I was looking for a place to lay my head that wouldn’t break the bank. This motel accomplished that. It is a motel, not a hotel. It is very functional, very few amenities. Check-in was fast and easy, no frills. People left me alone. I dropped the room key at the front desk when I left and didn’t speak to anyone. It worked well for my needs.

Bad odors. Shower had mold .Very outdated. No smoke alarm. I honestly wanted to leave but I was too tired. Parking lot was in bad shape with potholes. I would never go back.

Entrance to resort property has huge potholes that could swallow a car. Room had a faint smell of weed. Mattress isnt a 5 star comfort bed, but still a place to rest your head. Grass hadnt been mowed about 8-10 inches long. Many long term residents with all their bbq and party supplies out in front of tgeir room. Still felt relatively safe and respected.

trouble locking the door, noisey neighbors that obviosly lived there, very outdated. has coffee pot but no cups etc. close to lake. could be a nice place with some TLC and removal of riff raff living there

Locally owned motel that was definitely dated but clean. King sized bed was comfortable. Excellent price and restaurant was within walking distance. Amenities such as fuel and food were close. As for cons the bathroom is tiny. Walk in shower was adequate. While sitting on the toilet you could easily wash your hands. With the door closed, which didn’t latch, you could barely stand in front of the sink without touching the door. Our mini fridge didn’t work which was disappointing. We stayed 2 nights and had to use our cooler. Also bring your own shampoo and soaps. Only a small bar and one time use shampoo was provided. With all that being said, would still stay again for the price paid and location.

Its a little rough around the edges, but it's right on the water with nice views that are a 30 sec walk away. I wouldn't stay here if you're looking for gorgeous rooms and amazing facilities. The shower head is about 5' hight, great for short people and the sink is super close to the toilet. I kept hitting my my head when getting up. It's dog friendly, which was perfect. The staff was very friendly and an easy check in process. It was pretty noisy, there was music being played outside, maybe a party or something. Over all, great for the price. Def lovely surprise with the lake views.

I did not actually stay at Sun & Snow Motel, because the room I was assigned, although it was a non-smoking room reeked of smoke. They assigned me to another room, which was just as bad, so I cancelled my stay!

My first room smelled like sewage (room 22). It was very annoying. The desk clerk provided another room and mentioned he just paid for a cleaning services and it should not be that way. I got another room (19). It smelled like cigarette smoke. I had to leave the door open in a blizzard to air it out. It helped a little. I really enjoyed walking over to Lakeside charlie's next store. The highlight of my stay.

Honestly I was expecting much worse, but this stay was just right. Cozy cabin feel with comfortable beds, nothing extravagant at all but perfectly good for 2 nights. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The towels and toiletries left much to be desired but that’s not what we were traveling for. 100% exactly what to expect for $60 a night. Location was great for local amenities; great restaurant and bar next door, just a short walk to the lake, we had a great time at the bowling alley just a block away and only 20 min to the ski hill. Was greeted warmly and surprised to come back from a day of skiing to a tidied room and beds made. Will definitely be back.

Surprisingly clean for the price- unfortunately you have no control over the heat. It was zero degrees outside and i couldn't get the room below 75, even with a window open. I normally sleep at 65 so that was unbearable for me. Didn't sleep a wink in that heat

Overall, the place was well equipped, and the surrounding area is beautiful – perfect for relaxing. Just a small note: I missed having a charging outlet right next to the bed to easily charge my phone overnight. Other than that, everything was great – I’d definitely stay here again!

I didn’t expect greatness from this place, but did expect acceptable. Unfortunately, I didn’t find much that was acceptable from the moment my van nearly disappeared in the enormous pot holes in the main entrance to my departure 7 days later. The construction workers obviously keep this business alive, and are allowed to be obnoxiously loud all night despite multiple complaints as you’ll read in many other reviews. I was lucky enough to also have active roofing and remodeling projects above and next door to me during my stay. They are too stingy to even provide simple commodities such as coffee packets, unless you go to the office to request them, and are lucky enough to get the unfriendly manager to come out to help you. Old, not fancy, not 5 star service are all good with lower price point motels. This place takes these concepts to a level beyond imagination. Don’t stay here. They don’t care. They don’t need you. They don’t want you. You’ll just be getting in the way of their affordable housing for construction workers business!

Honestly I was expecting much worse, but this stay was just right. Cozy cabin feel with comfortable beds, nothing extravagant at all but perfectly good for 2 nights. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The towels and toiletries left much to be desired but that’s not what we were traveling for. 100% exactly what to expect for $60 a night. Location was great for local amenities; great restaurant and bar next door, just a short walk to the lake, we had a great time at the bowling alley just a block away and only 20 min to the ski hill. Was greeted warmly and surprised to come back from a day of skiing to a tidied room and beds made. Will definitely be back.

The motel was in an exceptional location! Walk right out of the parking an onto the beach. Bathroom was tiny and the shower drain smelled like sewage and only got worse after we showered.

Locally owned motel that was definitely dated but clean. King sized bed was comfortable. Excellent price and restaurant was within walking distance. Amenities such as fuel and food were close. As for cons the bathroom is tiny. Walk in shower was adequate. While sitting on the toilet you could easily wash your hands. With the door closed, which didn’t latch, you could barely stand in front of the sink without touching the door. Our mini fridge didn’t work which was disappointing. We stayed 2 nights and had to use our cooler. Also bring your own shampoo and soaps. Only a small bar and one time use shampoo was provided. With all that being said, would still stay again for the price paid and location.

Our location was within walking distance of the water which was a wonderful surprise for us! The price was also perfect for us. I had been driving all day, so when we couldn't find the motel we had become exasperated. Finally, after 45 minutes of driving around the area, we asked the clerk at Thirsty convenience shop and he gave us specific landmarks. This made it easier. I'm glad we stayed!

Its a little rough around the edges, but it's right on the water with nice views that are a 30 sec walk away. I wouldn't stay here if you're looking for gorgeous rooms and amazing facilities. The shower head is about 5' hight, great for short people and the sink is super close to the toilet. I kept hitting my my head when getting up. It's dog friendly, which was perfect. The staff was very friendly and an easy check in process. It was pretty noisy, there was music being played outside, maybe a party or something. Over all, great for the price. Def lovely surprise with the lake views.

My first room smelled like sewage (room 22). It was very annoying. The desk clerk provided another room and mentioned he just paid for a cleaning services and it should not be that way. I got another room (19). It smelled like cigarette smoke. I had to leave the door open in a blizzard to air it out. It helped a little. I really enjoyed walking over to Lakeside charlie's next store. The highlight of my stay.
