Very nice basic Hotel. Restaurant on site is ok limited. Half of the menu items were not available. Pina coladas were awesome. Pool is very nice. Breakfast was goid. I would definitely stay here again.

From desk comunicación was very bad They only give you a piece of paper to sign and fill it out. Some questions they don’t tell you nothing about the Wi-Fi. They don’t tell you. Nothing About The Breakfast. They don’t tell you anything about communication around. Also, the room is not the same as it shows on the picture. Also, the AC didn’t work three times. I reported it and they come out. We’re gonna check and nothing happened. The blanket of the bed. It was awful hair de dinner. La de David Before Was scanner crimping. Espagueti seafood was not the same. Not very friendly hotel, and they don’t help you with communication. They communication with our Customer is out of control. I will not recommend it.mu was 215 also no elevator

First room was musty. Sink stopper was broken and hair dryer came off the wall. Changed rooms the next morning as the safe was locked upon arrival and they could not locate the key. Second room had a balcony over the pool. Wonderful view. No issues with this room. Staff are friendly but besides staff at reception, no one else spoke English ie housekeeping, maintenence, bar staff, breakfast staff. Another reason for me to learn the beautiful Spanish language. Room was spacious and clean. Air conditioning and room fan worked very well. Ample restaurants 1-5 minute walk away. Convenience store 1 minute away for drinks and snacks. Bar staff opened our beer bottles but must drinknin our room as there is a bar at the pool. Makes perfect sense. Will definitely stay here

The price is good. Great for the price you pay. Service was good . There is a restaurant on site, food is pretty good for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is limited but still good, pool good and clean, gym is small but next door has a big gym for like $10 a day usd. 2 food places , mini store and emergency/ clinic on the same block. Hotel staff is good for customer service , rooms are clean for the star rating, air turns off with key, one key only given. They have a transport that brings you to their sister hotel every day for $$ to get the all inclusive experience between before I think 5pm or something . Didn’t use the hotel For that. It was a short stay because was at the capcana area for a few days. This is 20 mins away from airport and 12 mins from downtown punta cana . I always stay here for at least 2 nights when in punta cana for the easy ride to and from the airport instead the long process moving in and out of the major resorts . Will be back

Doña Rosa definitely took good care of us, upgraded us to a suite and what a beautiful stay! Pool was awesome and perfect temperature, food was awsome, we had a charbroiled burger was delicious, some coco flan and coffe also, pina colada was on point! Will definitely come back here, close to everything, free shuttle to beach and so much more!

The service was excellent and the hotel and rooms were very clean. Pool was amazing and clean as well. Very lovely place.

Although it’s not close to the beach, they offer a shuttle to Bávaro Beach that was very convenient for us. We’d come back :)

Did not get enough towels and were slow to replenish them they were very stingy with how many towels they gave us. The bed frames had mold spots as well all over the shower tile and bathroom wall tiles. Did not feel Or look clean. Not to mention already mosquitoes in the room, the curtains had some questionable stains, Gross. And the perimeter of the property had barbed wire surrounding it I didn’t feel Safe.

The staff at this property is fantastic! Rosa, the receptionist, was helpful and made me feel safe. The property itself was spotless and well-maintained.

When I read the reviews for this place I expected a great stay, but this place was completely below my expectations. The staff was nice, but the property itself is in a construction area, hot with no elevators, the water was warm at best, and totally outdated. The first room they brought us to was not clean, and the next room was still slightly dirty with tons or flys, moths, and mosquitoes everywhere. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy place to stay this is the place for you, but don’t expect much. No transportation was provided so expect to spend for that too.

Worst experience ever!!!!! No elevator, No air conditioner, I couldn’t sleep at all. At 2:10 am I had to go down to the lobby because it was extremely hot, the room had no electricity at the time of check in. We booked 7 rooms and we all had the same issue, I would never recommend this place to anyone. People were screaming in the hallways demanding something to be done to fix these issues. We paid for 7 king bedrooms, we got double beds instead. Very noisy, right next to the highway which also made it a lot harder to sleep. I want my money back!!!

Staff was excellent. Very professional and friendly. Food was good and inexpensive. Nice swimming pool area. Rooms were good. TV reception was poor. WiFi was sub-par.

Great pool and indoor patio. We were a group that rented 4 rooms. All of them in the 3rd floor. None of them had functioning air conditioning. Reported multiple times and just got round around answers. After 4 hours my room was change and there wan not much difference in the new one. I do not recomend this hotel.

