Ramada by Wyndham Cleveland Independence

I booked this specific hotel because of the indoor pool. The indoor pool area was not heated and it was frigid in there and therefore my daughter and I were unable to swim.

A one nighter. Would of love to a morning swim,pool doesnt open til noon. The outside doors would not allow enterance even with key card. It made a much longer walk to get to room. For the price, I think there's improvement to accommodate the customer

We were in rooms 212 and 219 and we got bedbugs. The elevators are broken. The luggage carts are broken. There’s one person working the front desk during busy times. The door knob on my bathroom fell off and I was trapped in the bathroom. The floors are broken. The security door number two on the back of hotel is broken. Anyone can come and go. Many of the door key locks are so loose. They’re about to fall off. Strangers could easily break into the hotel and push your door open and rob you or assault you. Most of the lights in the back parking lot that is way behind the hotel are broken so it is dark with no security and bedbugs breakfast was a few pieces of bread put out and 1 quart of milk and two little containers of cereal. Please file bankruptcy if you own this hotel, let it go. Your bedbugs have ruined our vacation. I am reporting you to the state of Ohio. You have numerous safety violations and public health code violations your hotel is infested. If you’re traveling, stay away stay away stay away.

Great location for the national Park but could possibly have longer pool hours and the continental breakfast needs some attention and in our room are sink with falling off the front of it the counter

The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The bathroom toilet was a bit broken, the hallway had a foul cat smell. The jacuzzi was not working and Saturday checkout didn’t match with pool opening hrs. We couldn’t use the pool, even though we had wrist bands with the date of checkout.

Front entrance not well visable, Parking is about 1/4 mile from Main etrance although there is an exit door, it is not clearly marked :"Not an Entrance", Hot tub not working, Pool locked an because the front desk clerck was the only employee on site, if you wanted to use a pool you had to call the front desk and wait for the person could come let you in.

There was no phone or microwave in our room. The pool hours were 12 noon to 9PM and we had to go get someone to open the pool after noon. Their was garbage all over our the grounds.

Security doors didn’t lock

The elevators were broken, the hotel tub was broken, the pool area was dirty and had broken furniture, the bathrooms by the pool were dirty and gross, the vending areas didn't have machines and was full of garbage, the ice machines were broken. The bathroom in our room was gross and leaking water.

Pool has been down for a year at this location but it’s listed as if there’s an option that was the whole point of me booking there

Gross! The walls in the bathroom were peeling ,calk in the shower was stain bad probably mold, bathtub had a big stain in it. Not even sure if the sheets was changed since there was dirt on the sheets. Had to park in a pitch dark parking lot to lights at all! The front desk guy said outload my room number and I was staying there alone. I was charged way more then i was quoted. I will never stay there again! Not worry the cheap quote!

The woman that checked me in was amazing. The room itself was extremely dirty, there was dirty silverware on the nightstand the toilet seat had smears on it and the one bed had obviously not been changed it looked like someone peed in it and there were black crumbs all throughout the sheets. One of the dirtiest hotels i had ever stayed in.

Room was decent but not clean. Bathroom door kept jamming and we got locked in/out often. The lamp shades looked like they had spots all over them and this is all after having to change rooms due to items missing in the first room. It suited the purpose though

The hotel is being neglected. Leaky drains, water damage and questionable guests- definitely NOT a safe experience. I can’t attach the video of sink drain leaking terribly and garbage from previous stay under bathroom sink. Disgusting!

This property was disgusting, with our room not being cleaned prior to our stay and dirty towels on the ground. It was disgusting.

Broken toilet with urine stains. Yellow staines drapes. Shower/tub is stained. Found a wet towel in thw bathroom. Breakfast is awful and the milk was spoiled.

The property is in disrepair. On arrival we had to best the fruit fly’s away to get to the elevator. My daughter kept asking what the foul smell was in the lobby and through the halls. When we made it to the room the bathroom floor was wet. Mold in the shower and paint coming off the walls. The thermostat for the air conditioning wasn’t working. Only way to use it was to turn it on the it kept running. The drain was plugged in the shower and when we finally went to bed my daughter asked what the big brown mark on the sheets were. I can only assume it was poop. THE worst experience I’ve had at ANY hotel.

The sheets had stains and the bathroom floors were dirty and the shower curtain dirty and had a mildew smell .

