When I entered the room, it was very small. I wasn’t expecting that. To go in front of the bed to get to the bathroom there was about 12 inches and a dresser. When entering the bathroom, the window was open about a 1/2 inch and it could not be opened or closed. The towels were stained and a dingy grey. When I was showering, the wash cloth I used was very dirty!!!! 😳 The bed was great, the air conditioner was blowing cold. The floor looked like it was new, not too bad. I needed to get ice for my cooler and it cost .25 cents for 2 small ice buckets! There was not coffee maker but a nice small refrigerator and microwave.

This is a budget hotel - says so in the name. Expect sirens, a lot of foot traffic, and putting a quarter in to get ice from the machine. Tiny room, train whistles early in the morning, hopefully you are here just to sleep and you have ways of sleeping through less than great conditions. Otherwise the front desk clerk was nice and friendly, you get an assigned parking space, I saw a lot of the traffic was actually other travelers, some of whom are visiting from other countries. Just don't expect too much quiet and comfort.

This is what it is it’s an older budget hotel with rooms, the size of postage stamps. For the prices in Durango, it was a comfortable stay with easy access to restaurants and the main street. It’s literally right across the street from a coffee shop and food as long as your expectations are reasonable Then you’ll have a good stay. One thing I think is absolutely lame is requiring guests to pay a quarter for ice otherwise it’s an average budget hotel.

This place is extremely basic—they only offer coffee at 8 a.m. Literally, this is the only amenity they have. If this is the kind of experience I can expect here, I’d honestly prefer staying at a Motel 6. In fact, some Motel 6 locations are better than this one.

The bathtub needed new caulking, it was black around the wall. I could not see my car where it was parked and worried about it. The other guests were very noisy and there was no way to avoid it. If I complained I don't think it would be safe for the staff to fix the situation.

I will say this. The lady working the front desk was awesome and did everything right. The rooms on the other hand are quite awful. The bathtub/shower had mold in the grout. The drain had a nasty amount of hair in it (not mine) and after inspecting my blanket I noticed blood stains on them. Front desk gave me a note blanket and I suffered thru 2 nights because the room was already paid for. Don’t recommend.

Tub wouldn't hold water. Sink wouldn't drain. Idiot next door turned on the TV, at 4:30am, and kept it on all morning. Our particular assigned parking spot was basically, on the street. Room is so small, you have to turn sideways, to move around. Our room seemed to be clean; however, our (grown) son's room was not very clean. The good news is, it's cheap, by today's standards.

The location is perfect. It is close to a number of attractions in downtown Durango. The parking was okay. You have to drive through narrow alleys to leave. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The disappointing part was the linens and towels. It was evident they were laundered, but considering they are all white, they were all dingy and stained. The towels were super thin and rough feeling. Price wise, if you just want a place to sleep that is clean and plan on being out and about most of the time, pack your own towels and pillow and this will be a good place to stay.

Good price for the time of year. Front desk staff was efficient and excellent. The basics of the room were cleaned but the carpet was pretty bad. Recommend replacing the carpet and treating the baseboards.

Normally, I'd say you get what you pay for, except I don't consider $86/night chopped liver and I've stayed in perfectly decent motels for that price. This Budget Inn was, to put it politely, w-a-y subpar. Threadbare towels, and A/C unit and a refrigerator both so noisy they prevented sleep, a non-working microwave (or, rather, it worked if you jiggled the power cord which had been "repaired" with electrical tape). Just awful.

We stayed in on of the kitchen suites which was an overall great stay, with a few criticisms. There were very few cooking utensils, and we were only provided one fork, so we ended up buying a spatula, which we contributed to the room, and we use an extra plastic forks from when we ate out one night. There was a small coffee maker but no coffee or filters so we bought our own and left them there for the next guests. The biggest complaint we had was the towels, which were old and needed to be replaced, it felt like drying off with sandpaper and would not cost much for the hotel to replace them. Only deducted one star because it was an otherwise great room, it just could have been stocked a bit better and the towels were not great. That said, it was a great stay for the price.

Room 121 is a king room in front of the street. Road traffic is loud. The air conditioner comes on every 20 minutes and I could not shut it off. It is loud too…. The positive is a medium fridge and microwave!

it is exactly as the name says: a Budget Inn. it is very basic, small, old, but clean enough and with a comfortable bed. lodging in Durango is expensive so that also drives the price up of the Budget Inn. The stop of the (free) trolley bus to downtown is next door; perhaps the best perk.

I enjoyed my stay at Budget Inn in Durango. It is in a good location close to the tour company that I was using, room are very basic, but clean, plenty of hot water, safe, and John was pleasant and very helpful. It is right across the street from a nice grocery store and pharmacy. The trolley line stop is very close and provides service to downtown Durango every 20 minutes. I'd stay her again--also the price was much, much less expensive than most of the other places that I looked at.

Rooms were good. AMAZING Coffee shop next door. Pretty central to everything. Let's face it. It's an old building that is slowly getting repair. A nice influx of cash would really bring out the '50s style of this motor lodge. All in all...Noise was my big complaint. Cars are parked literally 3 feet from the door. On the upside...$210 for 3 people, 1 dog and 2 queen beds. I'd stay again.

This hotel is your typical 50's or 60's motel. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and the room was comfortable but I feel that it was very overpriced for what you get in amenities. There was no in room coffee and only one tiny bar of soap. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

Older property and not much to look at outside , but very friendly and accommodating lady at front desk. No breakfast but free coffee in the morning. AC and tv worked well. I'll definitely stay again if I am in the area. Had a nice breakfast at Dennys down the street and a grocery store across the street.
