Our stay was very pleasant, the staff was friendly, polite, and very helpful. The grounds were clean and manicured. The hotel was clean and so were the rooms. The breakfast was very good, and well supplied. Our only complaint was the closest space. My wife and I will love to stay here, every time we come to Pittsburgh.

I have stayed in other hotels in area, and the Fairfield in is SUPER CLEAN!! The breakfast was good. I would definitely rate 5 stars. I travel to area often and will definitely will book here

I was upgraded just because and it was a nice feeling to feel appreciated. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The elevators were dingy and needed cleaned. Though the room was spotless.

Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast very good. Hotel is clean and close to restaurants and bars. Great location! We have previously stayed here and will continue to stay here when visiting Pittsburgh. Our only suggestion is DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 516. It smelled like curry and garlic. We had a "refresh" ...well maybe irritated the cleaning staff because our alarm clock went off at 530am the next morning. The "refresh " did nothing...it still stinks. It wasn't a huge deal breaker as we were only sleeping there and after being in the room for an hour, our noses acclimated. We will still stay here for future visits, just next time if room stinks insist on a new room...the smells don't go away.

It was typical room when I first went in there was a musty smell it didn’t go away for some time. But I only stayed one night and the smell went away or I got used to it. Staff was very friendly. Is this one of the best I’ve stayed at no but not the worst either.

The noise from the hallway and generator outside made it next to impossible to sleep. It was loud. It never fails-whenever I book a Marriott property thru Expedia they put me in the noisiest and worst possible room. It was a lot of $$ for a sleepless night.

We stayed 5 nights for a family event and had multiple rooms. The hotel was nice, modern and in a good location...BUT..they never once serviced any of our rooms. If you needed towels, you had to ask, if you needed body wash or shampoo (everything seemed to be out in multiple rooms) you had to ask. If you needed tissues or bathroom tissue, you had to ask. They gave us 1.5 rolls of very flimsy paper and expected it to last 5 days with two people in the room. And when they delivered the fresh towels as we requested, they never took the pile of used wet ones out. It was very frustrating. When we asked why their response was...well did you ask us to do it? So if you want ANY type of service you need to beg..I mean ask. The front desk staff was a bit of a challenge as well. We either got rude attendants - one literally yelled at my husband on day three - 'Hey you, are you checking in or what?' (insert nasty tone) as he stood in the lobby waiting for me to come in from parking the car. That said, there were a few that were very nice. More that were not. Breakfast was good, especially the coffee. All in all it was a very mixed bag.

Check in was quick and easy even though we requested a room change that was different from our original reservation. Our rooms as well as the hotel in general were very clean. We had no problems. McCandless Crossing which is immediately adjacent to the hotel provides many shopping and dining options.

Overall the hotel was perfect for what we needed, a clean bed and bathroom for a quick trip to PA. I have to remember to bring my own pillows like we normally do since the ones in the room were flat. Check in left a little to be desired, but I extended our stay by one night and had booked two different stays at the hotel so there seemed to be confusion, but the girl we spoke to the next morning understood what I did and took care of the future issue I anticipated. Breakfast was ok, typical free breakfast at most places, but the food area is pretty small and there should be two different coffee stations. Hotel is clean and in a safe area with plenty of shopping and dining options not far and even within walking distance.
