My car’s back window was broken on hotel’s parking lot during midnight, the theft took away 2 bags from my car. . No elevator in the hotel building, so it’s difficult to carry all my luggages to room. It’s very terrible experience. The parking lot of the hotel is very easy for the theft passing cross, so it’s very unsafe to park in the hotel’s park lot. There are a lot of homeless in the city. It’s very unsafe to stay there.

We've stayed here several times while passing through town, and it is a good value for the money. Clean comfy rooms, decent breakfast, the kids enjoy the pool, and centrally located near UO campus. Downsides are the buildings are very spreadout with no elevators. The restaurant and bar were closed the day we went, which wasn't a big deal but seemed silly since they had just sent me an auto-text an hour before we checked in encouraging us to checkout the new bar.

Great location For the Matthew Knight arena - just a walk across the street ! Great customer service and help by Aurelia on the phone prior to check in and throughout our 2day stay. Also helpful were employees David and Chris. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was nice. All hard working wonderful staff. Well managed from what I can tell. Oh we also enjoyed the indoor pool and the awesome shuffle board in the bar. Fun. Definitely would recommend staying here. We had room 109 in the Hillyard section. It was very quiet, private , and off the balcony is a peaceful little stream. Great stay. Thank you so much !

This room was good for you value with the exception of the tack strip that poked all of us . It was spacious and it had a very cute balcony. The beds were average for comfort shower had a great hot water. The pool stayed open late, which was one of the things that attracted us to this hotel. Some of the rooms are detached from the main hotel is there in separate buildings and they do have stairs without an elevator. If there’s anybody who has physical disabilities, the staff was absolutely amazing.

Pro = comfortable bed, slept very well. Breakfast was plentiful and good choices. Con = The pool did not open until 9 a.m. I like a 7 a.m. swim, so disappointed that I could not use the pool in the morning.

Great property and we will stay again. Staff was excellent. Only drawback is parking is tight. We came in later in the evening and is was hard to find a good spot that was not too narrow or close to our room.

Place has a ton of potential. Super cute with nice amenities. Our room was dusty, floor was a little dirty, and there was a floor lamp in the corner that was broken. Seems like the details were overlooked.

The rooms are always spotless and there are a lot of amenities on site - gym, pool, a well stocked little market, and full breakfast. I really like how well the beds are made. It sounds weird, but a lot of places don’t tuck the sheets in securely like Hayward Inn does.

I was not real happy about not getting room service even though it says daily room service. When I asked for clean towels and some more soap, all I got was literally towels no wash rags and no soap. My garbage is were overfilling.. come on… don’t advertise daily room service and then tell me they only do room service on Thursdays.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and the beds were Full size instead. The size of the beds in this hotel is not as advertised and therefore the comfort of our family suffered significantly. My kid rolled off the bed twice, thankfully we put a bunch of pillows below anticipating something like this might happen as the beds were so small.

I loved my stay, the river outside my balcony was very serene. The property is in a great location, the staff was warm and friendly and helpful. I arrived a bit early and they got me into my room early! Nice lobby , with a bar and restaurant and a big nice pool. The room was very clean and lots of extras to make me feel at home there. I’m very happy I stayed there and look forward to staying there again!

The Hayward Inn was fine, but their Wi-Fi was terrible. I stayed there six nights and was never able to use my laptop in my room. I had to go to the lobby and it would only work there part time. I took my laptop to a computer shop and they said my laptop was fine, the problem was a weak Wi-Fi signal. If you need or want to use your laptop in your room the Hayward Inn is not the place to stay.

Let's start with the very unfriendly and unhelpful staff at the Hayward Inn. One of their managers made it clear that by using an outside booking site, I was not entitled to the same level of service as their own direct bookings. Her repeated use of the phrase "you booked through a third party" made it clear that I was a second class guest in her opinion, and to contact "them" with any questions or problems. So take that Expedia - they hate you! Another front desk person took particular glee in informing me that the two prior front desk people were wrong, and that I had to check out and then recheck in to another room. The assistant GM then said maybe they had a "training opportunity". I'll say; the whole place could use some basic customer service training. Just stay away. There are better options in town, and I have never before experienced disdain for using hotels.com You would think my money would be as good as anyones.

Everything about our stay at The Hayward Inn was wonderful! Jan at the front desk was very kind, helpful and welcoming. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. It was PERFECT and it exceeded my expectations.

The staff was friendly and the room was large and nice. The downside was the bathroom mirror was dirty. The room was not ready by check in time at 4 pm. I was a little surprised we weren’t offered something for having to wait. Even the offer of a cup of tea while we waited would have been nice.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. Check-in was a breeze. My room was very spacious, a super comfortable bed, lots of pillows, coffee, mini-fridge, and microwave. Each room has a small deck with a little table and a couple of chairs. The pool area was very clean. I had delicious sliders and an old-fashioned in the bar for dinner. The breakfast room was large and had lots of options. I would love to have spent more time here but needed to get an early start. (I would love to post pix, but they're on my phone and I don't think I can edit to add.) I'll def stop here any time I'm passing through and need a safe place to stop.

We were impressed at the amenities and the cleanliness for the money. The only bad thing to say about this stay was the front desk guy named Ian. He was very unprofessional. My interaction with him was awkward. If not for him, it would be 5 stars across the board.

We had no issues whatsoever with the room/stay. Very easy/convenient check-in, especially since we checked in rather late. The room itself was really nice and spacious. However, the lack of elevator can be a bit of a problem for rooms on the 3rd floor, but it was manageable. NGL, we were disturbed to see a car that was broken into when we were leaving in the morning. Definitely don't leave anything of value in the car overnight.

Hayward Inn was a really nice, clean, modern hotel. The value for the price was excellent. The location was perfect for our visit to the University of Oregon pretty much right across the street from the Matthew Knight Arena. A short walk to the river and across to the park that leads to Autzen Field. Parking was free which is nice and breakfast was included in our rate. There’s a pizza place that’s open late right next door and a Starbucks a few steps away. Great hotel we will be back anytime we are in town to go to the university.

After our long 6+ hours of road travel, I would have to say our stay with this hotel was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and our kids enjoyed the pool. The rooms were very clean, updated and comfy, and the surrounding dining options were a nice plus. The only things that were a subpar was the parking, it was quite tight for such a nice hotel. Breakfast overall was okay, I wished there would have been more options, and it seemed to get pretty busy at one point without staff staying attentive to refill items. For a nicer end hotel, I was hoping for more hot breakfast items. Additional, it would be good to consider in the future options that would be great for families that have cultural diet restrictions. This didn't impact our family directly, but I noticed there was a family there that didn't have much for options because of that. The breakfast room is quite large but some folks spilled into the nearby restaurant/bar lounging area which worked but I wasn't really sure that it was an okay thing to do. Overall this was as great experience and I would definitely stay at this place if I were in the area again. Thank you for a great experience!

Pros: Perfect location for a Matthew Knight Arena event. Lobby staff excellent even though slammed with arrivals. Great room, clean, comfortable, 2 separate sinks, separate toilet. Cons: Parking tight. Pool locked before posted closing time. Hands down this will be our go-to lodging for future MKA events
