Parking lot is uneven and needs to be repaved. No elevator. Staff very friendly and helpful. Located centrally in walking distance of everything needed. Clean room and comfortable bed. Limited parking. Overall, when we return to Durango we will stay there again. Good stay for the price!

The location was perfect! Just a short walk to the train station for the Durango-Silverton train and museum. In downtown and walkable to almost everything. The room overall was clean and organized. No complaints. However, our room had no Wi-Fi despite being told we would have Wi-Fi. The guy at the front desk said that their router didn’t extend well to that room and offered to move us. We were settled in for a 5 day stay so decided not to move. Also, the TV reception was also a problem. Not much as far as breakfast.

The place is OLD, as old as I am, and I'm 57 years old. The sheets, interior was ok, but not worth $300/night. The internet was spotty if that, which should be more than adequate since there is no landline phone in the room.

The hotel is very well located for the train and downtown. It was not clear to us that we had to let them know in advance that we wanted housekeeping to come in. That was disappointing. Breakfast is a grab and go, but the first morning the attendant was not at his desk, so I had to go back to my room to get my phone to call him. Bread and hot stuff is behind the scenes. The coffee was cold. He did come and help us and made a fresh pot of coffee which was appreciated. This is a basic hotel with few amenities.

Everything about this place is cheap except the price. First the awful smell hits you. Then you find paper thin towels that they ration like precious metals. The bed is not comfortable. The staff is unfriendly and sullen. They get credit for being responsive to replace the broken pop up drain. We discovered that when we were up to our ankles in water during showers on the first morning. The only thing we can recommend about this awful place is the location. Plenty of other lodging options in Durango. Pick one of those.

Despite being booked for 2 nights, we had no housekeeping service provided. No clean towels no trash removal no cleaning or bed making. The ac did not work, although staff eventually fixed it after some time. Our room keys stopped working and we had to get another set. Just one lousy thing after another!! Each issue interrupted our stay!

The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere in old downtown Durango. Just two blocks from the train station. Great restaurants and souvenir stores are abundant. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is no elevator so if steps are an issue, request a ground floor room. Breakfast included a very good sausage, egg croissant, but you have to microwave it. There is only one tiny microwave in a tiny stand up only space. Hence, the description says Grab and Go breakfast. Same agravation with the coffee! One small pot of coffee made at a time and it was "church" coffee at best. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but not a microwave. The benefit of free parking at the hotel and being within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go made this hotel very attractive. The train ride to Silverton was amazing! Consider taking the train up and the bus back. The bus driver shared an incredible amount of knowledge regarding the history of region. The train provided unparalleled veiws of the scenery that couldn't be captured via a car or bus ride.

Amazing location! Two to three minute walk to the train station and walking distance to all of the shops and dining options. Rooms are comfortable enough but outdated looking. The Air conditioning went out Saturday evening and nothing was said to us or done about it. We could not get our room below 76°. In the morning I went to let the staff know our air wasn't working during checkout and the young man at the counter was very rude and dismissive. He then started arguing with me about a comment I made about the needs not being queens. He told me "I have a measuring tape and will take you into that room and show you they are the right size". That comment made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed.

The property was amazing but the ugly, obstructing view of the beautiful mountains and Durango itself by the new building going up next door was really awful as we had so hoped to enjoy the balcony we paid for.

Our room was on the first floor at the end of the building next to the staircase.You could hear people up and down on the stairs as well as people walking in room above. One evening while we were there the was a group on motorcycles parked right outside the room which were very loud.

This would have been a 5 star review except the air conditioning went out halfway through my stay, and I was given a fan to use with the open balcony door. I need a room to be 66ish at night to sleep. I did not sleep well the 2nd night despite the fan, even though it was cool outside. Additionally, I forgot something and I thought it was cheeky to charge for mailing it to me. It should have been comped with the a/c issue. If I come back to Durango I'll stay here again because it is very convenient for walking downtown. Just really wish the A/C was fixed in a timely manner rather than the front desk person saying I don't know regarding an ETA.

I was little worried when we pulled up to this cute but small hotel. I had forgotten to make sure there was either a first floor room or elevator since I am handicapped. We pull up to the office and I get out with my cane, the young man at the front desk noticed immediately and after I gave my name he asked without prompting if I would prefer a first floor room. Then he helped us find a convenient parking spot. In the room, which was very comfortable and clean, there was a small bag with rags and a note for us to use them to clean messes in the room or our car or whatever. It was nice to see a hotel actually be eco friendly and think about customer needs. We will be back!

