Sleep Inn & Suites Pittsburgh Airport

The room was lovely. Super clean and comfy mattress. We had a King suite. You can see the owners are putting money slowly into room upgrades. The bathroom was updated, and some of the furniture as well. The neighboring area around the hotel was great. My big suggestion though is that they need to clean the exterior of building. Garbage was overflowing and all over the lot. The patio area was horrible, I know inside is most important but first impressions are lasting. We are big outdoor people and like to sit outside, but the patio was overgrown, garbage can overflowing, broken furniture in a pile. Basketball court gate was hanging off and weeds were over grown around the fence. It made the whole hotel feel sketchy and a bit seedy even though inside the room was spotless and comfy while a tad dated. A little bit of love and effort outside wouldn’t cost much of anything and would go a long way and def make this a wonderful stop over for people like us who came to go to IKEA on our way back from a longer trip. We did not get up in time for breakfast.

Property was dingy and needs to be updated. Not dirty really, although there were some stains on the carpet. The hallway smelled of smoke. Elevator was broken. On the plus side, it was quiet. Adequate for a single night, at best.

Overall it was a great hotel and would stay again if needed. However the parking lot is small and I had no where to park when I got back. Not necessarily the hotels fault as there were around six box trucks/trailers in the parking lot which took up tons of spots. However it was inconvenient

The room met my needs. The location offered a continental breakfast. There were laundry facilities in place and operational.

The elevator smells terribly like old vehicle differential oil. I have breathing difficulties. The fumes made it difficult to breath. I was there 3 nights. My wife in hospital ICU. Each night I would walk the full length of the hall to my room. Each night I had to walk back, take the terrible oily smelling elevator to the 1st floor and get the key card recoded. Then go back to the smelly elevator and hike back to my room. The room could use a good vacuuming but for my immediate needs it was good. Breakfast was also good.

Nice stay, only issue was that trash bins not changed in 4 days. No opportunity to throw away trash from room or vehicle.

All the outside trash cans were over flowing and or were toppled over

I had a queen suit room for the weekend Friday& Saturday. The sofa sleeper was worn and stained, it should be replaced. The refrigerator was missing all shelves. The hallway and elevator need to be cleaned. There was a garbage bin next to the south entrance that remained overflowing with trash everywhere. The bell carts are old, hard to move and filthy. The breakfast was minimally supplied with breakfast food. I paid $167.00 per night, "$75.00 would have been acceptable.

Liked the location to the mall and airport. Breakfast was adequate and clean rooms. Nice shower. Parking was challenging and very limited. Lots of trucks taking up multiple spots. Overall ok for a night stay and not a bad price. Would be better if parking was better.

Staff was fine. Entire hotel has a strong scent when you enter. Bedroom smelled like urine and would come and go in waves. Air was stuffy and hard to clear. Carpet was sticky and gross. Linens were clean though. Breakfast was okay. Sausage was not heated all the way through. Gross.

The staff was friendly, the area was quiet, and bed was clean. Unfortunately the rooms were dirty. I assume they are short staffed on housekeeping because we checked in an hour after the check in time and they still had to confirm that our room was ready. Food crumbs in the nightstand, the carpet had a weird texture to it, and the bathroom wasnt clean. The shower curtain liner had mold on the magnet. The pull out couch bed was worn out and looked pretty old. We didn't complain because the beds were clean and we were only there for 1 night, but otherwise would have left.

The room was dirty. The sheets had stains on them. The hallways to get to the rooms were dirty. Not very impressed.

Room wasn’t the cleanest. Stains on the carpet, as well as on the bed sheets and pillows, and desk chair. Bathtub had scum and hair in it.

Bed bugs bit my arm all up the minute I laid down after being woke for 24 hours straight, long day after a couple flights and I’m woken up within 5 minutes with a big ass bite on my arm which turned into a whole swollen mess the next day if I could’ve shown it nobody would wanna stay there y’all need to fix this problem because my arm is itching as I write this and it’s 2 days later now so please remove all beds and couches and get something new , get the exterminator in there asap

The bed linens were filthy and stained. The bathroom sink had black crud around the drain. For an "accessible" room it was located on the second floor all the way at the end of the building from the elevator. We will never stay here again!

This was undeniably the dirtiest hotel I've stayed at and completely treated rude. After waiting about 35 minutes to check in, not knowing what rooms were even "cleaned" and phones ringing. Got to the room it stunk, hair all in the sink and toilet, doorknobs and light switches dirty, stuff spilled on the wall by bed, blood on bedspread! microwave was covered in dust, coffee maker to dirty to use! It was my daughters first time in a hotel to stay and go to the zoo and it was ruined. I took pictures of some and had housekeeping come and she was rude and acted like it was no big deal. When she was done now there was like 4 big hairs on the toilet from her hair. It's just careless of not even looking at anything or caring. And she was completely rude and dismissive. Trash all around the building you can't even walk anywhere, the grass isn't even usable to walk in. I've never been so grossed out in my life. To make this all worse, the next morning went to use blow dryer and it smoked as soon as it turned on and wouldn't even work! NEVER BEEN SO REPULSED BY A PLACE! and this is saying something. I had to go buy Clorox wipes just to make myself be in there but it's not saying much. Had to purchase blanket to sleep on and pillows. I'm not a picky person and my daughter is only 8 which we went for her birthday making this all the more ridiculous.

