We absolutely loved our stay! Loved walking onto the balcony at night and seeing all the stars. Enjoyed the free shuttle downtown and back! The only bumps we had were literal bumps, changes in elevation when you’re pushing a luggage cart from the elevator to the rooms. Free parking, free breakfast. Perfect

I specifically booked this property because of the pool after long hikes. I double and triple checked that the pool would be open early June. The pool wasn’t open because of “chemicals” and we weren’t even allowed to lay out in the pool area. Disappointing. The view is nice. The breakfast wasn’t good at all. They don’t do daily housekeeping. I splurged on this hotel, and wish I had just stayed in bar harbor and splurged at a cute inn.

The only bad thing was the small “steps” in doorways making it very hard to roll the luggage carts. We had to leave the cart by the elevator, unload luggage and carry everything to the room. Otherwise it was beautiful.

I booked a last minute stay here over and the property was beautiful. Short walk to downtown but far enough that it is quite. The trash in our room was not taken out from the previous guest and was overflowing and the pool was not open due to a part being shipped in. Other than that, great stay! Would stay again.

Positives: The view was incredible even being on the first floor. Also did not realize pool was salt water and heated! The breakfast was surprisingly tasty. The housekeeping team was extremely friendly. The shuttle to town was very convenient. Cons: while we were eating breakfast, we saw that some cups had fallen on the floor and a customer picked them up, the staff ran over and helped her and then stuffed the cups that had been rolling around in the floor back into the original stack. Ugh. The person checking us in was super patient and friendly with the guests in front of us but was a bit short and ready to be done when we checked in. He was still polite but not the same level of friendly. Not a huge deal but we noticed.

We found long black hairs in the shower, on the toilet and floor in the bathroom, along with dry blood on the vanity. Long hairs were also in our bed. When we reported it to the desk staff, she gave us clean bedding to make the bed ourselves and the next day to have our bathroom cleaned. No other rooms were available

The hotel is pretty outdated, but suited us fine for the trip. There is no housekeeping during the duration of your stay. You have to put your towels out and your garbage out yourself. But we struggled to get our towels refilled without tracking someone down ourselves. Breakfast Was OK but not great.

The motel is older and can definitely use some upgrades but the room was spacious, comfortable, and the views more than made up for any downsides. There was no housekeeping, which we were told upon arrival, but new towels and garbage emptying was provided as desired. We really liked this format since the supplies closet was left open all morning to grab Kleenex, toilet paper, etc., rather than having to go ask for it and wait. Much better.

Atlantic Eyrie Hotel was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable and we had an amazing view from our 4th floor balcony. It was very quiet. Located 5 minutes from downtown and Acadia National Park. We were very happy with our stay!

Stayed at the property, one would think this is a relatively good property and all of the rooms at least on photos have decent AC units in this particular room that I was in it’s on a third floor, on the section above the driveway and it had a built-in 5000 BTU conditioner that sounded like the train wreck. In addition, the water pressure was very iffy. This section seems to be an afterthought that was just built, but it should literally be called out or at least have photos of those room rooms because they are just not the same.

This was a fine stay for our visit to Acadia. We really loved the location and reasonable price point. The building is pretty old but it’s clean and does the job. The Wi-Fi was very slow and disconnected regularly. A no-frills place for you to dock yourself while exploring the area.

Wonderful, spacious apartments, with good beds, sitting room, and kitchen! Excellent view of the harbor. Saw a terrific sunrise! Very nice breakfast with a breakfast meat item that changed daily. Ample parking, great outdoor swimming pool. All apartments have air conditioning window units which are a little noisy if your window is open at night.

Poor experience, breakfast manager, was very impolite and not willing to give me plastic wrap to take breakfast sandwiches to our room for the next morning. We had sunrise tickets to Cadillac Mountain and would not be there for breakfast the next day. I didn’t know he was the manager but a young lady working there said she’d give me some plastic wrap after he had told me “No, No. He didn’t care about the guests requests. Office manager was very nice and apologized for his behavior and said he had talked to him already about the situation. Even with this situation, this hotel was the best place we stayed in Maine for a week. Bar Harbor parking and restaurants are very expensive! Close location to visit Acadia, but we found it very difficult to navigate and a lot of driving around.

