The room was fine, with a comfortable bed and everything working. The hotel itself has issues. Only one elevator was working with 11 floors of guests on a weekend (and a wedding reception in progress), so there were very long waits. And I had a very large cockroach in my bathroom. So ... nice, but with issues.

- Don’t count on shuttle service being available to the Cleveland Clinic or anywhere for that matter. Hotel doesn’t have a backup, if driver calls in sick, you’re walking. - 1 elevator wasn’t working when we arrived. - Air conditioning has been out for days. Fans provided, to blow hot air around. - Problems in the kitchen, out of multiple items on the menu when it’s open, closed other evenings. Food not always available. - Beer is ice cold and refreshing, which is nice after you walk back from the clinic. - Employees were all courteous and helpful.

Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Dining room was awful. We went for a quick dinner at about 8 pm and the overworked waitress presented a list of things that were not available -- most of the menu. Parking was very expensive at $21 per night, adding an additional $42 to our bill. That was a ripoff.

The check-in and check-out process was straightforward. I appreciated the complimentary coffee and water available in the lobby. However, the room was quite spacious, but the bed rail and headboard were worn and scratched extensively. Additionally, I found long hair on the chair, which was unacceptable.

This property is very close to Cleveland Clinic which is why we booked. The main area lobby is well kept but the King Suite is unclean and worn out. The bed had a leather like frame and it was peeling and looked unclean. There was a hairball in the corner and the bathroom needed a deep clean. I would recommend this place only due to the proximity to Cleveland Clinic if in a pinch. The staff were not friendly.

Not a good stay. Room smelled in redibly musty when we walked into room. Black mold on the HVAc vents (see photos). Did not clean our room ( We wanted cleaning) Only had half of toilet paper in bathrooms with no extras.

A beautiful place to stay and a great price. They did call and let us know that a drunk driver took out some electrical that affected the air and we could opt out of staying with a full refund. We had no choice as we had surgery at Cleveland Clinic the next morning. It was a little more than warm in the room but they did supply a fan! There were a couple of light bulbs out but nothing serious. The room was very nice, although the shower did let enough water into the room to require a towel to dry it.

Stayed in a huge clean suite. Staff was great and a warm welcome cookie was a nice surprise. Two huge tv’s. Location was great for a campus tour of Case Western. Saw a huge stain on sofa and bed frames were peeling off. Awkward sliding bathroom door was burdensome to slide as it first had to be lifted. Bathroom was so tiny for room size. Shower had a fixated glass that covered only half of shower area. Water splashed out to floor and made a small puddle. Felt like room was remodeled in a shabby manner. Also paid for parking and entered the lot with a key card but a gate in back of lot was left open. So not much security in lot and using key card to enter seemed useless.

The service from the Staff was fantastic. Alicia at the front desk was very helpful. And James who drove the shuttle went above and beyond. We were looking for a good place for dinner. He took our whole party of 10 to a restaurant in Little Italy that he recommended. He called the restaurant and made sure they could accommodate us and then told us to call him when we were done and he came and picked us up within 10 minutes, The Bartender - Marshall, was also very helpful and fun. The staff here made it a very enjoyable stay.

Upon check in, the staff was rude. I was there for 2 nights. I alerted the front desk that I would be out of my room at 10:30, so that house keeping could come in. I was gone most of the day. After multiple calls to the front desk and a trip down there, my room finally was cleaned at 5:30. And no one was friendly about that.

I do not recommend staying here. The room was ok but dirty. The bedding was dirty, the bathroom didn’t shut completely or lock. You have to pay $20 A DAY to PARK in their lot. No free breakfast and the tv half worked. It was loud. Most of all every single staff member was rude expect for a security guard and a man working in the restaurant. We had a time sensitive issue and the manager would not leave a meeting to speak with us or Expedia in a timely manner. Every employee besides the 2 were very unfriendly and acted highly bothered to their jobs. Upon leaving Brittany was told have a great day she didn’t even look up or reply. The manager never did speak with us. The breakfast was expensive and horrible. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We were scared due to previous reviews. Honestly, had a great stay. Large rooms. Pretty Clean and the staff was very nice. We didnt get our cookies, but all in all a very good stay for the price. The bar staff was so awesome and they gave us recs for our evening and we had a great time!

We were not notified that the hotel’s air conditioning was broken until we walked into the front door. The hotel blamed Travelocity saying that our phone number was not provided to them. They also refused to give us a discount due to the lack of AC. We also had to wait 20 minutes to get checked in because there was no one at the front desk.

We stayed a couple of days at this hotel. It is fairly close to the CWRU campus, and we enjoyed the walk. The hotel provides a free shuttle which we found helpful when we took it to a restaurant a bit further out. The neighborhood looked quiet and safe. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but had a variety of food. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I had to spend 6 nights to this hotel. I founded decent hotel and convenient. Shuttle service was free and they provide you a phone number to call for pick up in 2 miles area. Asked for clean service and towels because they have scheduled services for them. Also the dining restaurant and room service delivery with a good food were great options. Highly recommended!

There are pros and cons to this property. It is within one block of the Cleveland Clinic which was our reason for returning to Cleveland. We have stayed twice. Breakfast is not included, parking is expensive, and the hotel is old and refitted. The staff in the restaurant and breakfast room are lovely, fun, and caring people. Checking-in is slow and they never told us our coupons we had paid for to have breakfast were in the sleeve of the room card.

No hot water for 3 days, dirty room, no tv guide, not even a pen and paper. Nothing for the restaurant,like a menu..but that didn’t matter anyway, they were never open . Went for my daughters graduation and was very disappointed. Plus they had a wedding reception Saturday night, with no hot water?

I love historic buildings. It's great to see this one lovingly restored. John the shuttle driver was a highlight in terms of staff service. Otherwise, staff was average in terms of efficiency and friendliness. The one server (female) in the bar around 7 pm on 2/5 was trying but needed help. Way too many customers for her to manage well. The lone server at breakfast on 2/6 was unfriendly and inattentive. She too was over-worked. The other issue was free breakfast. Website and hotels.com said it was free. Not true. Other customers and I had a rude awakening at breakfast. Please remedy the mis-information. Even my oncology social worker at Cle Clinic said this is a major perk at your hotel. I have updated her to stop telling patients about the non-existent free breakfast. Finally, why can't you provide refrigerators, other than in suites? This, plus mediocre hospitality from staff, is the primary reason I won't stay with you when I return for 1 week of radiation treatment in March. Need a fridge.
