Stairs up to the rooms so not great if you've got lots of luggage (or are unfit!) Some adverts say breakfast is included but it isn't. We’ve stayed a couple of times in Chester but we’ve stumbled upon this little gem of a place. Perfectly located, everything within walking distance. Lovely warm, comfortable property with a huge bed and very clean. We were welcomed with open arms by Alison & her hubby and were made to feel really welcome. Will definitely be back to stay!

A great guesthouse looked good as approached from the outside, tucked behind one of main roads so the bus stop is literally 2 mins away. I was greated by Alison who welcomed me in and made me feel at ease - thank you. The room was big and very clean, with tea/coffee. The decor was amazing too. The bed was so cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended.

It was in a very good location to get into shopping area or down to the river. It was very clean the only downside is the bathroom it’s very tiny so if you stayed for more than 1 night you might struggle

Friendly staff , Gave us advice for navigating the city. Had an issue with shower but it was fixed same day. Only con was the narrow steep stairs up to our room but we didn't ask for accessible room when booking so our error. Central location, easy walking distance to city centre. Plenty cafés, restaurants nearby as well as a Tesco Express.

Excellent location for city centre. Generally quiet area with just a bit of late night revelling from pub next door. Comfortable bed and welcome hot drink making facilities. Shower room too small. The owners kindly carried our luggage upstairs

Our stay was to split a long journey south so it was only for one night. Self-entry was straightforward, room more than sufficient for our needs bed very comfortable and room temperature perfect, unlike a lot of places! We were a minutes walk to main street & all amenities and although breakfast was not provided we had ample choice nearby when we left. Host very friendly - all in all, we will definitely be returning!

Great place to stay in Chester. The hosts were lovely and very helpful with information on parking, where to go and the pubs and where to eat. The pub across the road was one recommended and it was a great place every friendly and great food

We loved the 2 rooms we had here - a lot of amenities were provided in a small space. Communication and instructions for the late check in were excellent. Beds were comfy and it was quiet at night. Great locations with lots of restaurants in the close vicinity.

Helpful and polite staff - kept me updated and left key in keysafe for a late check-in when I got delayed. Facilities are dated and compact, but otherwise clean & comfortable and would use again. Thanks Alison & Dave.
