Excellent and safe location. Will definitely come back. Very lively neighborhood, with great restaurant choices for all kinds and all budgets. The rooms are located within the courtyard of a building, with a gate, which makes it very quiet and safe. Couple minutes of walking distance to the Metro and Tram stations. Short walk to Duomo and the local attractions. Our host Giulia was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations on local attractions and restaurant choices and provided us with a map that shows all local transit options, which was very helpful.

La Locanda del Pino is a B&B located in a nice area of Milan, surrounded by some beautiful residencial buildings; Viennese style (?). The furniture resembles italian antique. My room was big, well furnished, and the private bathroom was also large. Some toiletry is provided. The room is kept clean, daily. The room has a very conveniente expresso machine, with cartridges, and otker breakfast items are provided. In case of needed help, Giulio is at the front desk. Most of the time. Subway station: Porta Venezia at less tnan 5 min walking.

I can’t say enough about how warm and helpful the host Giulio is. Communication was great, he is just the most charming, helpful host that I have personally encountered. The room was good-sized, had air conditioning and was quiet. The facility feels like an old convent with artwork adorning the walls and tables. It was a fairly short cab ride from the train station to the location.

The property was nicely remodeled to provide all contemporary amenities like elevator, AC, shower, bidet, etc. Walls and ceiling were painted a la old Italian masters, it was very nice touch and made good impression.

Very friendly and special B&B hotel located in a cosy part of Milan. Nice restaurants just outside hotel. Unique style and nostalgic hotel, and very friendly and informativ information from the host. We call upon arrivel and he met us within 4 minutes. No 24hour service, but there was simple but good breakfast in the room when we arrived. Coffemachine, tv, frigde and all you need. 15-20 minute walk to Duomo.

Struttura molto carina in Zona Porta Venezia a due passi dalla metro e da Corso Buenos Aires. Molto pulita, accoglienza calorosa e professionale che permette di sentirsi subito a proprio agio. La mia camera era ampia con un bell'armadio, letto comodo con possibilità di scegliere due diversi cuscini, bagno ampio con doccia munita di ampio doccione centrale e doccino mobile con paretina di vetro, molto funzionale e pulito. L'ambiente è abbellito da un arredamento di antiquariato con molte opere d'arte sia nei corridoi della struttura che nelle camere, possibilità di farsi te e caffè in camera. Ambiente molto silenzioso. Prezzi adeguati alla struttura, posizione ottima , esperienza da ripetere.

La Locanda è situata in un angolo di Milano che offre di tutto, locali in quantità e diversità - ben due ristoranti africani nelle immediate vicinanze - un supermercato molto fornito e la metropolitana (Porta Venezia) a pochi metri, si arriva al Duomo con venti minuti a piedi. L'accoglienza del signor Giulio è calorosa e ricca di consigli e indicazioni utili, quanto all'ambiente è sorprendente, soffitti dipinti e icone antiche sparse per ogni dove. Un ampio ascensore, la mia stanza - singola - piccola ma fornita di tutto, silenziosa nonostante il movimento di persone circostante, anche perché l'edificio è all'interno di un cortile e non affaccia sulla strada. In conclusione, un soggiorno estremamente piacevole e un'esperienza da ripetere.

Giullio, the owner is fabulous. From the moment we began communicating with him, he offered exceptional service, detailed directions to find his place & the codes to access his accommodations. He greeted us on the walkway to his entrance with open arms, a huge smile on his face, & a beaming “Welcome”! Honestly the best welcome I have ever received from anyone (other than my aunt). His rooms are clean, with modern floors & wide hallways to easily roll suitcases, and the entire place is sprinkled with beautiful antiques from a previous business of his. The rooms have everything that is needed for any stay: comfy bed, desk, side table, fridge, amenities for the bathroom. The entire place is warm, safe and clean and inviting. Giullio offered recommendations for a morning coffee & croissant at a French bakery around the corner, appetizers and cocktails by the Grand Canal, he walked us to the restaurant to make our dinner reservations with us & to ensure we knew where we were going. He pointed out where to shop for reasonably priced clothing. He was nothing short of an incredible host!! We wish we could have stayed with GIULLIO for longer !! Highly recommend. Will only stay here if we return to Milan.

We stayed for two nights. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Bed was ok but general cleaning could have been better. Dust on several places, top of cable channels, around window etc. The reception manager was very friendly and helpful, he suggested places to visit and eat. We got good advice. I do recomment to stay here, good location for a trip to Milano, would not recommend to be more than one pair in this apartment.

A gem of a find in Milan. I was upgraded to a larger room, which was enormous. The location was fantastic, walking distance to everything, plus less than 5mins to the clisest metro station. Lots of lical food options and shops close by. Staff were super friendly and very helpful.

Really recommended place!!! Knowing Giulio is already worth the visit to this locanda... Absolute top host!! The building is beautiful by itself and the rooms are very originally laid out and decorated. Those paintings on the ceilings are simply superb. Beds are really comfy which is a pleasant surprise. Summarising... Well worth staying here when visiting Milan.

The check in was my worst experience of staying in hotels in 3 decades of business and personal travel in 4 continents. Way too complex and poorly explained before arrival. There should be a warning before booking this place that check in is problematic. Breakfast was a joke; old croissant and dry toast in plastic bags. Pillows were old and very compressed. A place to avoid in the future.

