Easy parking, safe area, clean facility. Only drawback is a small pool and not much space outside to hang out (we were there for a baseball tournament). Great otherwise for what we needed.

We usually stay on the beach when coming to Charleston but when our place is booked this is a good option. The pro is the price and easy parking the con is the distance to the beach. For me the breakfast is terrible fake tasting here which is the only negative thing but one of my fave things is the coffee shops and açaí bowl place not far so it’s okay. Love the ample parking lot the pool is great, and when we extended our stay I loved that I could do my laundry there and have fresh clothes. Only con is if you try to add a day they raise the price so we stayed next door next to them.

We love staying at Tru Hilton. It’s convenient to shopping centers and eateries. The complimentary breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and smell amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Kreston is the best. I look forward walking into the lobby and he’s behind the desk. The conversation and warm hugs from him is so welcoming. My family and I will always choose Tru by Hilton!!

I love Hilton but I had never stayed in a Tru hotel before. I have to say I'm impressed. The room was not huge and lacked closets in favor of a hanging rack but there were lots of cubby holes and under bed storage. The bed and pillows were wonderful and I could have stayed in bed a lot longer. The gym was really nice and they had a nice set of free weights and bosu balls and trx stuff in addition to the treadmills. I got a good workout there. In the main lobby there is a pool table and lots of games and each night I came back to the hotel there were people laughing and playing games or pool. The front of house staff was very nice and all the maids and maintenance workers I met were all nice as well. The only negative is the food in the morning. There is the most basic stuff and a pancake machine. I will say the 24 hour coffee was pretty good as well. Recommend this place and I would stay there again.

Definitely one of the best Hilton hotels I’ve ever visited: super modern, clean, large room and bathroom, with an oversized window; friendly customer service; and an excellent breakfast included (with a futuristic pancake maker that works with just a wave of your hand!). Pool table is a nice touch, as are the comfy, homelike work areas. Note that the pool is too small for laps and it is outside, and their gym is skimpy and tiny. But, for the price, this place is unbeatable. Highly recommend.

This is a very fun hotel -- especially for a giant family reunion traveling at the same time as us. The big common areas on the lobby level meant they had a great time, and we didn't have to listen to them going from room to room visiting and slamming doors. Yay common area! The laundry machines were fast and clean, and the AC was quiet.

Very clean and comfortable, great location with easy access to all points around the Charleston area. Tru by Hilton in Mt. Pleasant, SC has a very modern feel with a relaxing atmosphere and lots of amenities including a communal pool table that is free to play. Will make this our place to stay with every trip to Charleston, SC.

Nice place. Very comfortable. They have a good breakfast, one morning, during breakfast, I did see a roach crawl up the wall from behind the wafflemaker, there were two women working at the time, i kept waiting for one of them to see and take care of the roach but it ended up just crawling away. It was gross but i was hungry. I’d still stay again when in the area.

Every employee we spoke to were very nice and accommodating. The lobby and breakfast area was large with a pool table and 24hr coffee / hot chocolate available. The room was immaculate and they clean and provide new towels every 2 days. The location was excellent. Breakfast was offered for 3 hours each morning.

Overall, the property is conveniently located and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I stayed for 3 nights and our room never got cleaned. They will only clean your room every OTHER day so definitely keep this in mind if you prefer to have your room cleaned daily. I had to call the lobby multiple times throughout my trip to ask for someone to clean our room and they never came. The cleaning staff in fact LIED, and marked our room as “cleaned” when they never did. Something to keep in mind when booking a room here, it’s not guaranteed that your room will be clean.

The rooms are very small, but fine for just a couple. The shower has very little water pressure to rinse. The main issue here was the A/C. It was so noisy every night we had to constantly get up and bang it to make it stop.

Room was small and basic but cute. No easy chair, so had to go down to lobby to relax. Various seating types and snacks to buy. Included breakfast was good and healthy. Nice design to bldg. Big pkg lot. would be a better size if we weren’t both over 6 feet tall, most likely.

