Ashore Hotel

Cute, updated motel with clean, quiet rooms. Pet friendly was a priority for us. Hotel has a free Level 2 (about 6.5kW) CCS charger in the lot - big bonus for our EV "Brad". The saline pool (small; clean) and sauna were both bonuses. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Will definitely return when we're visiting the area overnight.

Great hotel close to the beach. We only stayed 1 night, but the experience was great! Service was awesome, room was the perfect size for us, a family of 3. Pool was warm and it felt wonderful after a day of travel. The bar onsite is great, and being able to order breakfast to your room was a definite perk. The only negative thing we have regarding the room was the air conditioner....it was noisy! Other than that, the experience was great!

Excellent location was in the middle of everything. We really enjoyed the small pool and sauna. Had a cool small bar with games and bikes that you can check out for free. The bikes were really useful to get around town. Overall the place has a great vibe. The room was really nice except for the mattress, which was quite firm. We didn't sleep that well because of that. The bathroom was pretty good too, besides the silly barn door.

The room was great! Reminded me of a loft in Soho in Manhattan, NYC. The decor works well. Complimentary breakfast delivered to your door and Monk's coffee were a plus too! Staff was helpful and friendly. Beer on tap and mixed drinks too! Pool and sauna were clean, and both were a nice temperature.

Television was far more complicated than it should be. Location is convenient. Hopefully they get the sauna fixed as it was out of commission for my visit. Staff was very nice.

This place had a really cool vibe! We loved our stay there. Only disappointment was that the pool heater broke while we were there so the kids weren't able to swim like we'd planned. But we definitely come back!

We have stayed at other hotels and keep coming back to this hotel. The good: Location! One block from the beach and main street. They’ve added complimentary breakfast. Just make sure you fill out the breakfast slip DAILY to get it. LOVE the meat and cheese board offered. Most staff very friendly. The bad: Pool heater seemed broken. First day (Saturday) pool was very warm (similar to past stays-which is one of the reason we stay here). Second and third day pool was cool-too cold for my 4 and 8 year old. The other complaint is I wish they provided a stick vac or Swiffer/broom in the rooms. Being a block from the beach means sand. We love the concrete floors because you know what’s on it (vs a lot of the hotels in the area that have old, gross carpet). However the floors get sandy quick. Need a vacuum or broom in the room to fix this. The ugly: Checkout is noon (this is great). We checked out at 11:20 and mentioned we would like to leave our car for an hour in the parking lot. We’ve stayed here many times and have never had an issue with leaving it in the lot after checkout for a few hours. Two employees said we could leave it there until noon and no later. Because they needed to have room for people checking in. I’ve posted a picture of the lot at noon. This is a 22 room motel and they had at least 9 rooms open for check in on the day we check out (per Expedia). It’s Monday of Labor Day weekend. Not asking to stay very long but didn’t appreciate the lack of flexibility.

Enjoyed the amenities and the unique vibe of the motel. Great having a breakfast basket at our door every morning. They alao had great coffee from their coffee bar.The pool was small but nice and great having a sauna. Would stay again.

I love vintage motels but I don't love staying in them...I remember this place from years ago, so def. vintage, but updated and NICE and CLEAN and a saline pool that's super warm and a bar and a fire and I LOVED IT.

Super clean and comfy. Sauna and heated pool is amazing. Didn't feel too crowded with other guests. Walkable to restaurants, bars and gift shops. Super close to the beach. Definitely will return!

The room was very clean and I absolutely loved the style. Having the complimentary continental breakfast delivered to our room in the morning was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean and warm which was nice for an October evening. I absolutely loved it here and will definitely come back in the future!

I did NOT like the room because it had bedbugs! It was horrible! We stayed at 4 nights and on our 3rd night, we started to notice itchy bits. Thought it might have been from the ocean but NOOOOO. Had to wash everything item to bring back to the house and had to get beg bug specialist to come out to make sure we didn't bring it back. I will NOT stay here.

Cute hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location it is 1/2 block to the beach. What was not so great- the door to the room was not sealed to the outside, the frame was broken and did not feel the most secure. The shower was not properly cleaned there was a zin and hair in the tub when we got there.