Giullio, the owner is fabulous. From the moment we began communicating with him, he offered exceptional service, detailed directions to find his place & the codes to access his accommodations. He greeted us on the walkway to his entrance with open arms, a huge smile on his face, & a beaming “Welcome”! Honestly the best welcome I have ever received from anyone (other than my aunt). His rooms are clean, with modern floors & wide hallways to easily roll suitcases, and the entire place is sprinkled with beautiful antiques from a previous business of his. The rooms have everything that is needed for any stay: comfy bed, desk, side table, fridge, amenities for the bathroom. The entire place is warm, safe and clean and inviting. Giullio offered recommendations for a morning coffee & croissant at a French bakery around the corner, appetizers and cocktails by the Grand Canal, he walked us to the restaurant to make our dinner reservations with us & to ensure we knew where we were going. He pointed out where to shop for reasonably priced clothing. He was nothing short of an incredible host!! We wish we could have stayed with GIULLIO for longer !! Highly recommend. Will only stay here if we return to Milan.

Nice property overall. I sleep well. Shower door fall apart, on my first day. Owner fix it right away. It's a bit challenging to use the tea pot. Since, In Italy, electrical plugs and outlets aren't standardized.

Keeping in mind that it is set up as a guesthouse and not a full service hotel, it served my needs perfectly: a room for a couple nights en route to somewhere else. For that it offers tremendous value for a convenient location in a charming historic neighborhood with many great eateries and bars in the area and museums within walking distance. The proprietor is veru helpful and always available to answer questions via text if not at the desk. The property is near a subway stop with a connection to Limate airport and a tram line going right to the central rail station

I loved my stay at La Locanda. Easy to find, close to lots of food and transit options, and the interior is really cool. Giulio was really efficient in assisting me with checking in and super kind in greeting me when I arrived and helping me find my way around. I'd definitely stay here again and I recommend others to do the same.

I liked the variety of restaurants on adjoining blocks; the metro, central station, and most museums were within walking distance. Giulio was a welcoming host who checked in with us to make sure we didn’t have any issues finding the B&B or had delays with travel. He welcomed us like old friends and gave us recommendations on the area, including the best places to eat along with where to park. Tip: If renting a vehicle, get the smallest car you can that will accommodate all your luggage, don’t get sold on the “upgrade. Parking will be easier. The room was quaint, clean and quiet and the area felt safe to walk at night. Having a grocery store close allowed us to get fresh fruit and water at reasonable prices. Our check-out was easy and sad as we had to leave our host. Highly Recommended!

Excellent and safe location. Will definitely come back. Very lively neighborhood, with great restaurant choices for all kinds and all budgets. The rooms are located within the courtyard of a building, with a gate, which makes it very quiet and safe. Couple minutes of walking distance to the Metro and Tram stations. Short walk to Duomo and the local attractions. Our host Giulia was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He gave us great recommendations on local attractions and restaurant choices and provided us with a map that shows all local transit options, which was very helpful.

This was a great and charming place to stay as a solo traveller! The host was lovely and offered many great suggestions to add to my itinerary. The neighborhood is lively and chic, with tons of amazing restaurant and bar options nearby, and I felt very safe day and night. The Porta Venezia train station is a few minutes walk to easily get anywhere you want in the city, although walking as much as possible is recommended to get the best feel for the vibe of the city. I highly recommend this B&B!

Property is located at a premium location. One can reach in 10 mnts from Milano Centrale via Metro. There are multiple restaurants at walking distance. Duomo and Via MonteNapolione are 10 mnts walk from the property. It's a vintage property nicely done with all facilities. Most importantly the host Giulio is a fantastic host. He is super helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place in Milan. I was travelling with my wife so this place is very couple friendly.

Very nice stay. The personal was very kind to send my the self check in by WhatsApp, because it was a strike and the trains delayed. It is 20 min walking to the duomo and 15 min or less with the tram to the central train station. many restaurants and café near by

Great location and nice owner. There are many good dining options near the hotel as well as shopping. The nice thing is that it is away from the tourist area yet a 25 min walk to Duomo. If you are a light sleeper this property might not be the best as you can hear a lot of street noise and garbage and recycling in the morning. Good price.

The check in was my worst experience of staying in hotels in 3 decades of business and personal travel in 4 continents. Way too complex and poorly explained before arrival. There should be a warning before booking this place that check in is problematic. Breakfast was a joke; old croissant and dry toast in plastic bags. Pillows were old and very compressed. A place to avoid in the future.

La Locanda del Pino is a B&B located in a nice area of Milan, surrounded by some beautiful residencial buildings; Viennese style (?). The furniture resembles italian antique. My room was big, well furnished, and the private bathroom was also large. Some toiletry is provided. The room is kept clean, daily. The room has a very conveniente expresso machine, with cartridges, and otker breakfast items are provided. In case of needed help, Giulio is at the front desk. Most of the time. Subway station: Porta Venezia at less tnan 5 min walking.

Very friendly and special B&B hotel located in a cosy part of Milan. Nice restaurants just outside hotel. Unique style and nostalgic hotel, and very friendly and informativ information from the host. We call upon arrivel and he met us within 4 minutes. No 24hour service, but there was simple but good breakfast in the room when we arrived. Coffemachine, tv, frigde and all you need. 15-20 minute walk to Duomo.

Locanda is beautiful. Our train was delayed so we arrived well after the witching hour of 7pm, but our host was sympathetic. Unfortunately we had to leave first thing in the morning so we couldn't try the breakfast. The place is not easy to find - especially in the dark. It's round a corner in Melzo St and you probably need a mobile to get in. For the tiny minority of s who are mobile free zones, life becomes increasingly more difficult...
