The Roseate Villa Bath

A very nice hotel, with a very convenient location being a short walk into the centre of town. For a luxury hotel, a few shortfalls such as the shower dribbled out, no A/C if hot, and parking was busy and quite an added expense at £20 a day. Considering the cost of the room and added extras, this feels unnecessary.

This is a beautiful heritage building that has been recently renovated inside. The only negative is that they charge £20 a night for parking in their own car park. A 21 room hotel with enough parking for guests.

We stayed at the Roseate Villa Hotel in Bath for one night, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. Kamil, Candice, and Kim — along with the rest of the team — were absolutely fantastic. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel so welcome. What touched us the most was how incredibly kind and accommodating everyone was to our dog, Leo. They prepared a lovely bed, bowl, and even a goodie box just for him! He was made to feel completely at home and was never restricted in any way, which meant so much to us. It’s rare to find such a dog-friendly place that still offers such elegance and comfort for guests. The atmosphere, the service, and the attention to detail were all exceptional. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and truly cared for. Leo (and we!) were so happy throughout our stay, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you to the wonderful team at The Roseate Villa for making our stay so special — we’ll definitely be back!

The property is a well appointed and the meals are good. A few points that others may find useful: - it was 46 steps from the ground to our room. There is no elevator. - there is a GBP 20/day parking charge that isn’t disclosed up front. They “accidentally” attempted to charge this twice for a one night stay. - no airconditioning.

Very good place to stay in Bath. Quiet street opposite park with private parking paid extra. Five minutes walk to the center.

We stayed with our dog and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.

Lovely quiet area but very easy walking to great dining and shopping areas. Nice garden for sunny days. Staff very helpful.

Gorgeous property. Perfect location to walk all over Bath. Beautiful garden outside for tea or champagne. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast fabulous. Staff are great. Walk onto town for fabulous restaurants. Parking onsite whoever gets there first. Wonderful stay. Gorgeous park across the street. Walk to all of the historic sites in Bath.

Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Upgraded to the luxury garden view room. Very comfy. Only constructive criticism is having to pay for the £20 a day parking that IMHO should be included for guests.

This was a beautiful property in a quiet area opposite Henrietta Park but within minutes of walking to central Bath with its wide variety of restaurants and shopping options. The staff were terrific-courteous, friendly and helpful. There is a cosy bar where you can get lovely cocktails as well as good wines and the usual other drinks. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. My room was very well decorated in keeping with the heritage nature of the hotel. Lovely Penhaligon products. I intend to stay again. Highly recommend.

Was horrified by the mould in the bathroom and the cleanliness of the bathroom. I have emailed pictures to the hotel in front of the management at the front desk, but have not heard anything back to date.

Very clean bathroom, bed linen and towels. Plenty of space to spread out. Hot, strong shower. Friendly staff.

Very clean and close to all the places one would like to visit in Bath

I have loved every second I stayed here! The room was clean, the staff friendly (had a great chat with the bar staff) and the surroundings helped make me fall in love with Bath!

Arrived at 10am although we knew check-in wasn’t until 3 pm, allowed us to park up in the grounds whilst we took a stroll into town centre, which was no more than a 10 minute walk. ( before going back to check-in). Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast although it looked delicious. We will definitely be staying again.

The property is lovely and very well maintained. The staff is welcoming, thoughtful, and helpful. From Marco and Deepali at the front desk to the waitstaff at the bar and in the dining room, all made us feel comfortable and well-cared for. There is nothing to fault at the Roseate. We would certainly stay again if returning to Bath.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Large rooms with high ceilings and top quality fittings and soft furnishings. Very comfortable beds with lovely pillows. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. Breakfast was great (not cheap but well presented and a good variety). Our only small negative comment would be the time taken for service (plate clearing, finding a staff member to ask a question) but once you’d found the staff member the service was fabulous. It’s also a very convenient location and we walked everywhere from the hotel and did not use the car until we left.