After being gone all day we were not allowed in our room or near the hotel due to an armed person barricading himself in a room. Police were there 4 hours and sent us away. No help on where we should go. It was cold out and we needed rest rooms. We could not get to our car and were basically left stranded for hours.

We were very happy with Durango Lodge! It was comfortable, clean, and employees were friendly and helpful. We had an early flight (5 AM), so the night before, the gentleman working gave us a snack bag for breakfast on our way to the airport! Our only complaint was that there wasn’t enough parking at the lodge, so we had to park in another lot.

The customer service was amazing. The check-in went very smooth. The gentleman at the front desk remembered us from a previous visit on our second day. I left my keys in the spa when the gentleman was locking up he found them without knowing who they belong to if he figured out, it was me and called and returned the keys to me, outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here for an overnight trip and the staff at the front desk were wonderful when I requested a couple things out of the ordinary. I would stay here again in a minute! This hotel is extremely convenient to the downtown and the train depot in Durango.

Location is excellent.. steps from the train and close to downtown. The room was clean and comfortable. On the downside, the young man checking us in was sullen and though he said there would be be breakfast sandwiches avail, there was not. “Breakfast” Was seriously lacking. The jacuzzi was broken. And though we requested one time maid service, they ignored the request. I would recommend staying here but don’t expect much.

On the downside, the young man checking us in was sullen and though he said there would be be breakfast sandwiches avail, there was not. “Breakfast” Was seriously lacking. The jacuzzi was broken. And though we requested one time maid service, they ignored the request. I would recommend staying here but don’t expect much.

My experience upon check-in & check-out was excellent - very friendly. I had a couple of needs during my stay; the front desk was very responsive and immediately addressed them. I was very happy with the service I received. This is my lodging of choice when in Durango; the rooms are always clean, which is the top priority for me.

The property was amazing but the ugly, obstructing view of the beautiful mountains and Durango itself by the new building going up next door was really awful as we had so hoped to enjoy the balcony we paid for.

The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere in old downtown Durango. Just two blocks from the train station. Great restaurants and souvenir stores are abundant. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is no elevator so if steps are an issue, request a ground floor room. Breakfast included a very good sausage, egg croissant, but you have to microwave it. There is only one tiny microwave in a tiny stand up only space. Hence, the description says Grab and Go breakfast. Same agravation with the coffee! One small pot of coffee made at a time and it was "church" coffee at best. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but not a microwave. The benefit of free parking at the hotel and being within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go made this hotel very attractive. The train ride to Silverton was amazing! Consider taking the train up and the bus back. The bus driver shared an incredible amount of knowledge regarding the history of region. The train provided unparalleled veiws of the scenery that couldn't be captured via a car or bus ride.

The perfect spot for being in Durango historical town! This lodge is a perfect location and has all you need in term of comforts for a stay in Durango and even better you can just walk to everything. They have free parking for your car too. The train is just steps away and tons of restaurants near by. The room will give you a good night sleep, there is a small pool to get through the hot summer mid day and the staff was so nice!! Will stay here again for sure!

The place was dated but clean. Room had a refrigerator. Parking lot was full. Not sure they were all guests. The "continental breakfast" was kind of a joke. We were told upon check-in that there would be breakfast sandwiches to microwave and other stuff to toast. Yes, there was a toaster but no bread. There was peanut butter cups, but no bread. All the cereal choices were the very sugary variety. The location was convenient to old town restaurants and shopping.

The check in was great. Our only complaints were the open and full garbage can in the hall located right by our door. Our room was located inside an enclosed hallway so I don't understand the various open garbage cans. Also, the parking is ridiculous. One space per room exactly. You were afraid to move your car in fear of losing your tight parking space. Breakfast selection was poor. Durango Bagel was an excellant option and took back to our room.

The Lodge is located less than 2 blocks from the Train Station so definitely a plus if you’re going to ride the train! Also easily walkable to all the restaurants and shops! Most affordable hotel in the downtown area. We would rather spend our money on dining and entertainment and not a fancy hotel so it’s a great option. Breakfast was not great but there is a bakery just around the corner with great bagels and pastries!

This boutique hotel is a great option if you want to be close to Main Street. The rooms are nice and clean; however, the walls are very thin. Box bugs were in the windows and managed to get onto the walls, which may have happened because the windows can open and may not be well sealed.