To say the wifi was spotty was an understatement. My phone was the onlything that would connect sometimes. My laptop and my ipad would not. I was a network tech for 15yrs when i called the front desk i was told "it works no problems" with no offer for solution. It was very loud in the room you cohld hear every noise from every neighbor. Every tv, cough, and flush. And the water seal on the window was coming off pretty bad. The waterproof mattress cover was so loud, every time i turned over it sounded like i was sleeping on plastic bags. And if you wanted a clean towel you had to carry your soiled one to the front desk. A red roof inn would have been nicer and half the price.

Check in was smooth and quick. Bed was comfortable. But, air conditioner was very noisy. Breakfast was good but only limited options were provided.

Overall it wasn’t terrible, nor great. Pros: they allowed me to check in early. Room is big. Bed comfortable, fridge, coffee maker. Cons: a LOT of noise in the hallways at night, which seemed to be coming from employees. Also smelled like food in my room all night, even tho i had no food. Bathroom floor was particularly gross, but room itself seemed clean.

No sound barrier between rooms. Can hear the next rooms TV and people talking. Was not sound proof at all!

Good stay in Pittsburgh for the price. Clean, updated room, decent breakfast. I think the HVAC needs updating. Room smelled of second hand smoke, but I think it may have been in the air-conditioning system.

The room and bed sheets were clean. The first night, there was a bad smell, like marijuana in the hallway. However the remaining nights we were there, there was no foul smell. The staff was friendly and responsive and the breakfast was pleasant. I didn't like the overall appearance of the lobby and room. The furniture is run down and needs a makeover. I did like the close proximity to the airport and nearby restaurants and shopping.

About disappointed asked for water to refill my reusable water bottle the front desk suggested that we could purchase water instead.

Everything was fine with my stay. My only issue was that the front desk employees never seemed to be at the front desk. I waited almost 10 minutes for the employee to show up when I arrived to check in.

Key fob would not work the exitiror door. Staff member said it acts up like that. We moved to other side of property. Heat would not turn on.Staff member said it takes time to kick on. Went to dinner came back still no heat. Had to move to to 3rd room. I have stayed at this property aleast 4 or 5 times in last several months. I think its a very good value and I will try again. The only reason I gave a negative review was the staff member. Focused on call on her headset and it took forever checking in. Then when I came back to front desk I had to track her down at the gaming machine.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was sufficient. Checkin was not enjoyable. The checkin clerk was talking on her cell phone to someone and barely spoke to me. I didnt appreciate that.

I've stayed in this hotel over ten years.. im not sure, if it's under new management or what the case is, but the girl that's usually at the front desk was not there.. And I encountered a very rude individual instead. After being told I was rushing her even though I was an hour after check in time.. i was sent to a room that immediately smacked you in the face with the smell of mold. I politely called down to the front desk and asked them to move rooms because I have pictures of the mold that was black, by the way. I was made to wait an extra thirty minutes for another room that smelled the same exact way.. but apparently was good enough, because the black mold wasn't showing on the air conditioner. Horrible horrible experience and after 3 vists every year for the past 10 years i think ill pass on this place

This is the second year our group has stayed here. Rooms were easy to book, very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient.

The location was excellent close to downtown

It was a clean, comfortable, quiet place, that served breakfast in the mornings. It’s location was convenient to get to the places that I had planned to go to.

Great location! Less than 5 minutes drive to great food and dining options. Hotel seemed a little old but everything was clean and well cared for! Staff was kind and helpful and the location made me feel safe. The dining options were great and close as was shopping. I’d definitely stay again!

The hotel was much as expected. We had no expectations as we have stayed at this chain before and it is extremely basic but does the job if you’re just needing a decent place for overnight. The only real disappointment was breakfast. With no where to go nearby, the offerings were beyond basic and nothing but processed foods with not even the usual piece of fresh fruit available. And styrofoam was used for everything when typically they at least have Starbucks style paper cups for the coffee.

Breakfast included was nice except that the first day they ran out of plates. Two towels and two wash cloths for two people for two days is not enough. Extra wash cloths at least would have been nice. Ran out the tissue box the first night had anyone come in to bring fresh towels they would have noticed

Room was great, but woke in the morning to someone smoking pot. If you can’t smoke a cigarettes then shouldn’t be allowed to smoke pot. Also the coffee at breakfast was watery/weak

could havebeen a litttlllee cleaner, but overall not terrible experience. Did never have room service knock/offer when my boyfriend was in the room all day the second day, asked for extra towels never given any, so meh service. Oh also last day went down to breakfast around 910 and it was closed?? said it was 7-10, disappointed but luckily there is a dunkin down the road. Says fast internet but boyfriends ps5 could not connect, but Air conditioning was awesome though,

Service was good, everything else was just okay. Absolutely nothing special and nothing terrible. I did not have trouble parking and for me it was clean enough. The closet door was broke, the bathroom door got stuck and wouldn’t close, the pull out couch was dirty and had no sheets or pillows for it anywhere. Location was good, breakfast was okay, coffee was bad. Very much mediocre but for one night it was fine. Didn’t feel like great or terrible value.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. Easy in and easy out. It was very quiet. We had no issues. Check-in was smooth and the breakfast every morning was very good. We would definitely stay here again.