Stairs to get to our room. A group of workers sitting on the floor in the hallway near our room. Left containers, bottles and garbage in the hall. Felt unsafe. Garbage all over property. Not vaccumed. Carpet left our socks black. Shower vent filled with dust. Shower curtain had orange mold on bottom. Hair and dirt on room carpet and bathroom. Very dated and old. Bed was comfortable. Bagged "free" breakfast. Not very good. Do not recommend. Nice mexican restaurant going in soon at facility.

This place needs demolition. Waited 20 minutes to find someone to check us in. Dirty, light bulbs all burnt out in bathroom. Very dirty. Place doesn't even have a working pop machine. Do not stay here. Better off at motel 6. I thought Ramada was a step up. This place sucks. Also all the hallways smell like pot smoke.

I booked the presidential suite. And it was sub-par to regular room at a decent hotel. But it was bigger. Gross looking stains on the curtains, rugs, and pillows. Just a run down location.

Hotel needs a lot of maintenance…inside and out… looked under staffed . The room was ok but not great.. needs some remodeling… Not what I was expecting under the name of Ramada!!

Front desk staff needs to be more aware and respectful of customers time. They were more busy gossiping and talking amongst each other instead of answering phone calls or assisting customers in person. I found it unprofessional. Room above me had toilet running all night long so I couldn't sleep. And hallways smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. Elevator didnt have pleasant smell either. Breakfast was inconvenient because there were NO SPOONS and there wasnt enough milk or orange juice or much of anything FOR all the guests.

The property reminded me of the hotel in the shining - super big but no one there. My room - I think was recently renovated - it had seating for 10 + a king sized bed and it looked larger than the furniture in the room. The electrical outlet was missing a cover - and there was fresh spackle on the wall - it worked for what I needed it for.

We asked for a bunch of pillows and blankets and got one of each. The Internet wouldn't connect.

Room was comfortable but outdated, no USB ports, no minifridge which soould be a given. Hot water for the shower was fantastic, instant!! Though the layout was a bit confusing getting from the front desk to the rest of the rooms. Unfortunately sound travels very well through the walls and door.

Outdated and unclean. TVs don’t work, sheets have stains and covers as well. Never again

I went to take a shower and after letting the water run for about 5 minutes , it was still luke warm ! And before that the first suite that I was in , did not have heat or a working TV. Very inconvenient to pack up from one room and move to another!!

Outside was “trashy”, garbage cans were full. Food was left in the fridge from prior stay. Freezer was caked with ice. Ice machine was broken on our floor. Very outdated rooms.

Parking good I had to wait 15 mins. Plus to check in no one was at front desk. Did not care for breakfast. Room was clean and sheets was clean.

Front desk service horrible the older guy has no good customer service.

Room was not restocked (no hand soap, no coffee pods , no coffee cups, no ice bucket liner, coffee pot didn’t work), the bathroom floor looked dirty. Towels were restocked, and I HOPE the bed had clean sheets. We came in and just fell in bed. It was not dusty, and everything looked nice at a casual glance. Desk staff are great! Personable and tried to help all they could. Parking is poorly lit, but seemed safe. Breakfast looks sparse, but after everything else we are afraid to even try it…

No customer service the manager is very rude. I couldn’t get new towels blankets because they had everything by the laundry room pals and bags not washing anything two out of 10 don’t recommend.

I will start off with the order of events. I choose to stay here because it was a halfway point going back home and I wanted to see the Brandywine falls. The check pre check in process is pointless. They have you fill out information from a link, including scanning your Drivers License but when you get there, the clerks are unable to see the precheck information, so you have to do it all over again. Where is that information going? The 2 morning check-in ladies were very nice to talk to but it seems like they are very limited staff because the receptionist also are also checking the rooms (keep that in mind). I also had to have a $100 added to my account that was supposed to be "incidentals" incase I messed something up in the room, but I would get it back. Anyway, the room was ok but the bathtub looked dirty or just old. Now that brings me to check out. There was only 1 person and she was using a crutch. Sad seeing her use the stairs because the elevators were broken. I checked out but now...i see that $100 was actually charged to my card but I literally did nothing in the room but sleep and watch tv. left towels on the floor as normal to do for housecleaning. I never received an email explaining to me what was wrong with the room as to why they kept the $100, mind you. I already paid in advance through hotels.com. So, with that being said..i made a claim on my CC because this is not a legal charge. I doubt I will stay there the next time I travel through

I responded to the on-line check in and completed it. When I arrived I had to provide all information again. Desk clerk told me that the on- line never works. She was abrupt and busy talking with her boyfriend who was standing at the front desk. We had to park about 500 away from the entrance. The entrance was not well lit. Thee clerk should have told us to unload before parking. The elevator needs maintenance. It made a weird grinding sound when reaching our floor. On the positive side, there was a very nice Mexican restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. The room was clean and adequately appointed.

