Aloft by Marriott Florence

Very comfortable beds! Very clean and modern hotel. Super quiet. The only drawback is that the EV chargers are Tesla chargers, so I couldn't use them. I had even called in advance to confirm that their chargers were not Tesla-specific, and the hotel assured me they were 'regular' chargers that any EV could use. Not true. And when I mentioned this to the person at the front desk, she seemed surprised. I don't think the staff understands that Tesla chargers can only be used by Tesla vehicles. I was able to charge up at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel that was close by. But overall, Aloft provided an excellent place to get a good night's sleep, which was mostly all we wanted. We were just passing through and didn't want or use other amenities.

The amenities says it has a 24 hr pool but it really opens from 8am-10pm and it's indoor. There was nobody working the kitchen so we couldn't eat breakfast or eat whatever that was at the bar.

This was one of the nicest Aloft Hotel that I have stayed in. Brand new hotel and very clean. They have a nice bar, pool table, and kids room for games. Great hotel if you drive a Tesla, free charging. Will stay there again.

Nice property and room. Guest check in desk needs a countertop so I can put my purse down to get a credit card out for check in. It’s silly small. Lady at desk was extremely nice! Very modern and nice entrance/lobby. The halls are a bit dark. Room was very nice except there shouldn’t be rugs in the rooms period. There appeared to be dog stains on it which was gross looking but no smell. The sink wasn’t wiped down and no hand soap-I had to ask. The rest of the room and shower was very clean. The pool area was needing upkeep. The ventilation system needs a vent to be able to blow the very strong chlorine smell out. The door to it is hard to pull open since it’s like a vacuum-the exhaust vent is plenty strong but with no second vent it is pointless. Someone using the pool left their towel and kids underwear right at the entrance on the floor. Between seeing that and chlorine smell we did not swim. It did have a nice fire pit in the back.

I have stayed at this location multiple times, and every time the whole place is clean, cool and comfortable. The bar staff is so friendly and helpful and very welcoming.

The property looks nice and new, but it's not very clean, carpets are dirty with stains. We had a bit of difficulties since we got there. We didn't get the room that we booked and pay for. Apparently the hotel was all booked and only had rooms with one king bed. So end up getting two rooms in different floors. My kids wanted to go for a swim but when we got to the pool, the water looked foggy and dirty looking so that didn't work out either. We had added the option for breakfast, which we pay more for and apparently the chef or people that work in that area didn't show up to work and we didn't get any breakfast, so yes our weekend was something else. Not the best experience and just like the hotel is over price for what they are offering. It can definitely get better.

The only good thing was the gym which was great for a hotel. Only one person working the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, everything. Had to go back down to desk 3x because keys didnt work because she couldnt keep room number straight. Room shade didnt go up so it felt like a prison cell. Worst of all refrigerator was set at 60 degrees and i have $300 medication that needs to be refrigerated. They didn't

Bare bones, cool vibe. It's a very convenient stay, right off of I-20. They have ample free parking. There wasn't much interaction with staff because we were in and out, and we had no issues with the room. I wish there were free water bottles, but again it was bare bones. Decor was pop modern. The room was clean.

Was not able to stay due to the pool being closed. Stay was for a special needs child that was looking forward to swimming on school break. Front desk was very kind, will definitely try to book there next time

This is a new property that needs to fix some uncomfortable issues. Showers were dirty. Not like some dust but abundant hair and mildew around the corners. The rooms smelled like humidity covered by fragrance. I was moved to 2 rooms both of which had cleanliness issues. Their bar/restaurant is not operational yet. Front desk staff was nice and apologetic. But honestly, why does a 3 month old property have so much dirt and grime in some rooms? If they fix these issues, it would be a nice hotel. Also, if you own an EV that’s not a Tesla make sure to bring your adaptor or you won’t be able to charge your car.

The room had dirty covers and pillow cases on them. Went downstairs no one was at the desk to change them. Had to sleep on the bare bed

Charged my card on file for an additional night even though I booked/paid through Expedia. I’ve been trying to get a refund to 2 months and conveniently the manager is never available. I’ve been told that my information will be passed along and someone will reach out to me and they never do. The room was poorly cleaned and twice during my stay housekeeping attempted to enter my room without knocking or announcing themselves.

Hotel was clean and friendly and modern. The shower dripped onto a metal drain all night, non-stop and loud! There was only 1 towel. No microwave. Had to wait until 2 hours after checking time for rooms to be ready.

The room was sad. The flooring in the bathroom was lifting up and glue particles were escaping from the cracks. The shower was leaking, and there was a space between the glass that simply let water come out of it. Lastly, and most egregiously, was the fact that the small patch of carpet that was in our room was replete with pet hair. I literally asked for a vacuum cleaner and cleaned it up myself. On the positive side, the gym was very clean and all the equipment looked new, and the expected kindness of South Carolinians was on display. Even with this, my fiancé and I would never stay at this hotel again.

I got into the shower, only to find that the shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. Someone brought replacements promptly, but then I had to figure out how to remove the empty ones. We woke up in the morning to find that coffee supplies also had not been stocked. Water ftom the shower spilled out onto the floor. Otherwise, the room was adequate.

I loved the room decor. However, the floor was dirty with crumbs and needed mopping.Toilet paper on floor in bathroom. Drinks from previous guest in room and refrigerator.

I liked the area the hotel is in. The receptionist s were polite. The room wasn't clean, we had to sweep and vacuum ourselves and also asked that the room be clean....

