Terra Vista Chalet

If you’re looking for somewhere completely off the grid with no TV or employees on site, this place is perfect. It has charming decor and you’re in a secluded area surrounded by meadows, and we were lucky to see Elk and deer graze. But the walls are paper thin and there are signs to please “mediate” the sound. If you need clean towels, they’re provided in a common area to replenish yourself. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but overall, it was comfortable.

The view was breathtaking, and the room was wonderful! There was even a fireplace for heat, which made it extra cozy. From our room, we could see deer walking around, it’s the perfect spot for nature lovers. The only thing that could be improved is the entry and exit access. There’s only one road in and out, so you have to be really careful when entering or leaving the property.

Stunning property. The location is stunning and fairly easy to locate. The room, The Pine, was very luxerious. Loved the sitting area down stairs, huge windows looking over the hills and forrest. If you want a treat, book it

Room was great, staff was great, but: 1. No TV 2. Walls and floors not sound proof, heard people above walking and talking, heard TV and/or music (bass) below. I guess that’s why they had ear plugs on a tray by the bed. 3. Location very remote, via pot-hole dirt roads, fortunately we arrived just before dark otherwise we would have missed the left turn (described as a fork).

Beautiful property tucked behind the mountains. Loved the room and common areas. The only complaint is that the walls are very thin and I could here the person snoring in the ajoining room.my n

Beautiful scenery around the chalet. The suits are upstairs, the walls are thin and the location is only accessible from a gravel road. We knew all of that before we booked so we were ok to compromise on those things and were aware going in. There was plenty of signage and good communication with the establishment (earplugs were provided for sleeping; that was an extra bonus)- as long as you read the signage and the communiques and everyone follows the rules, this place can’t be beat. We saw wildlife every day there and on clear nights, the stars lit up the sky. Excellent.

We loved the fireplace and the views from the balcony. The room was big and conformable. Common are great room was beautiful and stocked with board games to play on a quiet, relaxing evening. The location is not to far from Port Angeles but feels very remote, like you are deep in the woods but without all the people you find at places like Sul Duc or Lake Crescent Lodge, but still very close to both.

This is a fantastic location for anyone looking to explore the national park. We enjoyed how isolated the property was but how quickly you could drive to Port Angeles. Beautiful property surrounded by mountains and forests. Truly enjoyed it. Spent a lot of time in Great Room listening to the records.

Beautifully appointed small inn near Port Angeles and Olympic National Park. Great design and furnishings. Lovely location. Locating the property and check in are a bit cryptic - never actually interacted with a 3D person- but would still highly recommend.

The first thing you see is an old RV parked on the outside. No attempt at curb appeal for the actual chalet. Plumbing noises are very loud; sounds like the neighbors toilet and shower are in your room. No earplugs are going to dampen that noise. Bed was not comfortable. Signs posted asking everyone to be quiet, but you can hear all footsteps and doors. WiFi worked though. Coffee supplies were never replaced.

The place itself is amazing - gives you the feel for living in the forest. The chalet decor is amazing, everything was clean and fresh. The 2 issues I have are, the narrow entrance driving up to the chalet which can only fit 1 car seems very dangerous - especially for a first time guest arriving late at night. Second is that the chalet walls are very thin. You can hear conversation, every footstep and toilet flush from other rooms. Maybe there is a way to soundproof the chalet. I think if soundproofing is done and if the entrance is made more safe to drive in the night - I think this is an amazing place that people should definitely check out.

We had a wonderful stay in the Cedar room. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. They provide a white noise machine and earplugs, and for good reason, the walls aren't very thick, so you can hear the folks in the other room. 🙉We liked having our own bathroom. The fireplace was very cozy!

Our stay at this chalet was awesome! A very charming, quiet and clean property, located in serene surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and will gladly return to stay!

