself, offered great local recommendations, and even waited with us for our Uber on the day of departure. He also left us excellent directions to the best panoramic views

We arrived late and Louise gracefully called us and texted the detail how could we retrieved the keys and check-in. Plenty of free parking around the hotel. Louise is very kind and the property was lovely!!

Chris and Louise are friendly and responsive. They both offered helpful information and recommendations and went the extra mile to be hospitable. The breakfasts were excellent and helped start the day in an easy relaxed way. The facilities were clean and well cared for. It was an easy walk into the center of town and buses were frequent for coming up the hill after a full day. Great place to stay.

Good size room, light, clean, very well furnished - keeping the period features but fully modernised. Nice en-suite bathroom. Comfy bed. Only a 15 minute walk into the town centre, and it lies just outside the traffic charging zone. I initially found on-street parking available just up the road on the main road, then saw a parked car move just outside and conveniently managed to park there instead. Very friendly owners. Lovely & substantive breakfast (delivered to your room). Whilst it is on a busy road, there is double (if not triple) glazing to keep noise to a minimum, and even this dies down by the time you get to bed. A pub next door (no food) and another a few minutes down the road (that does serve food) to cover the basics - although I didn't go in them preferring the short walk into the town centre for the eateries there.

There are not a lot of options right around the hotel, and the breakfast was a lot of food delivered right to my door! The walk into the center of Bath is a nice one and downhill. You may want a taxi coming back! A very quiet, clean, comfortable, and spacious room. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Not as central to the main attractions as other hotels, but a good price and excellent stay.

Stayed at the Devonshire house in December whilst the Bath Christmas markets were on. The Hotel is fantastic, even better than the pictures. We stayed in room which was very spacious and had all the facilities required including an iron & board just outside the room. The owners Louise & Chris are lovely and very accommodating. It was about a 20-25 minute walk down into Bath. I would recommend you pre book and pay the £5 / night parking as parking on the street is extremely limited. The paid parking is less than 5 minutes walk up the road. We will most definitely be returning.

This is a lovely little hotel where the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It was clean, my room was spacious, and the owners were generous with their time explaining how to get the most out of a short stay in Bath. The hotel is a bit of a hike outside of town, but it was good to be in a quieter part of town. There were a number of restaurants near the hotel. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous room with tea/coffee making, large fluffy towels (and a towel warmer!!!) and bathroom creams/gels. Bed was very very comfy £5 breakfast was so good!! Highly recommend the stay, the brekkie.. everything!!

A super place to stay for our first trip to Bath. Liz was a very welcoming host and very helpful during our stay. Our rooms were comfortable and spotless and had great facilities. The location was easy to get into the city centre using the local bus service. We enjoyed the optional breakfast which was very filling and set us up for our day. A lovely find and recommended 10/10.

Our party of three has an excellent stay! The hosts were lovely, and the room and amenities were spotless and well appointed and decorated. Pride of ownership was evident. The hostess was as charming and helpful as she was beautiful! The property was nice and not too far out of town. An easy mile walk down the hill to Bath, although some may want to Uber back up. The property had parking available 200 yards away for 5 GBP a day, which we used. We would return.
