So pleased we choose to stay here. A real advantage having parking and it was so central to walk anywhere. Staff were extremely friendly and there was a lovely lounge to chill in if you wanted. We stayed in Room 10 that had a great comfortable king size bed but quite a small on suite which might be a problem for anyone quite large. The hotel is on a side street away from the traffic noise along the sea front. Breakfast was amazing, great idea of making your own cafeteria of coffee and cooked menu to order.
So pleased we choose to stay here. A real advantage having parking and it was so central to walk anywhere. Staff were extremely friendly and there was a lovely lounge to chill in if you wanted. We stayed in Room 10 that had a great comfortable king size bed but quite a small on suite which might be a problem for anyone quite large. Made us feel very welcome and willing to help. Room on the first floor was easy to access using the lift. Room was large and comfortably furnished. Enjoyed the included breakfast. Great to be able to park in the grounds.

Lovely place, clean and fresh room with heated blanket for those colder evenings, fresh and clean bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities in room well topped up and tv, free parking which is nice and private (although very tight if you have a large vehicle) and loads of choice at breakfast. Amazing staff, nice building, great breakfast. Play area for small children, lounge for grown ups, on-site dog! Close to beach and sights. Only negative is that parking is tricky with a big car, you'll have to squeeze through a 2 x 3 m opening to get into the car park

Everything is wonderful about this B&B! Close to the seafront and town, super, friendly staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere, amazing breakfast, free parking, lift to upper floors, beautiful art everywhere, spacious, comfy room. What more could we want?

Excellent value for money , nice clean rooms and good facilities . Breakfast was nice and staff friendly . Would stay again if in Eastbourne . Owners are obviously trying very hard to provide the best possible experience at a reasonable price and are succeeding .

Second stay. I understand the property changed hands last year, so they are still in transition. I like the east of parking and it is a great location. Friendly hosts! But a few things looked broken and not as a clean as I would like.

We stayed last year in a similar room i.e. budget (which is very small!). Shower this year wasn't good (on the wall so couldn't take it off to wash properly). Also have to step up & in/out not ideal. Windows rattled along with door so would suggest windproofing/updating a bit. Tv socket very lose. Apart from carpets/rooms needing tlc & more room - the staff are amazing with excellent breakfast/choice/tea/coffee & very professional/friendly reception & staff. Location is very good! I also thought it was very pricey for 2 nights stay so will probably not return to this hotel again.

Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was clean as were the bedding and towels. Room needed a bit of minor attention /cosmetic work but this did not detract from overall enjoyment of stay. Slept like a log ! The refreshment facilities were excellent and even offered use of dining room out of hrs for our own use if we needed. Good choice of breakfast ,cooked and cereals etc. The hotel also had a lounge available which added to the overall space for our use. Great location 10mins from railway station and 5 from the beach. we would stay here again !

The Sheldon public spaces has been nicely decorated with many facilities, which was nice. The room was very spacious and well equipped but the bathroom was small especially the shower unit which was a ‘tight fit.’ Although clean, the bathroom could do with some more TLC. The onsite car park was an asset although it is a very narrow alley between the building and boundary wall to enter and exit. The location is one block from the sea front and very near to Devonshire Park (theatre and international tennis venue). It is also only a short walk from a variety of good restaurants. The staff were very polite and helpful which must be congratulated. The choices for breakfast were also very good with optional free cooked choices. The room’s information booklet was well produced and most helpful.

Amazing staff, good food and service. Work in progress to redecorate the hotel. Room was very poor. Good bed and clean sheets but too small an en-suite and not clean. New owners working very hard to turn an old fashioned hotel into a place to stay.

I’ve stayed here several time when going to a board game event nearby. I think it’s the best place to stay in Eastbourne. The staff are super nice and the rooms have a lovely cosy feel to them. The main areas of the hotel are decorated beautifully and the breakfast is tasty with lots of options.

