We chose this property mainly based off of the amazing pool that was in the listing. The pool was shut down. There was no where on the listing that warned of the pool closure nor did the staff say anything about it. Our room itself was in awful condition and was not properly cleaned. The room itself had lots of damage. The mirrors had smudges and fingerprints all over it, there was chewed finger nails in the bathroom as well as hair coils in the main area to store your stuff, the one chair we had in the room was soaking wet making the entire room smell of mildew, we found suspected mold on the bathroom wall, the standing lamp that we had did not work at all, there was black marks on the wall where the outlet for the AC was that could’ve been from a past electric issue or fire, and there was no holder for the removable shower head. I took photographs and videos of all said issues. Overall, we were highly disappointed with this hotel which resulted in us staying at a different location for the rest of our vacation.

They advertised an indoor pool and a hot tub (which was the main reason I selected this hotel) and the water heater for the pool and hot tub was broken. Peeling paint, broken shower curtain rod, lamp not working, broken electrical outlet, mediocre breakfast, construction going on, many little things.

I specifically picked this location to be near family who had rented a beach house 7mi away. I specifically looked for a location with a fitness center and indoor pool/laundry. The location listed in Wilmington listed both as amenities. Upon arrival I found the pool closed and the fitness equipment in disrepair. The stepper was broken and wrapped in electrical tape? The nautilus machine also was not functional. Cabling was sloppily strewn about the machine. The laundry machines did not work. I will be sending photos and video it was a disgrace. I stayed at the Drury Inn during ride home and they had it together. Fitness room was clean and functioning pool clean and refreshing a total disappointment for this Wilmington location. I will be uploading pics and photos of this disgrace in Wilmington.

The staff was great we even got an early check in but unfortunately the conditions of the hotel were not up to par. It was dirty, smelled like mold, our room smelled like it was wiped with an old wet rag. We knew they were working hard to get the other rooms ready for the other guests so we did not complain but it was to the point where it made our stomachs hurt.

If you are sensitive to odors, do not stay here! The entire hotel smells of mold and there is an attempt to cover it up with fragrance that is pumping out in the lobby. We were given room 319. I’m almost certain that the worst of the odor is coming from the ac unit in the room. I tried to get a new room but they said they were sold out. I decided to sweat with the ac off to make the odor more bearable and fell asleep with my hands over my mouth and nose. They did switch us to 305 the next day and there was an improvement in the odor but it was still pretty gross.

Vanessa was extremely kind, and provided great customer service. Customer service was second to none but facility left more to be desired. Floors in room look new but there was a strong mildew odor in the room. Pillowcases were wrinkled & hand towel looked used.

Very comfortable beds! Looked exactly like the pictures on the site! Very clean & modern. Nice desk area to work at. Wonderful shower with a great showerhead! Staff was friendly and accommodating! I stayed down the road at a pricier hotel on the beach and wished I could swap out the two hotels!

I liked the Location closer to the Restaurant where I had a great dinner after hours of driving to Wilmington. I didn't like the limitation they put on the TV sound couldn't go lower in volume. They can be more creative by providing Info about sight seeing around. Glad I enjoyed more at Wrightsville beach.

It was quite awful. the hot tub was. broken, the coffee machine in the room was broken, and the hall was full of yelling children late at night. I also think that the place was depressing looking inside. No color. The breakfast was good on Easter.

The air conditioner leaked in our first room. The woman at the front desk was really nice and was able to get us into another room for no additional cost. The second room was bigger but it had an out of order hot tub in it and the room smelled musty, possibly from previous water damage from the out of order hot tub. I was able to get some spray from maintenance to help mask the smell a little bit but still got a headache. Overall it was a place to stay for the night and it wasn’t so bad, but could’ve been better too.

I was a spur of the moment trip and was fortunate to get this property. It was clean and the bed was only a full size bed but comfortable, although I was thinking we were suppose to have a queen size bed.I did not like the smell and seemed to be very humid.

There was on positive and that was the young lady to the left that checked me in. I had issues with tv and internet not working and the other young lady (Looks Puerto Rican hung up on me and then apologize saying the GM told her to hang up and be rude. She seems to be under horrible manager and once I talked to him, he felt bad that the items weren't functioning in my room then says "You can check out and leave knowing all other hotels were booked elsewhere, then he bragged about owning plenty of other hotels. Hilton should really investigate this guy. I will not deal with disrespect and one day he could pay the ultimate price trying to talk down on someone.

The property was ok. The biggest issue is night one the fire alarm went off. Then no hot water. Called the front desk and was told no one else has complained. I explained we were going out and was tons someone would and fix it while we were gone. Got back and still no hot water. As we were checking out an amazing girl was shocked to hear no one had told us that there was no hot water due to a water heater issue. So three days and no hot water. Plus there was a heavy cleaner smell the whole time. Even the tv was odd because it automatically went to a volume of 76 when turned on and wouldn’t go below 13. For the money, I just wish that they had been upfront.

The toilet seat was too small for the actual toilet, there was cracked tiles in the bathroom and badly frayed carpet in the room. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The property was conveniently located for us.

My Sister, my Granddaughter, and I enjoyed our stay at BW PLUS. We were welcomed by Gracie who was so gracious, informative, polite, attentive, businesslike, a great spirit and addition to your team! Our room was clean and if we needed anything, the TAT was fast to resolve. The site was close to all the main attractions (Carolina Beach,Kure Beach,and Downtown) not to mention all the eatery options as well as grocery stores. The lady that prepared the breakfast every morning was so kind and easy to talk to. I apologize for not knowing her name. We will stay again. The only thing I wished for was a better sleeping mattress. We felt safe, BW was clean, and the area was quiet which speaks volumes in my book.

Efficient check in. Expected to have to wait since we arrived early but they allowed us to go right to room. Nice room. Pet friendly but no obnoxious pets or barking. Dog run was clean, safe and equipped. Breakfast was nice. Quiet (but was there during week and off season). Easy access to downtown and the river walk. Definitely will stay again.

It had been a long time since staying in a hotel room with an in-room whirlpool. It was very nice, and a relaxing way to spend Xmas eve on my own (since I'm single, with no spouse or family). One note...the breakfast bar would have been far better with vegan/plant based options. This should be a given by this point in time. No almond or other plant based milk or yogurt. Even the pancake batter had dairy in it. I think it's highly advisable to provide VEGAN options for the breakfast items such as sausage, pancakes, waffles, muffins, yogurt, milk, etc. Many guests like me would really appreciate it, and these items are easily available. At very least, have supplies of them in the back kitchen area, and make them available on request to those who want them.

Needs updating! Bathrooms nasty! Sheets were just awful & had pillings on them big enough you grab with your hands to pull off. Mattress was also awful. Price per night for this stay was ridiculous! Staff for the night time was not pleasant and didn’t explain anything. If you asked a question, she acted like you were such a bother. Staff for the morning was very pleasant and kind. Breakfast was good for a hotel and the staff there was helpful & kind.

Room smell like mildew and dirty. I had to spray and sanitize the room but still smell the same . Pool was freezing . Hot tub freezing and didn’t work . Breakfast was not cook properly before serving. Only thing good was the coffee. Condition has decrease since last visit
