Embassy Suites By Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown

What a strange hotel this is. The registration desk is on the 25th floor of the building, and the signage directing you to it is less than prominent. Aside from this, the hotel is fine, the room spacious and comfortable, and the location is great for anyone doing just about anything in Downtown Pittsburgh. Our only real complaint is about the valet parking service. These people are pretty incompetent. We had to go looking for someone to park our car despite the fact that we were standing on the sidewalk next to our car in full view of the desk. I guess the man staffing the desk had more important business to attend to.

Housekeeping did not come even though requested. Pool was not clean.

This hotel is super cozy. I didnt eat there. Checking in may be a struggle. The only knock I have is there is an inconvenient elevator situatuon having to use your card, there only being so many to get to the lobby which is the 25th floor. If there are busy times expect a hefty line for the elevator.

Our suite was very nice. No complaints there. But the elevators are slow. Might help if they had more than two elevators working at a time. Valet after checkout was also painfully slow. We waited almost 30 minutes to get our car and I had requested it while we were still in our room.

Many great things about the room and hotel. Room was clean and for most part good; the shower door handle was about to fall off but it didn’t ruin anything. The complimentary drinks from 5-7 were great (a slightly heavy pour) but still great. The views were 10/10. It was so cool to see the stadium from the window. It’s within walking distance to basically everything too. Only negative is valet parking. $45 overnight seems a little high but okay; but it took about 30-40 minutes to get the car, even with completing the cell phone request early before check out. So total closer to a 1 hour wait in reality.

Breakfast was very good, friendly and courteous staff. Parking is bad, no parking whatsoever, you have to pay $45 for valet parking.

The hotel is gorgeous and the area is fine. But it is very pricey, and we had some issues. First there is no parking. You are required to valet at $40/night. Second, the pool was closed for our stay. Traveling with kids, we always book properties with pools, so having it closed was a huge disappointment. And at this price point one expects amenities. Also, the food at the cocktail reception was gone. There were a few cheese cubes and nothing else, and no one refilled anything. Overall the place was overpriced and disappointing.

If not from big cities, very hard to find the property. Parking garage is a bit sketchy, but was cheap for the stay. Hotel is beautiful inside, you do have to go to the 25th floor to check in, and there’s only two working elevators. The two elevators are my main complaint, waited 25 minutes and everyone that stopped was full, had to walk down 20 flights of stairs to check out on time 🤓

The check in was easy the breakfast was great only problem was it took about an hour to get our car from valet

Coldest pool in history. Gorgeous pool , booked it for the kids, hypothermia for the family. Brutal care of such a nice facility.

Woke up to bites on myself. Found a few bedbugs in the sheets, trapped one in a glass and showed the front desk. Management “investigated” the room with pest control and found no bugs. Even after

If you like a clean room don’t stay here!!!! Yes the location is great but that’s where it ends. For the money I paid a the cleanliness of the room, horrible. We were a party of 4 adults there for a birthday trip. We got back to the room late. An realized how dirty the room was. The pull out couch not clean the sheet hair on them. Carpet dirty, the sink still had coffee in it. So it was 11:30pm so late. We got moved after a staff member checked the other room to make sure it was clean. NOT, we found food, a lot of dust an even an eye mask near the pillow area of the mattress. The pull out again was dirty a the floors were gross. You also have to check in on the 25th floor so that was a little inconvenient in some ways. I have stayed at better for less money.

Hi- I stayed in Embassy Suits on July 19, and it was horrible, the check in took so long, because there was only one person on the desk, the bathroom shower made sounds as if the shower head is going to fall off and also there was poop stain in the toilet. The food area was smelly.

The room was not as clean as I would expect from an Embassy Hotel. First off my room was not ready on time so I had to wait, then when I did get my room there was dirty towels on the floor outside the room door. Then once inside the shower walls had mold on the grout, and my wife found a blond hair on the bedsheets. Disgusting. At any price this is not acceptable, but especially for what they charge per night.

The bed had some bugs. We didn’t realize until we were leaving since we all got a bunch of bites

Beautiful and clean establishment!

We were there 4 nights. We received room cleaning only 2 of those days. The first time at 6:30 pm when we arrived back in our room and called, they sent a lobby assistant who told us it was not his job to clean rooms. He eventually made the bed, gave us towels. The second afternoon we didn\'t bother to call. While the breakfast is excellent, the breakfast area is sticky, floors and tables. You can hear everyone\'s squeaking shoes. The help needs to do a better job of cleaning tables including the sides of the tables because your arms stick to the tables. It\'s a "yucky" feeling. The only positive is that the "suites" are a good size and allow one person to rest in bed, while the other watches TV in the living room.

Rude counter staff, dirty room, tv’s broken, no internet, pool was OOO… picture probably 75+ people trying to get breakfast and only one gentlemen on the floor to buss. Food was okay, but felt terrible for the worker and unfortunately meant the dining area was disgustingly filthy. Would not return.

Checked in at 5pm..ac not working..maintence came. said it was fixed...by 10pm room was 90 . next day had to wait until 1pm to change rooms. never again!

What you would expect. Nice check in. Beautiful hiistoric building. Rooms are spacious but need renovation (chipped tiles, chipped walls, etc) Breakfast buffet had a lot of choices but was an eco disaster with styrofoam cups, plastic everywhere and no where to recycle.