Hotel was updated and clean and had some nice amenities. Biggest complaint is the walls here are thin you can hear every noise imaginable. Doors closing were much louder than other hotels and we could hear through the walls so easily as if they weren’t there. Hotel was nice but we definitely did not get a good night sleep due to the thin walls and noise.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Tru by Hilton Mt. Pleasant Charleston. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by Kreston, who was working the first shift. His kindness, helpfulness, and positive attitude truly stood out. His unique phrase, “Stay Blessed and Don’t Stress,” immediately lifted our spirits. It’s rare to meet someone with such genuine warmth. As we were checking out, we overheard Kreston speaking to a guest arriving after his shift had ended. He was staying behind to personally greet them, as they were coming specifically to see him. That level of dedication and personal care speaks volumes about the kind of service they provide. Even during breakfast, we saw him outside, and he waved and greeted me with the most genuine smile, clearly happy to see me. His energy was contagious, and it felt like being welcomed by a long-time friend. Having worked for Disney, where customer service is a top priority, I can confidently say Kreston’s level of care and attention rivals the best. It truly felt like he had been trained by Disney themselves. If more hotels had employees like Kreston, the hospitality industry would be a much better place!

I like Hilton. Had never stayed at a Tru. The room air conditioner was very loud. Constantly. There were other loud mechanical fan type sounds as well. Made sleep difficult. The front desk person was ok but instead of keeping the lobby area tidy (clean the coffee area and pick up litter) he read a book. Another office person sat in a corner work area, appearing to rest behind her computer. The construction at this hotel was a surprise and a bit inconvenient but didn’t disturb our sleep.Nothing outrageous, just not up to my previous Hilton experiences. I will stick with the Home 2 Suites line. (Bigger rooms and just nicer.)

Rooms are decent but the amenities are really lacking. The ice maker was always out of ice, the breakfast is supposed to be until 10:00 but they start putting things away at 9:30 and they never refill the eggs or bacon once it’s out it’s out. The pancake maker is SLOW! Poor kids waiting in line for this crappy machine to make 1 tiny pancake at a time. Front desk does not respond nicely to your request, it’s like you annoy them asking for anything. I was just expecting something better than what I got.

Your staff needs a bit of training. On multiple occasions, I had to request that they fill the coffee urns including at breakfast and check-in. The attitude of one employee at the front desk could also be considered surly. She was more interested in her phone than the guests.

Every time we visit Charleston, we always stay here. We love this hotel, breakfast is fresh, staff is amazing. Front Desk clerk Kreaston is phenomenal! He always go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and his personality is amazing!!

Only problem is that the GPS sends everyone to across the street because the city planners switched the location of the hotel after the maps for GPS were created. So if you can’t find the hotel drive across the street the hotel sign is hidden behind some large trees so that doesn’t help either. But great hotel once you find it

We lived the area. The hotel was very easy to get into and around the surrounding places we wanted to visit. Mt Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, Downtown Charleston, West Ashley all were an easy commute.

Convenient location. Most staff is friendly. Happy to check in early and rooms are always clean. My biggest issue: beds are way to firm for me, always wake sore back. I was very disappointed that I was told breakfast is served until 10 AM and then one day one of the staff members closed breakfast down at 9:15 despite the fact that myself and there were several families going to get breakfast. I got the impression she just wanted to clean and not be bothered. It's false advertising, and it goes against the idea of "hospitality."

Room was clean. Lobby area very pleasant but needs light. Booking with third party put us on the first floor. No exceptions. LOUD, allergies affected from previous pets, no coffee in the room. Breakfast - all CHEAP ultra processed breakfast choices, even cereals were heavily sweetened. Very green bananas were the “healthy” option. Appalling it’s called breakfast. No bar soap to wash face. I asked.

The staff was friendly... but... one front desk employee kept her car parked directly in front of the entrance to where no one could easily unload or load up, I took a pic of it... kept her car there... The continental breakfast was below par. The tables and floors had food on them from previous diners and staff was on their phones. I don't expect much. Ended up just eating 2 of their hard boiled eggs. Rooms were Very clean, showers were strong. I felt safe for the most part as i was with others.