I liked staying here. The only 2 things inwould.chnage is make aure rhe card reader works for the pool mones didnt after several tries and make sure someone is sitting at the front desk. I rarely saw anyone there. Other than that i loved it here. Ill be back.

Good place to stay if you want peace and quiet.

Great hotel, too bad we couldn’t control the neighbors, up til midnight! As soon as we told management it was handled!!

A decent inexpensive place to stay with a convenient location. Would recommend for anyone looking for a more budget friendly stay. Was clean and bed was comfortable

We love this hotel and will stay every time we need to be in the Cleveland area. The location is amazing and just a short drive to Downtown Cleveland. The staff always make you feel comfortable and always ready for a friendly chat. My kids loved the huge swimming pool and the fitness center was very well stocked. We did not have to go out for dinner because there is an attached Mexican restaurant which was delicious. Everything was very clean and housekeeping staff were very attentive. They even have a patio at the pool to sit and relax. We have found our new home away from home :)

The location is really great. Needed to be at Huntington Bank Field and this was short drive away. It took us about 10 minutes. The hotel is beautiful, very large with an indoor pool, fitness center and even an attached restaurant. Our room was clean and very spacious with a nice sitting area. The staff were super helpful and polite. Overall, it was a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again.

When we got there, it took us forty minutes to find someone to help us at the front desk.There was literally no one we walked around the entire facility, screaming. We did, however, find children playing in a banquet room. Our room was okay.We were very impressed by The area and structure of the pool, it was a very neat building! Too bad the jacuzzi was under renovation. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. And I have never walked out of a hotel breakfast! All in all, it was an okay. Stay a little on the outskirts of downtown and not so expensive.

This hotel was convenient to the station for our concert. Very clean room and friendly staff. The restaurant/ bar was under renovation so we were a bit disappointed but to be able to use this feature

Instructions to parking and the entrance to the room were incorrect and resulted in a lot of walking, dragging bags. When the car could’ve been unloaded at the lobby area and everything loaded into the elevator. Every entrance to this hotel is full of accumulated dead leaves, and the exterior lighting is insufficient at night . The advertised breakfast consisted of a grab and go bag with granola, bars, juice box, and a banana

Comfy and clean and loved the height and pressure of shower head. However, the layout meant a LOT of walking and elevator trips to access the lot. And tge stairs from upper lot down to the floor where elevator accesd for the hotel is, were ROUGH.

Only stayed one night while traveling through (paid more than I wanted but it was Eclipse weekend so there's that). The room was comfortable but the furnishings were showing their age. Accessibility is the biggest challenge. There is NO standard parking anywhere near the main entrance (only accessible parking), yet the main entrance is the ONLY entrance that provides access to the elevators to get to your room (mine was on the 4th floor)! The entrance closest to the standard parking area requires you to traverse stairs (either down to the lobby to access the elevator or up to your room - a bit challenging when dealing with 2 roller bags).

Staff was great room was neat-clean I give the room an 8 the hotel a 7. The breakfast provided was terrible. I was there an hour after it started, there was no milk. It was in disorder -no real concern-my main concern was the room -no plate in microwave-kcup still in machine-no toilet paper roll was almost empty, no spare no more insight because I looked.

Room was okay, no soap to take a shower only shampoo and conditioner, hot tub wasn’t in working order. The continental breakfast was sketchy. No cream cheese for the bagels, the orange juice and milk was open in a pitcher. The room where breakfast was served was cold and damp looking. I enjoyed the price of the room and beds were okay but everything else about the hotel dark and dingy. They can do better!

We love this hotel and will stay every time we need to be in the Cleveland area. The location is amazing and just a short drive to Downtown Cleveland. The property has great potential, but the grounds need a lot of improvement. This property is apparently used as a transient hotel. The breakfast was very limited. The highlight was the restaurant attached to the hotel.

The Mexican restaurant connected to the hotel was really good. The food was good. But the hotel itself not clean the environment didn’t feel safe.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The coffee pot did not work. Breakfast was lacking choices