So here's the deal. The images of this property are extremely misleading. It looks luxurious, yet I've had better nights of sleep and a better shower while tent camping. [I normally stay @ Aloft / Mariott / Fairfield / Residence Inn] First - we arrived and it appeared that we were the only people on the property. Cool - romantic getaway without any distractions. Then, we open the door to our room only to find a bed full of soiled linens, towels on the floor, and a hat hanging on the coat rack. Call to the manager, no problem, move to the next room. Get in and it's clean, but we were freezing and it took 20 minutes to figure out the fireplace [only way to get heat] and another 30 to make any difference. While waiting for some warmth, we read some of the feedback in the guest book... Let's just say that it was very mixed. The bathroom was... sub par at best. Toilet was wobbly. Shower head had a bunch of misdirected streams. Scalding hot, or ice cold. Totally uncomfortable. Super stingy with the provided shampoos, soaps and lotions. Lastly - the bed. I've slept on futons from Ikea that were more comfortable. This was lumpy and uncomfortable. The images look beautiful, but everything in the place is cheap and low quality. It's convenient, a beautiful setting, and a step below a roadside motel. Thankfully, we were the only ones on the property, otherwise we would have discovered why there were earplugs and sound machine... Booked another hotel for the rest of our stay.

Location is wonderful room was great. Only issue is the shower pressure was extremely low. Shower and toilet flushing noise from the room upstairs was like a typhoon passing overhead. Which was unfortunate when trying to sleep.

This is an absolutely gorgeous property. However the walls are very thin and you can hear people sneezing and using the toilet in the next room. The bed was not comfortable at all.

I do not recommend it to you, I wanted to rest here for two nights and ended up even more tired. I arrived late at the hotel and was very tired, the bed was terrible. The bed creaked with every movement. The shower, if you can call it that, because I barely washed off the foam from the shower gel, there was no talk of washing my hair, since the shower pressure was barely dripping rain. And I was warned that if I wanted hot water to go, I needed to open the tap in the sink. An interesting system for such a lot of money…

The fireplace was easy to use and added to the ambiance. Big bathroom and nice shower. Perfect place to stay if you’re exploring the Olympics. Located near lake crescent and mount storm king. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfectly sited building amidst the forest, mountains and river. Great bed. Wonderful drinking water. Exceptional peace & quiet. Well managed automated check-in process.

Everything worked out fine, but it wasn't what I was expecting when I arrived. I think I missed some instructions that they sent out. I expected to be heading to a hotel, but it is more of a VRBO type of setup. The place is at the end of a dirt road and has no on site personal. Use your code to get into your room and off you go! Once I got adjusted everything went well. The place is nice. The room was nice. Deer everywhere.

Wonderful beautiful place! We were nervous driving down long gravel road, not sure what to expect. Then deer everywhere and gorgeous scenery! Property manager lives onsite and very friendly and helpful. Such a pleasant beautiful place and the room was lovely! Very organized employees! We Highly recommend!!!

Could have been a sign on the road... anything really out on the main road...that points you in the right direction! Still amazed that nothing indicates you clearly to the place. I blew right by it and had to backtrack. Also, staff is a bit standoffish...i requested a late checkout at 9:30 am and never received anything from them (even though received several texts prior). C'mon!!! nobody else even at the property and i cant get a late checkout??? Preposterous!!

Loved thus place, done really well and really nice hosts It was a great place to base out of two part two hike in the Olympic national park.

Thru no fault of the property the bridge was out and we got lost on a dirt road so it took us 3 hours to get there from the town 10 miles away. Was so dark we couldn’t find any signs for the property and the turn off was after the bridge closed sign so kept turning around. Finally found it and loved it but my wife still isn’t speaking to me. lol.

There is nothing in the property description that states all rooms are on a 2nd floor and require stairs to access the room. We had the Sequoia room, it was nicely decorated. However, absolutely no storage area for clothing, nor storing personal hygiene items in the bathroom. Just a basic sink top and vanity cabinet, small ledge for the window. No dining options near the property, you will need to drive to Port Angles for restaurants. Some type of "sound" device on the nightstand, no information on what it is or is used for. Fireplace controlled by the wall thermostat. Nice balcony for viewing the grounds, saw a deer. As seniors, we would not stay here again due to the stairs, however, it would be a good place for younger guests who enjoy hiking in the area. Owner did respond quickly to my texts as we were driving to the location. We found extra towels and coffee pods in the wardrobe located in the lodge room (per info provided in our room).

This property was secluded and romantic. It was a bit off the beaten path and definitely not close to many restaurants. The walls are very thin but the property did provide a white noise machine and ear plugs in the event we needed them. We spent one night here and it was a very nice romantic evening.