Dissapointing that body wash and shampoo bottles were empty, not refill. They also should do better cleaning. Floor was sticky and bath walls had hairs from previous stay

The fridge was broken and the door to the shower room was also broken so there was no privacy

One night on our long drive and this hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bed sheets were a bit hard but overall great stay.

I arrived at 10:20 pm and was given a room ALREADY occupied. I opened the door and there are suitcases and food. Fortunately the guests are on the bed which is blocked by a wall. The system showed the room as available and my keys opened it immediately. I’m given a second room parking lot adjacent. When I’m trying to close the curtains I realize there are not curtains. Only the thin transparent shade which leaves the room 100% exposed to anyone in the parking lot. I go back to front desk, it’s almost 11 pm. Maintenance hadn’t informe front desk that shade/curtains cord was non existent therefore not able to use. They give me a third room. Check out is at noon, I place the privacy sign on the door. Morning comes and while I’m getting ready there’s insistent banging on the door. They said they need to service the room. It’s 2 hours before check out! There was dust and some dirt on the floor and in the bathroom as well as shower so I had to wipe the shower myself before getting in. No shower gel. Apparently they mistakenly placed 2 conditioners and one shampoo instead of shower gel. Where is management? There are plenty of hotels in the area. Stay elsewhere.

n toilet and hair all throughout shower. Sofa was not a usable bed. It was unfortunate because we needed it. No extra sheets or pillows for the couch either. If you have light on in bathroom it lights up entire sleeping. Area

Our stay was pleasant! Staff were very nice and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The water got comfortably hot and the water pressure was decent. Probably my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at so far!

Very spacious suite. Fridge. Large screen TV in both rooms. Modern bathroom.

Very noisy layout. U can hear people upstairs walking around the floor like tapping.

This property is a study in contrast. Property is in great condition. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are nice sized. But the decor in each room isn't very functional. Why is there only one trashcan in the room. Why is the coffee tray so small? Why is there little privacy in the bathroom? it's not conducive for a family.

nice and clean. only weird thing was the bathroom, the configuration of the room had the bathroom right behind the beds. And the bathroom wasn't sealed off, it was open to the bedroom windows near the ceiling, and gap could look into the shower area from the bedroom area.

The only issue was that there wasn’t space to put anything. The room itself was huge but there was no storage for a family of four. No where to put clothes, no dresser etc…

We had a confirmed reservation at Aloft Florence through Hotels.com . After driving all day with two young children, including a toddler, we arrived late at night only to be told the hotel was “fully booked”—even though our reservation was active in their system. The woman at the front desk refused to help, hid in the back room, and ignored us for over 30 minutes. She eventually said her manager told her to send us to a nearby motel, then hung up and refused to answer the phone again. We were left exhausted and stressed, with no assistance, and had to find another hotel at our own expense. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Avoid this hotel unless you want to risk being stranded, especially with kids.

Starting at 11 am before check in the staff was very friendly and assuring every time I called to push back our arrival (ended up being 3 am). The hotel was sold out so thank goodness for them they checked me in first call and had my keys ready as soon as I walked in. 2 or 3 employees behind desk at arrival and every single one was friendly and pleasant. Room was adorable, clean and comfy, and already had AC on and cooled off! You hardly find that! I found my new stop point for my 15 hour trips. Yea maybe only 6 hours in but the hotel is worth the longer drive day 2! You want that night in between to be super restful and this is my 8th car trip and without a doubt my favorite hotel! These days as a single mom in the middle of the night you never feel safe until you're inside your room. They made me feel safe with their professionalism and kindness. Thank you! When you're on a road trip it means a lot to have that half way home spot to really rest. Hit the jackpot with the whole package here!

I am just checking my bank account and I saw that I got charge twice for the hotel night, one directly with Expedia and one at the hotel, let me know how we can fix all of this

The room was great but checkin was not. I called ahead to say we were going out for the evening before checkin. The desk clerk was helpful and left a note to alert the next shift. We arrived after the bars closed. When we got there, they had no record of my reservation despite me calling and the note visible on the desk. The overnight desk clerk had to call the manager atleast 9 times and 45 minutes later the manager finally said “just give them a room we will figure it out tomorrow “. Despite all, I would stay again but lesson learned and I’ll check in before going out next time.

We booked and confirmed through Expedia and when we arrived there was no rooms. We had two small kids at midnight. You totally screwed us and you never replied to our complaint.

Terrible customer service, over booked and told us we had to go somewhere else on a holiday night where everywhere was full. We booked a month in advance and called all day to ensure everything was fine with our stay before we traveled 6 hours to get there just to have nowhere to go

The hotel and rooms were clean. There were several places to eat nearby.

We came to Florence to go to a ballgame at the Civiv Center. Easy walk right across the street and dining options also walkable. Would definitely recommend.

The room's main door did not have a dead bolt lock, the light in the bathroom lit up the whole room. In the morning no breakfast and didn't even have lid's for coffee cup to take out. Come on you can do better!

The rooms were nice but don't advertise free breakfast and then only have a muffin and fruit available. It is misleading. Staff was great but I asked if a card could be changed other than the one on file before I left. They still charged the wrong card.

It was a room with a bed. If you just want a place to sleep this is your place. This was not a 2 queen with sofa bed it was just 2 queens and a modern couch. The bathroom shower door was half ripped from the wall and their breakfast included is not breakfast. It’s glorified pastry plate and not anything like a breakfast should be.

Newer property. Very clean. 2 restaurant options next door and an on site bar/ restaurant. We would stay again.