First of all, this is not a hotel — it’s a motel, and not in great condition. The property is outdated, not very clean, and in need of a full renovation. While they’ve added a few cute touches like stylish shampoo bottles and a basket for bedding, overall everything feels old and worn. The rooms are dark and depressing, with no rugs — just sticky, dirty floors. There are no closets, no storage areas, no coffee maker, and no microwave. The breakfast can barely be called breakfast: one small croissant and a small yogurt per person. To receive it, you must fill out a form with the number of guests in your room and your preferred breakfast time. If you don’t stop by and submit the form in time, you don’t get anything. The staff was not helpful at all. They didn’t explain anything at check-in, weren’t proactive, and seemed unaware of basic information. I had to prove that I was a VIP member entitled to complimentary beverages, which they initially denied. They also refused to change our room because the booking was made through Expedia, telling us to resolve it through the platform instead. As for the bikes — which were advertised as an amenity — most were rusted or improperly assembled. Only one was usable during our stay.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. It is centrally located, easy walk to the surrounding areas. The reason for the lower rating for cleanliness was due to our comforter and sheets smelling like B.O. But the staff was quick about fixing it the next morning.

The hotel was what I expected... a small quaint beach hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Would def stay there again. The larger rooms are perfect for families traveling with kids.

Room was not clean and dog poop outside my door. I emailed the hotel for a refund but never heard back.

Great staff. Friendly and efficient. Everything else was pretty basic. With every light turned on that we could find, the room was very dark. And the room design kind of felt like someone put their good ideas into the rooms without actually staying the night to see how they worked out. For example, large metal trash cans with lids on them are not exactly convenient when you're trying to throw something away when your other hand is occupied. Because of demand at this popular beach in the Summer season, prices are extremely high. That is understandable. However, when prices are literally three times higher than similar hotels in the off-season, you would think a tiny bit of that profit margin would be spent on... Something... Like nicer coffee, or at least one coffee pack per registered guest... We were a party of three, and amenities like that were sparse for a party of two. I don't want to ramble on with negatives, as there were nice things about the place. But when prices rise that amazingly high during the summer months, a hotel should be really careful not to skimp on the various things that cost pennies and yet make a guest feel welcome.

We had a lovely stay at Ashore. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Only complaint was the loud footsteps above us.

Solid deck and stairs so you don't hear people banging/walking around. Board games to play. Nice staff. Complimentary check-in drink (on-site small bar). Wide parking spaces. Showerhead comes from ceiling, so unless you're 7'6", you get a good shower. The only down side, wifi would not connect in room. Very convenient to beach and main street/shops. We would book here again.

We really loved our room!! The bed was crazy comfortable, there was plenty of room to spread out, the shower was a walk in with a rain like shower head. I really dug the decor too! We were a 2 minute walk from the ocean as well as many restaurants and shopping. This was one of my favorite hotels on the whole Oregon coast which we visit often. Great price too!

Pros : close to the beach, comfortable beds, nice rustic design in room, small pool perfect for little kids, free parking, friendlystaff Cons: old building with paper thin walls. You can hear every footsteps from the second floor and also dog barking next door. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest bringing a white noise machine

This was a really cute, clean, and comfy hotel near everything My only negative is the AC/ heat unit no matter what we put temperature at came on and off all night long, but super hot in room without AC on so tolerated it. It was super loud when coming on started out quiet and got louder it sounded like a plane taking off, Couldn’t figure out why they left ear plugs on night stands, this wasn’t a loud area, well we figured it out. Stayed 3 nights could not sleep through it.

The room we had did not have a closet or dresser, not an issue for us as we didn’t have a long stay. If you’re planning on staying longer and need to hang up clothes you may want to stay somewhere else.

The room itself was great. The bed was so comfortable and they supplied plenty of pillows. However, for a room with 4 people and access to a pool, there was no where to hang anything. Hanging a rod in the closet space would have improved the stay, as we had to drape pool towels and suits all over the room. Also, there is no fan in the shower so every time the bathroom door was opened after a shower the smoke alarm went off due to the steam and heat. Speaking of showers, the shower liner is very light and had no magnets on it, so as soon as the water was turned on the curtain was sticking to your body (gross). These are minor issues that could make a big impact on the overall room. Also- the bikes were in poor condition and could use some regular maintenance. Make these changes and you’d easily be at 4 or 5 stars. Overall the room was great. Thanks!

