Though we didn't take advantage of it, it was nice that they had two nice BBQ pits and fire pits by the pool. Staff was very friendly. Nice breakfast assortment. Late checkout and 24/7 coffee was a plus. Would return.

We had a great stay while visiting our daughter. The courtyard had a pool, outdoor seating around two fire pits and they had two grills for guests to cook out on. Our suite was perfect. The beds were comfortable and there were separate air conditioning units between our bedroom area and our sitting kitchen area. We had a full refrigerator along with a two burner cooktop.

We love this hotel property. It is convenient clean and safe. The room with a kitchenette and small living area has the feel of home. Breakfast is better than most hotels offer and was really good. Staff professional and friendly. We loved the pool, jacuzzi and fire pit. Only a short distance drive to the beach. We have stayed here before and will stay again. The price is great for this season and what we get!

This hotel was fantastic. We had the room that was like a small apartment. Loved having the room to move around in, the kitchen was nice, and the small living room with the couch was great to sit on. Quiet surroundings. We did not have the breakfast so idk how that was. We enjoyed having a cocktail sitting out in the courtyard near the pool.

The room was pretty nice. I did notice there was carpet peeled away from the wall by the window and some mold growing. Also, the pool was green and could not be used. We were there for a soccer tournament and the kids were looking forward to the pool.

Everything was very nice from check-in to check-out. Very friendly and helpful people. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast every morning. Wednesday evening welcome social was enjoyable, pool was nice; too bad the hot tub was undergoing repairs. Outside grounds maintenance could be improved. A little trash wasn’t picked up and a few of the outdoor tables needed to be wiped down. Coffee was available all day long. Room was freshened every other day. Parking was adequate. We really enjoyed our time there.

This property is located in Mayfair, which is a very nice area. There's plenty to do in the area and it's close to Wrightsville Beach. The hotel's grounds was well maintained. The inside smell very fresh, no unpleasant odors. The rooms were nice, but couldve been cleaner. There were dishes in the dishwasher and dishes in the drawers that weren't cleaned. The bathroom shower curtain was dirty. I had to call the front desk to have them replace it. The floor in the bathroom were cleaned except for behind the door. It appeared that area hadn't been mopped for a while. The beds were comfortable.The layout of the room is spacious and cozy.

Upon checkin, it was discovered that we had been bumped from our 2 queen suite to a king suite which was not suitable for us. After a 30-45 minute delay and several texts between Edna(who was very sweet and offered up several options since they were completely booked) and the manager, they did a work around to move me to the correct accommodations. She did say that if we wanted to swim, that the pool at the Hilton Garden was available for use, since something was happening with the onsite pool(there were people in the pool Sunday evening so we were confused). She also told me that they would be remodeling next month so that explains some of the complaints that I have about the room that we were assigned. The bathroom was dirty…the toilet looked like someone had used it and needed a second flush. The bottom sides of the toilet also looked like they needed to be cleaned. The bathtub was dingy looking and had a slow drain. It also had spots around the top and the top of the side where u enter didn’t look like it had been cleaned. There were cracks where the soap shelf connected to the shower wall. There were menus left on the windowsill and the sink in the kitchen was dirty. Apparently, someone did a half ass, rush job when cleaning. Considering they were completely full, I didn’t complain, but I expected more considering the cost and the fact that the hotel had a 9.4 rating. It made for just an ok stay.

There was a roach in the bathroom. It crawled from the peeling walpaper in the bathroom. The jacuzzi was also broken which was not mentioned and was one of the reasons we booked the stay! The staff was friendly and answered our questions.

I was pretty pleased with our stay but it was a few things that bothered me and my daughter. The bed room we were in, had a ceiling fan that didn’t work. The tv didn’t either. The tv only worked on live, couldn’t use the apps and the tv kept freezing. We couldn’t get through a show at all. Very annoying! The night front desk guy was very rude, impatient not very helpful. He hung up the phone before my daughter finished the conversation. Laney, Billy and the lady at check out on Sunday were very nice!!!!! And I would like to come back soon! Nothing was offered to be deducted from our stay with inconvenience we had in our room.

Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, no fault of the hotel, our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were doing jumping jacks or running heavy footed all during the night. I would return in the future if needed, but would ask to be on the top floor.

Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our large family. Also, having the breakfast on site was wonderful with small children. We expected some muffins and bagels and got so much more - eggs, bacon, waffles, potatoes…it was great! The short drive to Wrightsville Beach fit perfectly into our plans. We will definitely be coming back!

Loved the well-appointed, high quality room that was extremely clean and well designed. Enjoyed my stay for the most part. The staff was friendly, and loved breakfas Would have appreciated black out curtains that keep the room dark at night. The see-through curtain lets in all the light from other nearby hotels, street lights, and ground lights on the walkways below. Was difficult to sleep with so much light coming into the room. Not to mention privacy concerns when coming out of the shower with a window right across from the bathroom/dressing/mirror area. Also I believe that the higher occupancy rooms should never be on the top floor. The fourth floor seems to have the suites with the two queens and the pull out couch that sleeps more people. The low/single occupancy rooms should be at the top because they will “generally” make less floor noise. I am very mindful of my footsteps when staying in hotels or apartments; I slide rather than step or stomp. My 4th floor neighbor(s) above me were not as considerate, and kept me up all night with stomping the last night of my week long stay. I’m glad they were not there for the entire week as I was. My previous week’s stay was on the top floor, and it was a lovely week. This past week, I asked for top again, but was unfortunately placed on the 3rd floor. Hopefully I will be able to get a top floor again during my next stay, or I might need to book somewhere that has a top floor available for me. Thanks for your time!

This hotel is definitely nearing the point where it needs a remodel. The beds are extremely firm and uncomfortable. The breakfast eggs were clearly artificial and left sitting in a steamer, making them soggy and unappetizing. The shower had almost no water pressure, making it difficult and time-consuming to bathe. Despite requesting housekeeping twice, our room was never cleaned. The pool area also appeared much smaller in person than it did in the photos.

I contacted the property 3 days ahead of time inquiring about early check in was told to call the day of . When I called I was told I could check in at 3pm and my room was not prepared. We was told to wait until 4pm. When returning at 4pm the room still wasn’t ready. Had to wait another hour to check in. After waiting the woman at the front desk did not seem knowledgeable about how your systems work because she had asked me for payment when I prepaid. Was told I needed to show proof and call Expedia to see what happen with my payment. Shortly after her asking this my Hilton app told me my room was ready, but this lady insisted my room was not paid for. After evaluating her screen she eventually allowed me to go to my room. She was very rude and unprofessional which is the total opposite of my previous experience. I was hosting a birthday party for my daughter which included the pool… THE POOL WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! There was excessive mulch and dirt in the pool. I called the front desk to notify this same lady and was told I’d wait for 2 minutes. 2 minutes turned into 20 with no apology and was told someone would be there asap to clean the pool… NO ONE EVER CAME!!!! I can go on but I’d rather have management contact me to discuss my stay

Awesome room with full kitchen big refrigerator, couch and a very comfortable bed. Pool area was very nice. Great breakfast provided. They do have an operating liquor/beer bar. Pets are $80 extra so be ready for that charge.

3rd time over several years visiting Wilmington and staying at Homewood Suites Mayfaire. Once we found this place, we never looked back. The property is so inviting. We especially enjoy the courtyard/pool/Gazebo area. It has the feel of a mini resort, fire pits, oversized grills for guests use, covered comfort seating, pool and hot tub. We like staying on the ground floor for easy access to this area. They had a remodel and the building facilities and rooms are well appointed. The free buffet breakfast is the best we’ve ever found at hotels in our travels. Freshly made food; eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage and breakfast taco makings, along with real oatmeal, juices, bagels , toast, make your own waffles and so on. There’s something for everyone. The staff in the breakfast area are awesome, kitchen cook, older gentleman and young woman. I can’t say enough good things. Can you tell I love this place?

We spent one night visiting family. We got the studio because it was just one night, but found it had plenty of room to spread out with full kitchen, sofa, and desk. The wine/ beer taco spread was a very nice surprise. All of the staff were very friendly to us and our dog. I'd highly recommend this facility and will definitely stay there again while we're in town. We will also look for other Homewood Suites Hotels on our roadtrips.
