Hits and misses at the Ashore hotel. Didn't get a parking pass on check in but no one seemed to check them. Nice big room with a weird, decorative, faux stove. No carpet, great for pets and sand. Weird shower. Bed was comfy. Could have used a larger bedspread/blanket for our dog to avoid getting the covers dirty. Our room was clean on arrival but the toilet seat was completely broken off. We stopped downstairs and let the young man know right away. That night we dropped a beverage on the floor and had to use a couple towels to clean it up. Requested new towels, reminded them about the toilet seat and asked for floor clean to deal with the sand from the beach when we left the next morning (SO CLOSE! GREAT LOCATION 1 BLOCK OFF THE BEACH AND PROMENADE! RIGHT NEXT TO ALL THE SHOPS!). We got back that evening and nothing had been done. The gals working the desk were really helpful and attentive starting on Friday so that was a big improvement. You might not get the speech when you check in but if you don't bring your breakfast order down to them in the evening the day before you won't get fed. It's not like a spread in the lobby. Lots of people seemed to not get that memo making Sat morning difficult in the lobby area.

We had a great stay here, perfect sized room for a family of 3 and a dog. The pool was a godsend - perfect size for our daughter and warm so she could stay in it for a long time, esp on the rainy days. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Super close to the beautiful beach (less than a block), very walkable to all the shops. Room was super clean and very charming. Small things - suite 21 needs a fan (even a tower fan) in the master bedroom as the A/C didn't really reach that part of the suite; would have been good to have some dish towels by the kitchenette sink so we could dry our cups; and the bathroom could use a shower curtain with magnets to keep the water from seeping out. Just such small things, otherwise a great place to stay, recommend.

Great location and we loved the rustic vibe, but room needed 3 repairs which were reported to the staff but they did nothing until it became critical. Requested a room refresh but that never happened the 4 days we were there. Breakfast was disappointing with instant coffee. I would not go back.

You can tell this is an older motel that’s been lovingly, thoughtfully redone. The owners paid attention to details and have prioritized both the guests and the environment.

Perfect location and friendly staff. The breakfast basket was a great way to start the day.