Must use key card to turn on electric in room. No towels available, safe doesn't work and there is a stove in kitchen but no dishware

The property isn't bad, and breakfast is good. Rooms are the most basic. No spare bedding, cups, saucers nothing.

They need to have utensils in the room. The 5 would include like a microwave

I enjoyed my stay at Whala! The staff were amazing and always ready to help. Thank you to Rosa to check us in and ensure that we are okay. A big shout out to Victor he’s always ready to help with a warm smile even when he’s busy.

There are several things that needs work, from check in to the actual room. I will post another review as I had several reservations. 1. No wash cloths/ rag provided. Where in the world does a hotel inform guest that they do not provide rags/wash cloth and we should go off property to purchase our own? Please fix this. This is one of the essential things that a hotel SHOULD provide 2. One keycard - 3 adults booked a room and we had so much inconvenience as we all had to share one key. If someone was showering or sleeping we had to go to the front desk to get let in. They would automatically cancel the OTHER key. The front desk told us it was not possible to make two keys. FIX THIS!!! remember you are in the service industry. Do better that’s how you get repeat customers. So reality is I’m a hotel owner as well. And the property is nice. The service could seriously use upgrading better training in customer service. I shouldn’t have to go to the desk twice in an a few hours to remind you to bring me towels or sheets for the pull out bed. Just do better.

Great location 5 minutes from Downtown Punta Cana, about 16 minutes from Punta Cana Airport the staff is wonderful very friendly and helpful willing to assist you in anything they can. Overall great experience

The staff are unfriendly, unwelcoming, and a little rude. When I first checked in, the male receptionist at the front didn't acknowledge me at first, even though we made eye contact as I walked in. He just stood there and didn't say anything, which was very odd. The breakfast was awful. The food was either stale or looked old. The a la carte menu was disappointing. The servers were rude. The sliding door to the "balcony" was broken so the door didn't lock. Since I was on the first floor this was definitely a safety concern. The view from the room was a concrete wall with barbed wire, which was an unappealing sight. On the day I decided to leave early, a man casually walked past my balcony area. I went to the receptionist to check out early and cancel my reservation. I only stayed 2 nights. I had a separate reservation for 3 additional nights that I wanted to cancel. I was told that I would have to contact Expedia to get my refund. I contacted a representative from Hotels.com and I was informed that the hotel management would not process my refund due to their "policy!" On the day that I left the hotel, I ordered an Uber to take me to a different hotel. The security would not let me Uber ride onto the premises to pick me up so I had to walk down to the street to get in my Uber which was ridiculous. My Uber driver informed me that the security guards there are awful and guests complain about whalaurban all of the time and say it is the worst. Spend your money elsewhere!

Whala! Urban is great location for business travelers and there's options to use free shuttle to there other location which I did stayed and enjoyed Whala! Bravaro, all inclusive and 2 minuets walk to the beach is very nice as well.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. Very good value for price paid. Property was located in a central, but questionable neighborhood.

Ficamos por uma noite antes de ir ao aeroporto. Tudo perfeito no hotel, local seguro, limpo, com portão fechado, estacionamento espaçoso, ótimo café da manhã e funcionários atenciosos. Recomendo.

I’ve been to Punta Cana plenty of times and this place was great for the proce. The staff kept our room and the pool areas clean. They had breakfast on site ($10 per person/day). We didnt get the breakfast but they had many options. We did get their drinks which was a reasonable price. Overall safe, secure, helpful staff. Thank you for having us.

This hotel is ideal for short stay, it is small and comfortable, offer great value for money. The staff are friendly and engaging. Thr hotel is clean and in good condition. Pool is good. Rooms are good standard with firm beds. Room safe did not work, had to carry valuables for 2 days, air con in kitchen, sitting area was ineffective, air con in bedroom was good Breakfast was ok, some cereal, fruit, and hot food Overall it was great hotel for our needs, short stay before moving to all inclusive hotel nearby I would book again as it does offer great value for money

It is a nice place to stay small property but nice and clean but the breakfast has poor quality. They charge 10.00 USD per person for breast which they say it is a buffet but the food was horrible taste, the mangu which it is the traditional dish horrible taste hot dog poor quality everything was horrible. Eating outside the restaurant is worth. My husband and I went to eat outside and was excellent and same price as the hotel. Except one day we decided to give a try to Whala. Dont eat in Whala food is poor quality horrible taste.