No closets

Loved this quirky hotel. The location is awesome, the people were very helpful. The rooms are so comfortable, we especially loved the robes. The bed was also super comfortable.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.we were in town for a family vacation, and several other of our family members also came in town and stayed at other hotels so we could all be together. At check in, I was spoken to very rudely and didn’t feel welcomed. The service and staff were aggressive and racist. They tried to upcharge me and accuse me of having multiple pets or guests because my family who were also staying in seaside stopped by in the morning to say goodbye before they left at the end of their trip. They also tried to charge me for their cars just for parking to say hello to us. And then lied and said our family had been coming in and out all day. This was only 10am when they arrived to say goodbye. I was also told I would be charged two pet fees simply because when I requested to extend my stay an additional night, they had to schedule it in the system as a seperate reservation per their explanation. Even though we were the same family staying in the room for the same trip/ duration. I was then told I’d be charged to replace towels if our food stains couldn’t be cleaned out by staff. I was never asked nicely about any of the confusion, only charged immediately and then spoken to like a child. We are a black family and I feel this was racially motivated on how aggressive they were with their words and mistreatment . Other hotel guest were around as well and were not greeted the same way - I canceled our trip early and checked out immediately

We booked the room (22) that had a King Size bed, the room was really spacious and perfect for two people. Upon arrival, the space was very clean, had its own designated parking spot, and is close to the nearby shopping stores/food/beach etc. Some important notes to consider: This hotel is more on the pricey side ( It's a bit on the luxuary side). The pool is heated but really small. The employees are very accommodating and helpful. They texted us if we needed room service each day we were there. Complimentary coffee and tea is downstairs access to use their bikes if you ask. During the colder months, it can be very chilly in the room.

Easy check in, friendly staff, close to shopping and ocean!

The check in process was easy and the staff at check in were welcoming and warm. The room was decent enough. The reason for my poor rating relates to the check out process. I asked for a late check out of 1230 instead of 12pm and was denied. The room needed to be turned over for new guests, I understand that fair enough. My partner was running a relay race in Seaside so I packed up the room and was out at 1152 to meet her at the finish. I received a call from the hotel at 1206 telling me to move truck because every space was needed. I fail to understand how six minutes after check out my truck is creating a parking shortage for guests who are unable to check in for another four hours. There were more open spots than filled at that time when my truck was moved at 1209. My perception is the hospitality stops at the moment of check out.

They charged us a fee of $50 for if the room was left dirty. We were told the money would be returned in 3 days after we left. We made sure the room was spotless. We never got the money back, we called twice and was told it would be returned, never happened. Called again, now was told that it went to a pet deposit which we already paid when we were there. I feel we were ripped off. NEVER GOING BACK THERE. They lost a good customer over $50.

Stayed in a king room and it was fantastic. Bed was one of the best ever in a hotel. Room was spotless and has a fridge. Front desk was helpful with everything from directions to giving us extra creamer for our coffee. Continental breakfast is delivered to your door which is a great touch!

Loved the proximity to the beach and the shopping and dinning and as well as access to local parks and siteseeing.

Stayed in a suite with bunk bed room and king bed in living area. Lots of room and comfortable. The hotel is about 1/2 block from the promenade so no ocean view but easy walk. Lots of dogs. Breakfast brought to the room in the morning.

You are in the heart of it next to everything. No long walks to get to the beach. No long walks to get to the Main Street.

great location, parking available in hotel, many dining eateries around hotel. Beach is within walking distance and there is a beautiful Catholic church across the hotel.

Modern clean room with large bathroom. If you’re ok without the ocean view this is one hotel behind the oceanfront hotels at a good price. Great easy location for exploring the town.

Just steps to the beach, you are really paying for location but the rooms are minimalist and clean, the beds comfy, and the staff wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

This place was terrific! Right along the edge of the downtown area and a 5 minute walk to the beach making it super convenient. There were LGBTQ+ Flags hung/displayed, making it feel safe as a queer person. The amenities were comfortable, the pool is heated to 95 degrees F, and there was a grassy area for my service dog to potty at. My only complaint is that their included "breakfast" was nothing more than a pastry, yogurt, and some fruit delivered to your door in the morning which was not an adequate breakfast for my guest and I but fortunately, there are lots of breakfast options nearby.

Room was nice but facilities weren’t as we hoped. Sauna locked my husband inside, and the “indoor” pool was freezing. As well as the “breakfast” included was a yogurt and a few pieces of fruit. Like I said, the room was nice but overall the listing seems a little missleading.

Cute breakfast basket with pastries fruit and yogurt. Nice touch they deliver it to your door at the time you set up. We tried the cranberry cider at the bar and it was yummy.

We did a last minute trip and booked for one night. The continental breakfast was great. Coffee shop was great with good latte. Close to beach and promenade with easy access. Bed was ok but not great. Mattress was lumpy and I shared with staff on checkout.

Overpriced remolded old motel in tourist town. Advertised free breakfast & coffee but coffee not ready at 815 and no cream etc. No maid service even though requested. Close to the beach & town. If you want to take kids to do bumper cars, ice creams etc this is your place, it’s convenient to all of that. Young kids are running the desk & seem over it. I think they are taking advantage and charging too much for a simple motel.