The couch in our room was broke down, slide downhill when sat on. They finally brought us a chair to sit on but one of us was suppose to sleep on sofa bed (in couch). The 2 beds were lumpy and also uncomfortable. The air conditioner was loud, it rattled, banged ect… They wouldn’t even give us another room. We stayed for 6 days and was so uncomfortable, not 1 good nights sleep. The hotel itself was ok but furnishings/air conditioner in room were ready for the garbage. Never again.

Spacious room, easy checkin, and central location were all highlights. Would definitely stay again. Walkable to PNC park

The rooms were spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. There was a god variety of hot and cold items for breakfast.

Easy check-in directly through the Hilton app. Large comfortable room and nice breakfast included.

All shades in room were broken in the down position . Check in and valet parking were so slow. Lobby on 25 th floor . Don’t recommend this hotel until they get there act together . Left one day early as it was not very inviting to sit in room of darkness.

The room was spacious and had beautiful view to the rivers and surrounding downtown area.

Great staff! Especially our bartender at the complimentary cocktail reception, who was a knowledgeable and friendly older gentleman. All staff was friendly and welcoming.

I did NOT like the greeting that I received at Check-in. Many other customers had the same feelings.

The Valet parking staff was very rude and felt like we were a waste of their time. The front desk was not in the front. It was at the 25th floor and the desk person spoke to me like i was incompetent.

We had such a great stay. There was an issue with noise and our first room. The staff was sooo nice and helpful. Very clean. Great staff. Great location. We will stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We parked offsite but very nearby and affordable options. Location was amazing, we were able to walk to lots of eateries and shops, as well as the symphony. Room was more spacious than we anticipated and very clean. We particularly enjoyed the evening happy hour with generous and complimentary beverages. Would definitely stay again!

There are some really great staff members here, but… it was not a great stay. When we tried to check in, they said they had us down for the previous night and had charged us a “no show” fee. I showed them my confirmation— which clearly indicated I was there on the correct night. They told me this was an issue from Expedia, not the hotel. Then we had to listen to a lecture about how it should be a “lesson” to us - not to book through a third party. (Update: They told me on check-out that they would refund the erroneous “no show” fee.) Then we got to our room and it was terribly hot — the AC wasn’t working. They sent someone to fix it, and we had to just sit on one side of the room watching these (very nice) guys work. They did get it working about 2 hours after we checked in. The result of the work, though, was a soaking wet carpet on one side of the bed — which was not great, but a small price to pay for working AC. There was also a light that didn’t work, leaving one side of the room very dark. Not the end of the world. When we checked out in the morning, we asked if we could leave our bags and leave our car in Valet until 12:30pm. They said that was fine - no problem. However, when we picked up our car, the man at Valet was very curt and lectured me about being late to pick up my car, and told me he should charge me for an extra night. There seems to be some disconnect between the hotel and the folks who do valet. I don’t think I would return.

Reception is on the 25th floor as is the restaurant and bar which offer stunning views over the city and the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Stadium. It's an excellent Central location with an easy walk to everything. A cooked to order Breakfast is included. Very comfortable bed and pillows, very quiet and a great sleep. The shower has great hot water and water pressure. Only about 10 minutes easy walk to the Amtrak Station, Pirates Baseball Stadium. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in all areas, with a special shout out to Julie in the bar and lunch time guy (didn't get his name). Fantastic stay and would definitely be my first choice again!

Great place close to everything’

Family stay 3 nights, 2 adults, 3 kids. We had a suite. The view was great. The first night we arribed we used the valet parking for $42. The rest of the time we used the $5 parking RIGHT across the street from the hotel. The hotel was very conveniently located, we walked most of the time. Is safe. Clean, pool was a hit for the kid. Can’t complaint.

Excellent location, clean, staff was accommodating. It is right downtown. I see other comments about people who are homeless nearby and that is accurate, which is true for any downtown area in any large city. If that is a concern for your stay, a downtown area is probably not the right place. The hotel was safe, with appropriate city security measures and my family never felt unsafe or uncomfortable in the area. It was beautiful and we will stay in the area again.

The room was amazing and the views were as well. It’s not in your control but the area surrounding your building doesn’t feel safe and it heavily populated with homeless.

Hotel was very clean, staff went above and beyond for the guests. Rooms were clean, modern, had amazing views and were very comfortable. Restaurant in hotel was delicious and free breakfast was delicious!

The hotel is well maintained and clean. We had a little difficulty ar first because our cards wouldnt work, but it was taken care of quickly. We ate in the hotel restaurant Ollies and it was very good. I loved the brisket sandwich . The waiter Allen was very nice . Breakfast in the morning had a very large spread with omelets made to order . The views of the city was amazing, and it was a short walk to our venue for the concert we were atrending.

Our overall stay was great. Parking is really expensive though The hotel was centrally located in the city so we could walk to the concert venue and around the city during the day. I loved that guest rooms floors are only accessible by way of key card in the elevator. Staff was amazing. Especially the staff inside the breakfast area each morning.. ill add, ive stayed at several Embassy hotels and have never had such a scarce happy hour. Only cherse, crackers and salsa?