Staff were fantastic and friendly. Only issue was light in bathroom not working properly and not usable during stay - not fixed despite notifying and cleaning/breakfast staff checking each day if fixed. Room could have done with darker curtains too but appreciate that is more a personal preference

The hosts were very welcoming and we had an enjoyable time. It was good to have an allocated parking area off the street, the breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and we were made to feel at home. My only slight criticism was that my second-floor room's shower pressure was rather feeble - perhaps affected by the altitude! I will certainly consider staying here again if I return to Eastbourne.

Excellent B&b close to the seafront with the huge advantage of free parking. Friendly staff, large comfortable room with quality furnisihings. we would definitely stay here again. Oh and a friendly welcome from CK the dog too!

Excellent stay, everything first class. Exemplary service from Celeste & all staff. Steve and Renee own, manage the B&B, they get it! They're very courteous, very obliging, thoughtful and considerate. Steve's sense of humour comes included in the price of your stay. Free parking. Beautifully presented cooked breakfast to order, plenty of choice, along with added extras in the breakfast room. Not forgetting CK, their furry butler! I will be back!! Thank-you.

Very convenient for Congress Centre, restaurants and shopping. Parking on-site was a main reason for booking also breakfast included. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The welcome was very warm and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Excellent stay at the Sheldon B&B. Nice comfy bed, good room amenities, blisteringly fast WiFi superb choice for breakfast. Nice and quiet area, parking to rear of place (headroom permitting). Well run place with friendly staff and owners, nothing bad to say, and very reasonably priced. When working down Eastbourne again, will defiantly book again.

A good base to explore Eastbourne and the south coast. Good breakfast, modern decor, lots of helpful students, friendly welcome, wide range of nationalities. Very near to sea front, Bandstand, Pier, shopping centre, theatre & good eateries..

Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was clean as were the bedding and towels. Room needed a bit of minor attention /cosmetic work but this did not detract from overall enjoyment of stay. Slept like a log ! The refreshment facilities were excellent and even offered use of dining room out of hrs for our own use if we needed. Good choice of breakfast ,cooked and cereals etc. The hotel also had a lounge available which added to the overall space for our use. Great location 10mins from railway station and 5 from the beach. we would stay here again !

Very comfortable night at the Sheldon B&B. Single room on 2nd floor with en-suite shower. Tea and coffee available in the room. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Easy walk to promenade.

The Sheldon public spaces has been nicely decorated with many facilities, which was nice. The room was very spacious and well equipped but the bathroom was small especially the shower unit which was a ‘tight fit.’ Although clean, the bathroom could do with some more TLC. The onsite car park was an asset although it is a very narrow alley between the building and boundary wall to enter and exit. The location is one block from the sea front and very near to Devonshire Park (theatre and international tennis venue). It is also only a short walk from a variety of good restaurants. The staff were very polite and helpful which must be congratulated. The choices for breakfast were also very good with optional free cooked choices. The room’s information booklet was well produced and most helpful.

Very convenient for Congress Centre, restaurants and shopping. Parking on-site was a main reason for booking also breakfast included. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The welcome was very warm and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely book this hotel again.

So pleased we choose to stay here. A real advantage having parking and it was so central to walk anywhere. Staff were extremely friendly and there was a lovely lounge to chill in if you wanted. We stayed in Room 10 that had a great comfortable king size bed but quite a small on suite which might be a problem for anyone quite large. The hotel is on a side street away from the traffic noise along the sea front. Breakfast was amazing, great idea of making your own cafeteria of coffee and cooked menu to order.

I’ve stayed here several time when going to a board game event nearby. I think it’s the best place to stay in Eastbourne. The staff are super nice and the rooms have a lovely cosy feel to them. The main areas of the hotel are decorated beautifully and the breakfast is tasty with lots of options.

Lovely place, clean and fresh room with heated blanket for those colder evenings, fresh and clean bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities in room well topped up and tv, free parking which is nice and private (although very tight if you have a large vehicle) and loads of choice at breakfast. Little gem of a place, and really good price, I only stayed one night but will definitely book again.

Friendly welcome from the staff and lovely communal lounge and reception areas. The B&B is in a great location, about 3 minutes walk from the beach, or 5 minutes into town or to the theatres. The available parking is also a huge bonus. The breakfast had a very good selection and was of high quality. Overall, a lovely B&B and we hope to return sometime.