Amazing staff - Kim especially who saw us to our room and provided breakfast service went above and beyond. Room was incredibly clean, comfortable and the hotel very conveniently located, with lots of tea and coffee provided in the room.

We stayed her during the Bath Christmas markets. The hotel was great. The room was excellent, very clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but still nice enough. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The complimentary umbrellas by the front door were a nice touch. My main issue with our stay was the extortionate price. We paid £620 (reduced from £688 due to an Expedia deal), for a two night stay in a deluxe king park view room, admittedly we came during the Christmas markets so can't complain too much, however, the price was still ridiculous, and too much for the quality of room and hotel.

Beautiful room

I stayed here with my husband during the Bath Christmas markets for my birthday. The one thing going for this hotel is the location. It’s extremely central to the city centre. We stayed Sunday to Tuesday and paid £325 for a luxury room with garden view. The price seemed overpriced for the quality of the room. The decor was tired and the bath and toilet seat in our room were damaged with cracks/chips. The shower was also poor and had no power to it. On our first night, the fire alarm went off and having not stopped after a minute, we left our room. The receptionist explained it was not real and to return to our room and wait. No apology was given. The following morning we were woken by a handyman or gardener chipping at the garden slabs. Work like that would be much better if organised from a sociable hour such as 9am. The parking was £20 per day. We were notified about this in advance but it seems a high price to charge guests especially as there was ample parking during our stay (2 cars). The one thing we were miffed to was there being a £6 tip per day on our bill when we checked out. I asked for this to removed to the man on reception. I will choose whether I wish to leave a tip and did not appreciate it being added on. The staff should be given £6 from the overpriced room rate if the management wish for them to be rewarded. When it had been removed, the staff members attitude towards me changed and he became offish and discourteous. We would not return or recommend.

A perfect location if you are visiting to watch the rugby but also very convenient for the Roman Baths, Abbey and all of the pubs and restaurants in the centre of the city. We had a luxury room which was on the ground floor, very spacious and very bright and airy. Note that there is no safe in the room and the temperature control is simply on/off via the radiators. There's a thermostat on the wall but it isn't connected to anything and doesn't work. Parking is available at a cost of £20 per day and the parking spaces are tiny but we had no problems parking. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and very tasty food. Staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. I would use this hotel again if visiting Bath.

Love the historic building but no ac and super small bathroom

Nice comfy room, good bathroom and a quiet stay. The TV and radio didn't work though

We stayed in the suite, which was the largest room we have ever stayed in the UK. The building was renovated quite nicely, being an 1800's stone building. Walked everywhere.

The employees at this Hotel were amazingly helpful, friendly, courteous and pleasant. Loved our stay here - my only little quibble I had was that the room I booked was on the small side. We just missed having a wardrobe.

Overall we really liked the The Roseate Villa Bath. The only ding was the bathroom which needed some work...the heated towel rail was corroded and leaking. The breakfast was excellent and the close location to town made it so easy to walk over the Pulteney Bridge to the attractions.

I shopped the entire city for a peaceful spot for my wife and she loved it. Everything I hoped for. Only one small problem, the floors/walls were a little thin. We could hear the neighboring room guests a bit. However, this villa seems to attract folks who respect other guests, and their peace. So the sound never rose above the tolerable level. And the staff, they were utterly top notch. Every one of them typified the renowned English politeness, to say it mildly.

The Roseate Villa is charming, well-staffed, across from a beautiful park and within walking distance of Bath's prime attractions. I could walk from the train station. They gave me great recommendations for places to eat. The breakfast was outstanding. Everytime I walked in the door there was someone there to greet me. As a woman travelling alone, I felt at home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roseate Villa, from the very friendly staff and clean rooms, to the closeness to Pulteney Bridge and the center of Bath. Beautiful and easy to get to location too.

Amazing breakfast (pancakes with roasted bananas were incredible). Overall the rooms were in fair condition but nothing amazing. The fixtures and fittings are a bit dated and the bathroom could do with a refresh. The staff was helpful and polite. The location is very central, right next to a park. It’s an ok hotel but a bit overpriced.