This hotel is super clean, the breakfast is good, the pool is great and the view is amazing! It's also very convenient that the shuttle stops here to take you into town. The only thing that took it from a 5 star to a 4 star is because on checkout day, I felt a bit "hounded" by staff members—knocking on my door 2 times before checkout time (11am)—asking me what time I was planning to check out. They even called me on the room phone 2 mins after 11am as I was wheeling my bags out the door. It felt like they were super anxious to get us out of there, which was stressful! But all in all it was a great place to stay and I would definitely return!

Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. We arrived late on 10/24 and the customer service personnel was amazing to go as far as writing us a personal note of what to check out based on our person interests. Staff was quick to address any issues such as a clogged toilet. I was beyond impressed with our view and the included continental breakfast was above and beyond. All staff were ever so courteous. I highly recommend this property. A short drive to town.

Really solid stay! It’s affordable, nothing fancy but clean and has what you need. Location is 10/10 short drive aways from everything. Late check in accommodated, and easy parking. Not much a view on the first floor but still a decent balcony and view. Also worth mentioning the free continental breakfast, it’s a good breakfast that’s included with stay, I recommend taking advantage of it. Would stay again!

This is an absolute gem of a place to stay in Bar Harbor. As it is set back up the hill the view from every room is spectacular out over the water. The rooms are clean and well presented with coffee, water & ice & laundry (super helpful!) all available 24/7. Great breakfast included. The staff were great. It is in a lovely quiet location on the edge of town away from the crowds in town but super close for dining & shopping. The Hulls Cove Park entrance into Acadia is 5 mins away with easy access to the Carriage roads as well for walking & biking. We had a car so didn't use the Island Shuttle service but we noticed it was frequently arriving or departing at the front entrance so very useful location for that. Great stay.

Hotel is in good location. Just 5 a minute drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Every room offers amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and scenery. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. They only clean your room once you check out. The kitchen had everything to cook. Breakfast was good. The only downside was the hotel has weak wifi connection.

Atlantic Eyrie Lodge was a sufficient place to stay while visiting Bar Harbor. The location was nice, especially being just 15 minutes from the major attractions in Acadia. We also really appreciated the shuttle that runs to downtown Bar Harbor. We had an ocean view room, and our view was beautiful! The pool was fine, and the rooms were clean and spacious. We found the staff helpful, but the breakfast was not good. If you’re just looking for a good place to sleep near all of the attractions in the area, this hotel is a great option.

The lodge is very convenient to the waterfront where there lots of shopping and restaurant options. It is also close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. A hot breakfast is included each morning and no need to get dessert with your dinner because they have freshly baked, delicious cookies in the office area each night! The view from the room was great and the place is very quiet. We stayed there 2 years ago and we enjoyed it so definitely wanted yo stay there again when we decided to make another trip to Bar Harbour!

Amazing views. We loved the balcony with the screen door. Everything was clean. No housekeeping for our 3- night stay, though they picked up trashed and provided clean towels, as needed. Breakfast was okay. Muffins were excellent. Afternoon cookies were great, too. Just a mile walk to the downtown area with great dining outings and some shopping.

Wonderful place, our room, and every room as view of bar island and and it is amazing. Outdoor pool is very nice, and patio has a great view also. Island bus stops at the front door. Take the bus to town and get on buses that go around the park from there. The buses a can be crowded, but that is because it very difficult to park in town or in the park. Breakfast is very good.

Overall, the Atlantic Eyrie Lodge is a good hotel. The suite was spacious and quite clean. The full-size kitchen allowed us to bring leftovers from home thereby saving us time and money over the super busy July 4th holiday weekend. The location is just a quick 15-minute walk from Bar Harbor and the Island Explorer stops right at the front door. What surprised me is the staff. No one smiles or acknowledges you. I greeted several members and not one smiled or returned the greeting. Even the receptionist failed to greet us when we checked in. She looked at me and proceeded to give me the keys and information about breakfast. Never did she say "Welcome". All the workers come across as being very unhappy to work there. Do note - the hot breakfast is basic. Cereals are either Corn Chex or Cheerios. Hot items are scrambled egg, bacon (which alternates with sausage), French sticks and potatoes. There is also plain bagels, english muffins and blueberry muffins, coffee, tea, apple, orange and cranberry juice. I was shocked to see no hot oatmeal or even oatmeal packets.
